Hi, I want to create a 'Super Game'. By this I mean a game which is very popular but before we can do this we need to know what the people want. I would be very grateful if you could do the poll and/or answer the following questions: 1) What is your favourite game ever? i) Why? 2) What would you like to see in a game? 3) What game do you want next? Thank you very much. Any replies will be grately appreciated, even if you only do the poll, it'll help a lot. Of course, if you have any questions then feel free to e-mail us at vusay@hotmail.co.uk. Thank you. Lee Webber - Vusay Hello Lee! (I'm quite sure I don't know you) What I think : (Like you care!) 1) Project IGI2 i) Because it is so realistic and is modelled by Chris Ryan! 2) A game where you can just walk into any shop or building anywhere on the map. 3) Mercenaries? Not sure really.

What Is The Best Simulation Game For This Year ?
iGuest replied to arab200's topic in Computer Gaming
I agree with the majority, it's the Sim2 for me aswell. I love the game and respect MAXIS, i've always bought their line of games. Graphics:9Gameplay:7Options:10Sound:10Time/Thought:10. I personally just think it's a great game. Thanks all. Sean. -
HI All, Personally I love all of the Sims Series so getting Sim2 was always going to happen. I'm normally into battle games, but the Sims2 is a nice change. Man, what can I say? It's great, it really is. Everyone loves it in my house. The graphics are great and the way that the sims age etc. really shows how much care and though has gone into the production of the game. You always know if the game has been well though out, and the Sims2 has been planned with pinpoint precision. I love it and personally I don't think it will ever get boaring. (Maybe a little frustrating though - it's so edictive and I seem to find my self up to the early hours glued to the screen.) Sean.

Hi, Funniliy enough I played MOHAA last night but... I think it's great. Like you said it's old now, but I still don't think it's dead yet. The graphics aren't superb anymore, but there certainly aren't bad. The multiplayer is great and so is the single player. I love the entire game and everything about it and never seem to get tired of the effort made by the EA Games staff to add variety and interest to the game and plot. It's good - 10/10. Sean Webber.

18 Wheels Of Steel-pedal To The Metal Wonderful Game..
iGuest replied to iGuest's topic in Computer Gaming
Hi, I don't know if you really want a post beneath that but... I love 18 wheels of steel. I have 18WOS:Across America, but there both great games. I didn't really think that I would like it much but it is good. Cheers, Sean. -
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Come to talk about this game
iGuest replied to iGuest's topic in Computer Gaming
Hi Everyone, GTA San Andreas, what can I say? I fine piece of work by Rockstar Games. The graphics and gameplay has improved considerably from Vice City and there is much more options availible for the user. It feels more real, and you become involved in the ficitional storyline. The only thing that I don't like is the swearing. Call me a retard or what ever, but it really spoils the game. I'm not one of those people that feel it necessary to insert a swear word into every sentace. I think the character should be similiar to Tommy Vercetti, he was cool. When you've finished San Andreas you just don't feel as if you own the city. After completeing Vice City you own all of the major buisnesses and alot of property considering the size of the map, you just don't feel as in control of the cities on San Andreas, anyway:Favourite Property: Verdeant MeadowsFavourite Car: Super GT.Favourite Vehicle Type: Flying (Helicopters) or possibly Motorbikes.Favourite Weapon: Silenced 9mm.Favourite Helicopter : Raindance. Sean. -
Battlefield 1942 Does anyone here still play this?
iGuest replied to Mossaic91's topic in Computer Gaming
Yeah, I still play Battlefield 1942. I think that certain games will never die out, just like music. These modern bands come and go (busted- eh) and some bands live on for ever (Black Sabbath - yeah). I think it applies with the gaming world. I don't play it constantly, but occasionally I do enjoy playing the game. It's not bad and I don't think it will ever really become 'out of date'. Sean. -
HI Guys, I personally couldn't stop playing the SWAT series, especially no.4. I think it's either a game you love or you hate, I don't think it's really possible to be inbetween with a battle simulation like this. I don't think the multiplayer stands up to much, but that isn't really a big deal as the single player makes up for that. I only wish that (me being a Brit) you played as part of the Special Air Service (S.A.S) which are without a doubt the most skilled Special Forces team in the world. Apart from that, I think the games great. Sean.

HI, In answer to your question they are making a vehicle that no longer runs on petrol. They were going to use solar powered cars but it was no good. They already have a prototype of the model you mensioned. By 2010 they should be on the market. I seems strange doesn't it? By 2060 there will be [/b]no petrol (oil) left on this planet. I wonder how long it will be before todays Mitsubishi Evolution 8.0 is looked upon to be like a 1932 Opal Blitz? Sean.

Acehtml anyone use this program???
iGuest replied to organicbmx's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Hi, Don't worry yourself mate. I use AceHTML and I know that your not alone. It seems to be a small population of the designer world, but it's a good one. I don't think anyone really knows the advantages of AceHtml. I think it's great and wouldn't ditch it for the world. Sean. -
Do You Program/code Your Own Games What games have you made?
iGuest replied to FearfullyMade's topic in Programming
I've started a load of Projects, I just havn't finished them all yet. I've made: Lots of Flight Simlators Space Simulators FPSs (Mainly S.A.S games and the gulf war) This one I'm working on now. A really addictive yet simple game And loads more.. I'm not bothered if I don't finish them. I am a game developer but I get the most fun out of just making them. You find the game you like and is right, and you'll keep on making it. Never be put off if you get bored of one and stop. -
Yehr, I've heard good things about the first one (Beginning C++ Game Programming (Game Development Series). I think any book would help though, and if your just starting 'C++' then you'll need one badly. I'd go with the first one. BTW - A lot of software companies keep these books in stock. (Even from here - the U.K) Go ring up some of them and ask if they have any in stock, and go check them out 1st hand. that's if you havn't already bought it. Failing that, just get the first one (or better still both) : any book will help a lot! Don't know how helpful I've been.

iGuest replied to IcedMetal's topic in Programming
I made this in DarkBASIC.... It's very simple, only took a few hours but is so addictive which, at the end of the day, makes any game work, no matter how bad they are. You simply go around turning the red lit boxes green. Simple Eh? ~Controls~ UP - increase speed Down - decrease speed Left - I wonder (Left) Right - Must be go back in time? Well I use DarkBASIC classic (DBc) from the same company (The Game Creators) if that's any help. Game maker is good, but is very limited. Although its fine for very basic games, you are simply selecting options, so your choice is limited. If you are really serious about programming then a good place to start is Darkbasic. It has so many features and is so simple to learn. (Sorry to sound like a salesman here.) I think it's much easier than HTML. Plus, you get all the help you need in the games amazing help files, the site forum and from the 700+ page book you can buy. Then of course there is DarkBASIC Proffesional (DB or DBP) which really is an upgraded version of DBc. I got DBc with the add-on pack Darkmatter for around £20 off amazon. (Here) Look around at DBP and other similar products like Blitz3D. I hope I've helped you. If you have any questions at all then please feel free to e-mail me.

Whats The Best Tool For A Beginner? whats the best program for a beginner?
iGuest replied to konedima's topic in Programming
I think the best launguage for developin games has got to be BASIC. It's much more simple than C++, and is usually inexspensive. Most BASIC programs use Direct X too. Check out: Darkbasic - Good Points : Inexspensive, simple, lots of customer suport Bad Points : Relatively 'Low Quality' graphics along the lines of PS1 styles. Blitz - Good Points : Relatively Inexspensive, simple, Good graphics Bad Points : More exspensive than DarkBASIC, forums are not as practical But any BASIC language is ideal for the beginner. Explore the DarkBASIC website a bit, and then see what you think. Any further questions feel free to e-mail me. -
1. A lot of people are scared that the beliefs they have been subdue to is all wrong. They do not want to take a risk and explore their imagination, in fear that a self-made object will torture them or banish then from "heaven". 2. Light propulsion is only possible if we truly want it to be. There may be a million and one ways of travelling at high-velocity speeds in space, but until we can get along on our planet, dreams of such potential to do better are quashed. 3. People who refuse to accept the basic and most fundamental laws of relativety are doing the right thing in their minds. I do not agree with it, but I do accept that they have a choice. Many scientists have tried to dismiss the laws, and now that they are re-calculating and reviewing them, they have found him to be right. 4. Are warp engines possible? In my eyes, yes. Why not? LINK Shows how the mechanics of it work on Star Trek. And we know already that a lot of Gene Rodenberry's ideas are coming into light. Just the other week I was reading an article in the Focus magazine, about cloaking. A small team of science students somewhere in America have developed a "shield" that engulfs an object, rendering it almost invisibe. I think it used mutli-directional light refraction to make it fit in (don't hold me to that). It is however very unstable and is not perfect at the moment. 5. Wormholes do exist, but they may just be another form of space travel. All theories are working in the beholder. Making it possible is the hard part. Wormholes are not exactly the best thing. They open a gateway between two places. What happens if you want to go somewhere different? In Babylon 5 I believe they used "hyperspace" or "jump". This mimicked a wormhole, however it appeared that a static station was required to generate it. 6. Sub-spatial sinking. It's what I like to think to be another from of space travel. Sub-spacial sinking isn't actually an "out-there" theory, it is something I cooked up months ago. It envolves any object (in-animate or animate) passing through sub-space folds to reach a new destination. Due to the unkown about entering sub-space this would be another harder from of travel. 7. Movement of light. I undertsand the ferace-wheel notation (go too fast and the people on the outside potentially age faster than those on the wheel). However, I don't think it really applies. When travelling at the speed of sound, people do not age quicker on the outside, it has been proven with anatomical decay of particles at start and finish. Light is just another form of energy. So why, therefore, should people in the object going at light or faster than light speed age slower? 8. Logic. Is something as humans we rely on too much. That and problem solving. Isn't it amazing how we only use upto a quarter of our brain power? This is because logic and problem solving spheres in the brain by-pass many other brain functions. One man's logic is another man's chaos. Logic is denoted by the one who sees the reasoning to the logic, where problem solving has come to a valuable end. Imagine, if we could control our logic and poblem solving to be less sharp. This would raise all of our other functions. There are people out there with elevated expertise. Often it is due to a syndrome or disease or problem. Sernat's syndrome. A person with this syndrome has almost "enlightened" abilities in one sphere of the brain, where the rest is "average" potential. The difference between Sernat's and Autism. Is that autistic's elevated ability in one field, reduces the rest of the brain's stimulation. More power is put into that area than fundamental building blocks. Autistics and Sernat's are like evolution and hyper-evolution. Autistics are challenged when it comes to communication and awareness. Whereas Sernat's are like you and me, but are genious' in a certain field, even at young ages.

Thanks saga. I'm going to use white and blues I think. Well, I suppose a bit like this site. And I used to code HTML all the time. I don't know how much I can rember though, long time ago. Now I use the BASIC launguage for designing games so it seems as if I'm going to be looking over 'HTML for dummies' a bit more. But thanks for re-plying. -
I agree with U21WebberL. Crazy taxi is annoying. It was first developed by SEGA for arcade use, and when it was put onto Dreamcast there wasn't much though put into exspanding the game for home use. When you play in the arcade, you want a simple game that you can complete, but when you purchase a game, you want to be able to get drawn into it. I think if more care was put into the game ie: giving freeplay or adding a story line then it would be a pretty good game, but it's just to simple for my liking. Sean Webber.

Hi, I personally have no great experience with film making. I have however created a couple of video presentations for my previous website. I don't really know any specific programs that can help you out here. I generally tended to use Windows Movie Maker or similiar simple movie creater programs. I had a quick look on the internet for you and a program that I found that might be of interest to you is Video Edit Magic. Like I said I don't have any personal experience with this site, but the feedback seems to be quite good. I'll let you take a look at it and see what you think... (http://www.deskshare.com/help/vem/WhatsNew.aspx)I hope this helps and I'm just sorry that I couldn't be of more help to you. Thanks, Sean Webber.

HI, I had a look at your website and generally the design looks good, cool and profeshional. The only problem was that I didn't really feel as if I was on your site. This is hard to explain, so please bare with me here: Your site doesn't really have a specific content. I came on and I didn't really know what the site was about or what I was supposed to be looking at. I was just a little confused thats all. I entered your site and I had no idea what it was about. I think personally if you were to add an opening paragraph explaining the content of your site then this could help. Like I said, that's just my own opinion. The site looks good and I had no problems loading it. It's just a little confusing that's all. I hope this helps. Good Luck, Sean. -
Hi OpaQue, As you requested I had a good look at your site : https://xisto.com/ and I have a of suggestion for you. I hope that it will be of use. + I have spent countless hours searching the web for decent web hosters. Finnaly I have found one (Xisto.com) but one thing that all these web hosting sites have in common is their lack of examples. When I look for a website (especially paid packages) I like to know if the website supplies templates, and if they don't I believe that it should clearly visible. If I were to order from your website, I would like to know immediatly if you supply website templates, and then if you do, I would like to see a couple of examples of the templates that you offer. Apart from that I think the site looks great. I think all websites that include a flash template etc allways look good. I would like to be able to buy a pakage with a flash template or atleast a very profeshional template. Thanks for your time, Sean Webber.

Yehr, I think it's maybe too dark. Try light blues and whites. Apparently: ::For backgrounds:: White website background (reputable, mainstream) A white website background should almost always be used on a company website, or a site that is trying to sell something. The "white" theme can also be done with a navy blue background, and white text. Black website background (cool, different) A black website background should be used for any website that's even slightly non-corporate - games websites, adult websites, personal websites. If your website is a bit different, use black. Graphical website background (natural, real) Making your website background graphical (e.g. by tiling), is dangerous, and rarely looks good. A very faint photo or a well-done watermark is okay. ::Just look at some other good website templates:: Esp Guitars Microsoft Aerosmith (If your amazing at this) BC Rich Darkbasic Judas Priest ::And some proffesional Home made websites: Military Knowledge (^ You go there, come here, and see how much better Xisto is!) Anyway, I hope I've helped you. I'm definantly not an expert but if you want anyhelp - (I can do very proffesional graphics), feel free to e-mail at : vusay@hotmail.co.uk Lee Webber -

I think Crazy Taxi appeals to arcade fans, but not to the simulation freak. Back then it was fine, but I think compared with GTA5 and GT4 it is soley an arcade game. This is fine for most people however. One bad thing about Crazi Taxi, in my opinion, is that it is so annoying. And on the Dreamcast I think it was the most frustrating thing I've ever played. (Except maybe stuntman. Ever tried playing that without coffee?) Whats this new game where you continiously blow up things? That looks fun! One last thing. Demolition Derby back on the PS1! That was awsome! Anyone agree?
