Trap17 Sig Tournament #1 -- Finals Biscuitrat vs. Truefusion
iGuest replied to Johnny's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
It took about five minutes for the whole tournament to be forgotten. This is just sad - it isn't fair to myself or True to have to persuade people to vote - we have to think of some way to advertise the tournament beforehand so this doesn't happen again -
Evolution Or God... How were we created?
iGuest replied to Nemisis's topic in Science and Technology
I don't know if there is a god, don't know if there is a Buddha, I do know, things happen for what they are meant for. We can't explain how we were born, or how we were even put on this planet, but we can say, we are evolving. Maybe someone gave us te intellect to do so? Who knows. We are evolving by ourselves, by what we were given at birth. Someone can't possibly control what we are doing am I correct? I believe we are justified for the actions we make, and how it will affect OUR OWN future. We built this place ourselves, the only thing someone can give us is the small push to start. Whoever created us, didn't possibly mean us to evolve so rapidly. That's what I think. It's hard to base it on anything but your own opinion, but at least it's something, and you should respect yourself for doing so in finding what you might believe it to be. -
Im sorry Reaver but your wrong they dont use a cheat to show the hitboxes its just a command and i think they have adressed the problem through steam update.

I have tried most of the programs here but the one that has served me the best is f-secure antivirus. Its free (6 month trial but u can keep on re-registering with a new name )and is very powerful. i surf the web and as soon as i go on a site or click on a link that has a virus it automaticly pops up and all u do is click next and the virus is gone. Not like Avg where it was almost impossible for me to every delete a virus. Now my computer has not one virus in it I am almost posotive. and i would also recommend Ad-aware for removing spyware its very powerful.

Task Manager Processes: Which Are Safe To Shutdown
iGuest replied to iGuest's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Well you usually know which ones are safe to shutdown by looking at there names for instance if i had aim open and i saw aim.exe i would no that would terminate aim but mostly the not safe ones wont let you shut them down or if you think u just did just click on run and retype the process u just terminated. Good Luck. -
I love games and love almost any game that has action and is just fun to keep on playing. I have been to many sites and the best are http://www.miniclip.com/games/en/ and http://www.popcap.com/ now almost everybody knows about miniclip but popcap is mostly not know of but they have games that are addicting well some of them like the fish tank game where you have to help a fish live its life going through levels while it has babies and is attacked and need to be feed and you need to get money from some of its friends. All in all game sites are awesome and game militia is pretty cool too .

Bob Stein has just posted that the next version Windows, currently codenamed 'Longhorn', will in fact be named Windows Vista. There is currently no confirmation or announcement from Microsoft on this, but as I am in Seattle meeting some people from Microsoft at the moment I will be asking around... Update: Microsoft has just posted their 6AM PST Press Release confirming that Windows: Codename Longhorn will be called Windows Vista. Microsoft has also launched their official "Windows Vista" web page. Announced on the page: "Beta 1, targeted at developers and IT professionals, will be available by August 3rd 2005". Update: Steven Bink along with numerous other Windows enthusiast site admins have suggested we nickname Vista "WinVi". "Vi is the first two letters of Vista, and Windows Vista is Windows NT 6.0. In Roman Numerals VI is the number six". ActiveWin is reporting that the official tagline for WinVi is "Clear, Confident, Connected: Bringing clarity to your world". View: Windows Vista Announcement (Requires WMP) View: Image Gallery Homepage and more info here: Enjoy!

A recent Tech Tip covered the basics of selecting a computer case and made mention of the various sizes that correspond to motherboards of different form factors. A few people wrote in expressing interest in understanding more about the basics of motherboards, and thatâs exactly what this Tech Tip intends to address. A motherboard, also known as a main board, is the primary circuit board inside of a computer, and is where the central processing unit (CPU), memory, expansion slots, drives, and other peripheral devices are connected. The circuitry on a motherboard facilitates the communication between all of the devices in the computer, making them as critical to a systemâs performance as items such as the CPU or memory. The core circuitry of a motherboard is referred to as its chipset, and generally the manufacturer of the motherboard is not the manufacturer of the chipset. Intel does produce motherboards with their own chipsets, but buying a motherboard brand such as Gigabyte, Biostar, and ASUS means getting a board with either a VIA, Nvidia, SIS, or Intel brand chipset. How many mp3s are on your computer? I had over 600, but they all got trashed... now I have maybe 3-- something. What was your most recent download? Do you have your songs categorized? What's the best media player? My last download was Barry Canning - The One. I did have my songs categorized before they were all trashed. Now I have 2 folders, but many of the songs are in both folders. I have Winamp on my old computer, but I use RealOne Player on this one. Are there any better ones?

Is anyone here into overclocking their computers? It's pretty cool stuff. I have a p2.4c that I overclocked to 3.1ghz and it runs great. There's a noticible difference in speed. I get about 25idle/40load temps on stock intel cooling, which isn't bad at all. I'm gonna get one of those Zalman heatsinks one of these days and try to push my P4 a little more. I'd also like to overclock my 9800pro and see what it can do. Has anyone else tried overclocking?

BTW I am in no way responsible if you screw up your PC.... :These Settings will fine tune your systems memory management -at least 512MB of ram recommended.Go to start\run\regedit - and then to the following keyHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management1. DisablePagingExecutive - double click it and in the decimal put a 1 - this allows XP to keep data in memory now instead of paging sections of ram to harddrive yeilds faster performance.2. LargeSystemCache - double click it and change the decimal to 1 - this allows XP Kernel to Run in memory improves system performance alot.Reboot and watch your system fly ..happy tweakin

Have any of you tried partitioning your computer drive to install Fedora in addition to windows? If so, I wish for some comments on how it went, or if you know information please share. I'm interested in trying this out. Does it in any way slow my system down? I'm currently running on Windows XP Home Edition...thanks -

Is it true that you can store ordinary data into DVD? If it's so, can you make a bootable DVD? How about an audio/mp3 DVD? Does DVD stand for "Digital Video Disc"? If so, how can it store data when it is called a digital VIDEO disc?
