i prefer the good old windows live messenger its simple easy to use and it looks great. I will always stick with msn as i know how to use it and its a good program!!!! i reccomend it its very very easy!

If you are using a firewall check whether yahoo messenger is added to allowed list. I am using Zone labs Zone alarm security suite and i experienced this problem after going through the help I allowed Yahoo messenger to act as a server then I had no problem thereafter. So check your firewall if you are using it.

Well changing the encoding to Western ISO shows it correct, which suggests that's the encoding being used for the menu. Maybe part of the site, grabs ISO encoded data, that needs to be converted to Unicode, or you need to make sure each page, including external scripts be UTF-8 encoded when saved. Most editors should be capable of doing that, if not, then I don't think you should use those editors.Javascript works on UTF-16, so it's output should be fine, it could screw up with it's content it grabs though.I can't really dive too much into all this, I'm tired as anything, just got home, so hopefully you can sort it.Cheers,MC

As I understand it, you want a three column flex-width design? If for some reason all three columns get stretched by the width, the horizontal scrolling will force visitors away, but it is your site, I suppose.I visited the tabled sites and neither of them had sidebar content longer than the centre section, so I am confused about what you want or need. POst back with clarification, please.

Down at the bottom of the page, there are four separate Audio clips which can all be played at the same time. I discovered this accidently.You might want to control them to allow only one at a time.

From reading up on this problem, it seems totem-xine has a problem and audacity with audacity-nonfree (choose 1 or the other, not both).Other than that, unless I install FC6 (still running FC5), then I can't provide any more information on this problem.As for installing needed libraries that are missing, if you've got a fast internet connection it is quite easy to do, or you could grab them off the CD, I just prefer the internet because you'd be getting the most uptodate version.Cheers,MC

As a project to "boilerplate" some text, I had this idea of making a couple of textareas in html and having a single click on the input button copy the contents to the clipboard and then pasting the text into another blank textarea. Several textareas would contain the different pieces of text and I would then be able to 'assemble' the full text into the 'blank' textarea and then, of course, copy this entire piece to the clipboard and migrate it to the final spot for copying. Anyways, BuffaloHELP had the basic code for the javascript, but it seems that this code only works in Internet Explorer. I understand the Gecko Browsers (and Opera/Netscape) use a different scripting language.
