Just wondering how many people have a legit/bootleg copy. The price of the OS, I think it should be a bit cheaper and bootlegging might not be so common. I realise those who download torrents and what not will always... but perhaps some others would rather buy a copy and have the support/no issues rather than save a few hundred bucks and deal with the problems. There is speculation that google might go into the phone market. rumor has it that google is developing a phone (possibly to compete with ihpone) and the mobile subscription would be free! Of course, it would be ad supported - but I wouldnt mind a 5 second ad before making a FREE phone call. Source: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

You shoulda took side roads and stuff. Actually Im not to keen on where you are, im north of toronto and theres alot of country. So to get to toronto, tere is a freeway 15 minutes east of my small town, and a couple highways in the cities direction. But normal I'd rather take a sideroad if I hear the 401 is backed up cause then you know all the highways are going to be jammed. 401 usually isnt too bad... busy enough.

Why is cool air better to use in a motor than warm air? I am assuming cool air combusts more because it expands as it heats - but thats just my logic taking a wild guess.

The Most Most Most Annoying Website Ever Made In World
9block replied to Evil Guy's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I just held enter and it flew through them in bout 30 seconds. Only thing sucks, is you dont know how long it will be but I've run into a few sites like that. Its all in good fun. Theres always http://www.youareanidiot.org/ aswell- but thats not to bad. I hate when people (I do it all the time) type with loftsa mstkees and sometimes when people use CAPITAL LETTERS FOR NO REASON! -
Wow, ive never heard someone say that before. Um, have the tried the latest... maybe your refering to the early days? Either that or you like to go against the grain. Whats cool about this thread, is it dates back 3 years, and when it first started everyone used IE6 on SP2... with some opera's and i seen a mozilla 0.91 lol. But as the thread progressed through the pages... firefox slowly slipped in there. Hopefully the trend follows and takes Ie soon. They must be making a bundle with the search bar built in.

Same for me. I just googled around and found http://www.stuffplug.com/?act=features which gives msn some extra features and allows firefox to be the mail browser.

Whats Important To You When Designing Your Web?
9block replied to Ninkul's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Well, theres two obvious ways to go. When everyone has been saying simplicity, they are talking design. However simplicity can often be complicated to design effectively, which makes it nice. But, sometimes creating that b-e-a-utiful graphical layout that isnt bulky and still amazing... is, well, amazing. I personally dont worry bout dial up users. Anyway, for myself, it depends on the project. If the project contain alot of text, articles, ect... then the site should be developed simple. However, if the content is graphical based... then I believe the site should be heavy. Thats within reason. Of course, good-tutorials.com did a good job, but alot of the sites they lnik to are graphical because they have tutorials. Meanwhile GT is simple, but they depend on a directory which is very textual. So, if you have alot of textual content, then rely on simple. If you have good quality content, then rely on simple. However, if your content if graphical, or lacking - sometimes you have to cover up with a nice layout that makes some "awwweeeeee"'s. In the end, it is in the best interest of the designer. Depending on what you want from your site. -
Im just upping this... still cant download need help!

I Love My Neighbor, I Get Free Internet From Them
9block replied to musicfreak's topic in Computer Networks
I disagree. If you are using the internet for surfing&email and what not... I think it is fine as the other user will never notice and it wont affect them. If you thin you have nice neighbors, you can go over and ask and explain and everything should be fine. however if your downloading movies/pron/music ect and really abusing it, then it is wrong. You should ask them anyways, or offer to show them how to secure their connection if they allow you to use their secure network. That way no one else can tap in. -
I actually think that is a brilliant idea. If you punish employers for hiring illegals then the illegals wont have jobs, and therefore have no reason to come to america. This has two loopholes. Seeing as they are already set up for creating forged documents, obviously they can forge more to become "legal" - however the law will make it harder for most, and impossible for some. Next to that, there are many farms that hire under the table. I live in Canada, and I live in a potato town. Every friday a couple buses come into town with mexican's galore. I have no idea if these people are illegal or not, and I am not going to assume whether they are, or if they are not. But I could bet you that most of them are under the table with there wages.

If you want a more professional look, I can give you a layout... Actually I can do better as I found this tutorial while researching the matter. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Read this. It is a great idea, and you can start professionally recording your guitar for a few hundred bucks. I recording vocals, and I have a cheaper mic (hope to upgrade soon), its a MXL, round $50 - with a tube preamp and I run that through my line in on computer and the vocals generally sound fairly well. I've been tuning it for months and Ive learned what sounds good. You can see a vague picture of it in my profile.

How To Design A Scan Line Fill Effect In Photoshop
9block replied to soleimanian's topic in General Discussion
Good Tip.. I recommend using 1x2 so the lines are thinner - i find it more popular and attractive. With this method you can also do alot of different fills.. dots, vertical/horizontal/diagonal lines, squares, circles... ect. -

lol! Last night I was watching Jay Leno... and is his opening gig when he makes jokes he brought of this cat. I am going to paraphrase here..."Im not a doctor or anything, but did anyone think maybe these people were allergic to the cat?"lol thought i'd point that out. made me laugh.

Actually, the server loaded fairly quick for me. Faster than T17. But the speed does depend on two main things.. the visitor and the server. Lets assume it is the server in your case. Google slow server issue and youll get a few sites that will give you possible causes and solutions. Here are the test results I ran on your site... FYI: Xisto was measured at 1.64sec and the average speed for the past 3380 test results is just over 4 seconds. So the server actually doesnt look to bad to me - you can do a free website test at http://www.vertain.com/ Notice from Plenoptic: Quoted listed sites

I dont know much about EU, actually I know nothing and have never heard of it, but from the topic I have guessed what they do. I don't see a problem with that at all! That's what business is about, when your competition is cheaper, you either go cheaper to compete, or you do something better to keep the same prices. So how can an organization say thats unfair when it sounds like normal practices?

10 Reasons Why People Don't Visit Your Web Site
9block replied to JField's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Well obviously we are all trying to make websites, and there is simply too much competition. millions of sites out there just like ours, so the only way to succeed is to be original and unique which is very hard when your competition with so many. -
What Processor You Have? PC processors only please.
9block replied to finaldesign's topic in Hardware Workshop
I have an 1800+ amd, and im not satisfied anymore what so ever. I cant play any of the better games and I really need to update. But for me to do so i would have to update my motherboard aswell -
Well, to be honest with you, I am going to be closed minded in this situation and not believe in the site until it becomes a popular choice. there are many publishing websites out there but adbrite and adsnese seem to be the two better ones and they are popular for a reason. While I hate to let the underdog go unnoticed, in this case im going to have to because of past experiences. if this site ever grows and becomes popular, perhaps id join up, but with the methods they use to make and sell their service, I doubt they will.

Try this... http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ i unno if itll work for you but thats how i get to my cpanel - im runnin on a sub domain so it should work for you even though you on a domain cause im guessing its straight through the Xisto server.

Mozilla Firefox Poll Give your view about the FireFox browser
9block replied to yasir's topic in The Internet
mandy, I know where your coming from for sure, but the whole reason that happens is because off CSS. Both browsers read CSS different as Ie supports some extra commands. In Mozilla's defense - IE supports commands that are valid or standard through out the web. Thats why those "cool" little webpages with lost of little cool designs and CSS styled scroll bars ect dont show, or show differently. Related to tht, some webpages will display different on Ie/Mozilla because of the CSS Positioning bug. Mozilla and IE read the margin's different. If you were to research the matter, Mozilla has been said to be correct in rendering CSS while IE 5/6 has had alot of bugs relating to rendering the CSS. I am not sure about 7, but I do know the difference between the margin readings do exist as I had a problem with a website I was designing. -
Girls - What Kind Of A Date Do You Want?
9block replied to trace-uk's topic in Dating And Relationships
Me and my girlfriend never really had dates. Sure we went to the beach occasionally, caught a movie here and there, did this and that... but only if it came up with other friends. If we are alone together, we just like to stay in and watch movies, tv. As long as me and my girlfriend are togetehr then we don't care what we are doing. often she'll watch tv and lie in my bed beside the computer, where I am, and we both enjoy that. We like to go out with our friends... (no longer my friends and her friends). I guess thats the best way to do things.Sometimes we are apart, like today shes at her moms friends house for a few days, so I get to goout with the boys and she does her thing. But thats rare and only if we are being suffocated type deal.
