  1. Phil is great lol, rather pointless though career wise :XD:In my opinion...Technically everything is real, theres no such thing as something being fake since... you're here imagining, i mean even if what i'm reading here is just simply here because my brain thinks it is here or wants it to be here or find something spectacular thats not in the conscious part of my brain, its real nonetheless?Lets say everything here is virtual in a computer, it still exists its not "fake".I mean you could come up with any sort of theory and nobody could prove or disprove it really in any way. I'll make one up right now.Everyone's brains are connected subconsciously much like a computer network and jointly together we've created a physical world from this. Saying this we have a part of our brain that "lives" but isn't controlled by us. So it gathers information from what we know and builds on it.Now, who can disprove/prove it? :)Edit:Its just fun to think about
  2. lol, well what happened in the 3 weeks wasn't really too much at all, dont really remember it too well :XD:But yeah online stuff does work out every now and then but not too often. The whole people are different online and offline. Since you're online, you're not staring dead into their face being like "oh crap!". Psychological stuff people show different qualities and emotions with other people around than by yourself. But yeah, also i got made fun of it i kept on getting quoted "AHH!! I SEE YOU EVERYWHERE ON THE INTERNET ...and now we got out" lol.
  3. Is it just me or are the charts being flooded more and more with bad music?Although i suppose it did hit its peak of worst about a year or so ago... still? :S Notice from BuffaloHELP: Topic modified.
  4. I'm no fan of mac but...The iPod is made for simplicity. I by far rather my choices since they're more well informed and do more and i'm bothered to learn how to use them.I now prefer phones with MP3 support over mp3 players in general. They play music, i can put it in my pocket without any worry. Now the iPhone is honestly a joke in my opinion. You pay that much to get half the features of a phone the same price made by say Nokia or SE. The 3 things its got going for it are a) its apple, :XD: big screen, c) touch screen.
  5. Well, i have a K800i, i like it over the N73 which i almost chose (my brother's GF has it). I dont like motorolla, their GUI's are horrible compared to SE's. The SE's media player/camera are fantabulous (yes, fantabulous). Although their next lineup of handsets dont seem that great (K850i, W960i), their accessories are lovely though . I'm personally going to buy the K850i next though purely for the 5mp camera and price. Unless it isn't that great, which then i may consider a N95 when the price slips to about $650NZD (thats a long time away ) I haven't used Nokia a wholleee lot but i love their simple phones, i dont really like the design of some of their newer phones, those similar to N95/E65/6288 are nice looking but i've never really liked sliders a whole lot, txt/smsing on them without predictive is a bit annoying. I shal always love the candybar
  6. Weeeelll, this is what happened. I normally use this networking website called bebo and i keep running into this particular girls profile on people i know's profiles. I sit there wondering who on earth she is but never really bothered messaging her or anything. A little bit down the year i click one of my friend's profiles on myspace (i have like 8 friends) and BAM! she's there. I said something along the lines of "@#$*&%* I SEE YOU EVERWHERE ON THE INTERNET!" Well, we ended up messaging around every corner and i find out i know a helluvalot of her friends and she happened to fit into a couple of categories of types of people i like *cough*englishaccents, braces*cough* (ps, i was 17 back when this happened so braces wasn't seedy back then x_o -- she's 16). I also find out she takes the same bus as me (20 minutes earlier though) and a bunch of other random stuff that would make me seem i tad stakerish (oops?) Well one day we end up meeting and stuff. 3 weeks down the track i get broken up with (not an awful lot happened there), but lesson learnt. Never go out with anyone from the internet --it wasn't working well at all. We're still good friends and i've made a heap of new friends and stuff throug her. Personally i'd never reccomend going out with anyone from the internet unless you've phoned them/etc and yeah . I've met a few people from the internet and they were pretty much how they were online Make friends not love, at least meet them and know them for a while before deciding you like them Okay that wasn't particularly exciting but hey
  7. SP1 isn't going to add much, i'm presuming its going to just fix up everything but then again, i suppose XP was a bit like that too?I cant honestly say i'm estatic over it but yeah, Vista works fine for me at the moment, i stopped using anything more than using it for internet, stupid uni
  8. ITF style TKD (TaeKwonDo). Its not really effective at all in a fight, its good if you like TaeKwonDo, its horrible if you want to fight ANYONE other than another ITF member. In tournament you cant:Use excessive/uncontrolled force (they cant be random kicks/stuff although this is ignored heaps, bleeding/broken things/KO's are rare)Attack below the belt ANYWHERE unless they have their shins up for blockingUse any other tool for attacking except fists & feetKO = disqualify usuallyand a bunch of other silly stuff. WTF TKD is more of a contact sport. ITF TKD really looks at form and precision over combat, its a peaceful martial art in my opinion. I'm currently a green stripe at it and have passed with only "A pass"s so far, just means i did particularly well *shrug* O_oWhiteYellow stripeYellowGreen stripeGreenBlue stripeBlueRed stripeRedBlack stripeBlack (1-9th Dan)Between each Dan you have to wait the number of dan you are in years before the next grading.Generally the only people that use it for sport are the 16~24ish age group since they're the fittest and lightest.
  9. I have to agree that there are still a proportionate amount of dial-up users (old people) but most of the youngans that go to the "pop" websites are kinda broadbandish. I only know a couple of people my age with dialup.I work in technology/stuff shop (*BLEEP* Smith Electronics -- Aus/NZ store) and even then only old people have dialup usually or people that dont use computers much at all that i talk to.
  10. ummm... what? Its all great that the transfer speed is great but i'm preeeettttyyy surrreee my hard drive cant write that fast *dances*
  11. I was just wondering what everyone else thinks is important when they design their website?Personally i like simple, easy to read websites with minimal actual graphics. Most of the websites i make are very graphics light and are usually very dial-up friendly. Just plain but attractive (or at least i try to make it that way )
  12. Umm... yeah just looking at the first few posts on this threat, you cant really use php on its own? *blinks*.I mean php is just server-side scripting and html is client-side scripting (visual). You kinda need html if you're using php :S?But yeah, php<3 :Phtmlness good too
  13. I personally HATE flip phones :PMost flip phones i've used are HORRIBLE to txt/sms on just becuase they are thin as hell. I'm a txter (i can txt rather fast) and flip phones aren't the best for it. The buttons in a lot of flip phones dont really feel like buttons especially with motorola's RAZR's etc, i mean.. when you press the buttons it doesn't really feel like one? I like my pressy-buttons!! :PSliders are alright but they're not the best for txting since if you want to press the same button twice (if you're not using predictive/T9 -- i do), you have to press the directional keys which are in an awkward position for your thumb. They're alright though and stylish.I like the candybar best because, you take it out of your pocket and everythings just there. I haven't really had any problems with unlocking etc.I'll stick with my K800i for now thanks ..maybe i'll get that K850i when it comes out too ;P
