  1. Nice theory, almost sounds like a joke but makes sense in a way.One thing though, love can not take the place of a habit or hobby, no matter how hard you try.
  2. Truth be said, no one ever really gets over their first love if it was real. The feeling does go down after a while though but it never really dies. You learn to live with it and move on.
  3. You've got a point. But there you do need to know that before marrying anyone, you should ask yourself "can i live with this person for the rest of my life" - good and bad qualities...?No one should get married in the hope of the partner changing in time. You need to decide based on facts on ground,, not some grand idea in the distant future.
  4. Could you do a system repair with windows installation CD.You put the CD in the drive, boot from from CD and after it loads, pick the option to install windows on the system (not repair windows!!!). On the next window, press F8, then pick the option to REPAIR THE INSTALLATION.The above will replace all system files with fresh ones from windows CD.I hope this helps.
  5. From what you written, I get the idea that you play nice guy with her and all. You should know that most girls would always lay the "we are friends" line on you when you are like that.I am not too sure you can correct the situation but here is my advice for now, give her some space... let her be the one trying to contact you and if she does not, move on with your life. Like someone said before, give her space - lean back. I know this may be difficult for you under the circumstance but if you want a chance at her actually liking and getting attracted to you, you need to give her space. Life does not stop and end with her.You feel you need her. WRONG! what is happening is that you want her badly. If she goes, you will continue living. Have that at the back of your mind. Develop and attitude around that.Sorry, I am a little blunt. I hope you understand what I have said though.
  6. It can be frustrating staying away from smoking and still getting to smoke. I've been in situations like that and I had to make my position known and my friends understood. They avoid smoking when I am around. I believe it is all about mutual respect and regard so we can all live together happily not unnecessarily discomfitting one another.
  7. Sorry to bust in on u guys but I was thinking does anyone know where I can get a windows emulator for ubuntu linux?
  8. me too. just installed ubuntu on my laptop alongside windows xp.
  9. been using the trnasformation pack on laptop and the thing's been slow. didn't make the connection no until reading some posts here. i guess i will have to remove it as i am doing practice in oracle on the same system. There is actually nothing like the real thing. I've seen vista and i think the graphics are out of this world. it appears to have more security checks than windows xp. But one cant say too much as I only used for a while on a friend's laptop. the word around though is that it is memory guzzling, so take heed.
  10. I agree. Came here for the same thing - a step-by-step guide or something of the sort. Anyone got any idea how to change the boot up song on windows xp as well as the loading windows xp screen on boot up to a custom image or GIF?
  11. Flips without doubt. You just gotta hold right and use the thumb to flip it open whilst rasing it to your ear...there aint nothing like the smoothness of the two movements rolled up into one. I used a samsung flip for over two years and the only reason why i had to change after it had fallen into the toilet, was on me when i was accidentally electrocuted in the rain and fallen several times too numerous to mention was that it was stolen.Forget the ribbon getting "dodgy", flips are IT!!!Right now i use a nokia 6085 and its da bomb!!!
  12. Nice list but should not be taken as a rule. These things are very different for different people from different cultures
  13. Good comment but your belief does not erase the fact that these things do generate some radiation that may be harmful to a human. Note the fact that MAY is the functional word in the previous statement... I dont think anyone would like to be a guinea pig on this topic so I advise try as much as you can to use a headset or something of the sort. Oh and yeah there something to be said for the fact that there is a proliferation of communication masts around, so whether you like it or not, you get hit by the radiation. So u use a cellphone or not, we all are victims. If we were to consider the prevalence of cancer and some other "strange" diseases now, one would say generally that modernisation might have in its own way "modernised" ( /mutated?) diseases.Well what can we do but PRAY!!!
  14. I have a nokia 6085. It has this simple cool look but dont be deceived, the stuff's got just about all the functionality you'd find in any high priced much vaunted phone around. check out the specs and tell me its an untruth. i love the phone
  15. ehmm, does anyone know when its due to be released on DVD?
  16. My favourite films?Blade TrilogySpiderman 1- 3MatrixBut the best of the lot really has to be Lord of the Rings (the trilogy)
  17. Nice to know I am not alone in my quest for some cash online and all. One thing though I do not have a website yet, aint there other ways of making a buck?Waiting and hoping ....
  18. Good to see such glowing praises for Ubuntu. I hear there are places online where u could apply and the media would be sent to you free.Anyone has any idea where i could get the Ubuntu Beryl please...
  19. Wish there were better ways of making money online than "typosquatting", it's not my idea of making money. There's gotta be other means other than feeding on the crumbs that drop off the table of creative people.
  20. Do let me know when u get that. Just switched to Linux on my personal computer.
  21. I know most of you guys have seen or are already a part of an HYIP (High Yield Investment Programme). I feel there is need for us to start sharing information on the good ones between ourselves for our protection.Maybe I should tell you a little tiff i had with one or two - Actionhyip.com & kostagroup.com. The first one, I paid in with the gaurantee of 5 times what i put in and well i saw it reflect the next day. I placed a withdrawal and it withdrew but nothing entered my e-gold account (about three days now). And the second one, I was able to withdraw. I put the amount back in but the next thing, I could not access the site anymore. Today I thru anonymoius browsing, I was able to access the site and found out that the initial payment into the programme was no longer there. I tried to withdraw and then the site became inaccessible. ACTIONHYIP & KOSTAGROUP are definitely scams. Steer clear.I really would appreciate it if given a pointer as to which ones are relatively more reliable, anyone?.I am on http://ww2.wallstreetltd.com/rg-erdr.php?_rpo=t now and they seem ok though I am yet to make any withdrawals. Their interest is pretty low but they seem to know what they are about. They've got an explanation for how they make the money at least. I will let you all know how i fare with them in time.
  22. Ok, you could start with taking slimming tea. It is a fast way to slim down. Now to stay slim is another kettle of fish. You may need to cut down on all fatty foods. Watch what you eat. Try and walk around as much as you can for short distances - a sedentary lifestyle encourages weight gain. That should help.
  23. I really do not have the time for exercise. Once, I tried some puch up in the morning before work, I was weak all thru. Wish there was a way to stay in shape doing them exercises without necessarily getting weak in the process.Anybody's got any ideas?
