  1. Most compressing software is KGB Archiever. It can compress some 100 MB to 10 KB (Note the K and M!).However to use such extent of compression, you will need a fast computer and lots of uninterrupted power.I downloaded a 60KB file and uncompressed it to become 623MB. And it took me 13 hours to do so. Also, I had to suffer power surges and had to restart after about 70% done. And to compress to this extent, you will need about 2GB RAM (not very common) but sometimes it works with 1GB.
  2. Firefox is the best overall. It has lots of plug-ins which make your life really easy. Tabs are very convenient. Also, the freeware-ship is encouraging.Opera is good for secure browsing. It, too, has tabs and no cost.
  3. There are many ways to customize XP. 1) Get Object Desktop: This can be expensive if you buy it. These include: - WindowsBlinds - DesktopX - Object Bar OR Object Dock (different software but with the same purpose) - Cursor XP - Login Studio - Boot screen - and some small utilities to switch themes 2) Change shell: Set all of these and try'em (in order of preference) - only free ones: - LiteStep - Sharp Environment (a.k.a. SharpE) - Xoblite - Talisman 3) Combination: Get these software: - LiteStep - WindowsBlinds - Google Desktop - Rocket Dock - Cursor XP - Samurize - Windows FX - any good graphics editing software to create custom graphics Use Google to find the latest versions: https://www.google.de/?gfe_rd=cr&ei=BwkjVKfAD8uH8QfckIGgCQ&gws_rd=ssl Notice from serverph: mostly plagiarized from source below. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  4. What is a shell? A shell is a normal executable which will replace the taskbar (at the bottom). This is achieved by not running explorer.exe but instead the another exe. It can be just any exe and usually has more useability and functionality. Shell in Windows: Actually, Windows has three executables running that can be called a shell: 'explorer.exe', 'Task Manager' and the 'Run...' dialog. The TaskBar (big bar at the bottom, usually) is a part of explorer.exe. Shell generations: This shows that Windows has a first generation shell. There are three generations: Windows has first; Aston is first; LiteStep and SharpE are second; DesktopX is third (yes, DesktopX by Stardock is a shell). The difference is that first generation loads everything at start up; second loads everything on-demand (as separate processes) with a 'core' as in SharpE that has SharpE Core, SharpE Bar, etc. Third generation is made for appearence rather than performance, as most PCs has good hardware (usually). List of popular Windows shells in order of preference: - Litestep (personal favourite) - SharpE - Aston (not free) - Xoblite - Black box (sister/bro of Xoblite) - GeoShell - Talisman - Default Notice from serverph: mostly plagiarized from source below.http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

  6. I have a W550i. I have had it for a year now.Its great. It has everything except symbian and memory card.
  7. That's sick. Unethical and morally incorrect.First thing, corpses are not allowed to be burnt in some religions.Second, its sick!
  8. It uses the Newton engine which allows for the realistic interactions with objects. Its not FPS (like nicholi.p) said but still a great addition to the first person gaming archive. The game play is so intense and captivating that I played it from midnight till my 6.30 am alarm without realizing it!If you can play such games I suggest you get it.
  9. That's exactly what I wanted to know! Thanks, cj-real!The second thing is that the images I put in the bottom and right frames don't join. There is a gap. I tried aligning but it didn't work.No worries, though. I have changed the design to include less images.
  10. Renegade is a first/third person shooter, unlike all other C&C RTS.Btw, I liked Renegade but its kinda old now. Better games are available.
  11. I am looking for a skinnable media player for Ubuntu. Or will I have to continue using Shareaza with Wine?
  12. I, like koychev, think that Winamp is the best.If you want a different one, why don't you use VLC Player? It can anything (almost).Or search:live stream internet radio
  13. Along with the hosting option, the forums itself are good, too.I heard about Xisto some time ago but did not join as I thought it would be like all other forums, but its not. Its way better.
  14. I am listening to local music which you wouldn't know about. But from the international one, I usually listen to Linkin'Park, Limp Bizkit, Nickleback and some trance people like Pink Floyd, ATB and Telepopmusik.
  15. I have a PS2 because by brother wanted one. I think a PC is a gaming console in itself, along with other abilities.
