I hate buying bottled water when I can get it from my tap at home instead AND it tastes better at home. Secondly for me it is a waste of plastic- if I want water I will simply bring my water bottle from home and keep it in my bag. Problem Solved :)As for it containing acids, why am I not surprised? Anything in plastic probably gets contaminated.

I think India. They are growing at a faster rate than China and are apparently going to overtake China in terms of population in the next 100 years.English will undoubtedly be the world language, with most of the internet in English. Chinese will suffer greatly as it is only spoken in China and surrounding countries, while English is spoken in about 50 countries, including India.

Perhaps people will learn like 3 languages, and eventually those 3 will merge and become a super language? With words from English, French, German, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean etc. etc...

I have FS2002, its pretty cool. Someday I should buy the new FSX, but then again FS2002 does the job so why bother

I know heaps of people who hate it. It's good to see others share the concerns.I would switch to GMAIL in a heartbeat, but I don't think its possible to use it with MSN, and I would need to transfer ALL my contacts over and all the hundreds of saved emails it just wouldn't be worth it.And I would be pedantic to think they would have an option just to switch it all over in one click. LOL.A200

I have never made a cake by microwaving it... are you sure this will work? Wouldn't it just heat the mixture, not bake it?If it works, I have to try it some day.A200

But isn't England a part of the UK?
-
Hello
Well in this time and age, with the internet and technology, it will seem like everything has to be in english. Most internet sites are in english, most products made have english signage, and english is everywhere!
Or is it?
 :P :o :o :o
Well after visiting places like Paris, English is like a second offical language in the city but once you get into the rural areas of non-english speaking countries, you truly realise how unimportant English really is.
As many of you know, the most widely spoken language is Chinese, then Spanish then English. Countries such as USA, Australia, Canada, UK, NZ and South Africa are english speaking countries. But with the new financial credit crisis, will this status quo stay?
Eastern China is really booming ahead in terms of financial wealth (the same can't be said for western China) and the Chinese economy is becoming ever more important on a global scale.
To succeed, the language people might need will not be English, but Chinese, in a world where the US is not a major powerhouse, and instead, Asia is.
Countries like Australia and NZ can really be boosted with this financial might of Asia. Could we see a world where OZ and NZ gradually ditch the English language and become Chinese speaking countries? This change may take a long time to occur, but could it happen?
Could we see a trend where non English and non Chinese speaking countries change languages into one of these two? or could english be pushed away with most countries choosing Chinese?
It would be an amazing world if everyone spoke the same language, but the chances seem to be very low.
Communication worldwide would be 1000000x easier as everyone could speak to anyone on the street.
What do people here think? What is the global language? What is the future of English?

I hate SimCity Societies. It is so boring.I love SC4. I love the 1.7GB (yes, Gigabites ) of plugins in my computer that make it fun to play. Thankyou to fan sites such as SC4 Dev, Simtropolis etc. who made the game even more interesting ^_^I still wish EA had released another expansion for SC4 instead of introducing a totally new shithouse alternative.A200

Nope, Australia is NOT like America.Does Australia have massive slums, where people are killed daily by the freedom of ownership of guns? Well in Sydney, sort of, but anywhere else? NODoes Australia have a candidate for Vice Presidency (Deputy PM in OZ) who can 'see Russia from her house' and didn't know Africa was a continent? NODoes Australia use a stupid imperial system where if you dont know all the different type of measurements, you're stuffed? NOIs Australia a republic? NODoes Australia speak AMERICAN English? NOIs Australia ignorant? NODoes Australia recognise the rest of the world exists, and has a say? YESDoes Australia have the death penalty? NODoes Australia drive on the right side of the road? NO:lol:But we are Americanised to a degree-We have McDonalds everywhere, and the word "dude" is becoming ever more popular. However after being in countries like Singapore and France, I don't really think Australia is so Americanised.A200

HelloI can't access my site, a200.trap17.com, (ignore the default Xisto default page on it) but others can? I actually can access it if I go via a proxy, but directly I cannot... I can't successfully ping it either.I can access it at school and under any other internet connection, so I believe it is my ISP issue (I cant access gamma.xisto.com so it might be the whole server I cant get to). How can I resolve it? I don't know... I have tried flushing my DNS and that does not work and I am stuck for ideas Please helpA200

What Car Are You Driving?

We have three cars but only use two.My mum drives a 1996 Subaru Impreza Auto. I have driven it a few times- easy to park as it has good visibility and generally easy to drive (well it is an auto ).My dad drives a 2007 Mazda 6 diesel stationwagen Manual. The clutch is very hard to use at times and it has waaaay better acceleration than my mum's. Gearbox is a real pain as it is very easy to get gear positions mixed up and then stall the car.
