I use WS_FTP all the time! I like it because...well...it was the first FTP program I saw that offered chmodding, which I needed to my image gallery. Like ms^e said, it's not free, but it's good.

Hmm...interesting. Are you just saying this, or do you actually have proof that the devil will come when the next pope dies?

She starved herself there by being bulimic. Then, she got a stroke and became a vegetable. Therefore, if you look at it in a long-range point-of-view, she starved herself to death.

Nope. She's been a vegetable for 15 years...or at else wikipedia lied to me Yes, they did made a law about her...or at least that's what her LJ (livejournal) said. (the LJ is a joke...please don't take it seriously...and if your eyes have not lost their virginity, now is not the time to lose it [scattered bad words] )

Hey pikaz! I found two threads that may answer your question: http://forums.xisto.com/topic/7887-php-simple-login-tutorial-learn-how-to-make-a-simple-login/ and http://forums.xisto.com/topic/7887-php-simple-login-tutorial-learn-how-to-make-a-simple-login/. They're both found in the tutorial forum. Also, Xisto's search function comes in handy a lot of times for me. I don't know a lot of PHP or MySQL, so feel free to post again if those two threads don't answer your question.

You're right It did change When you go to your cPanel, or control panel, on the left side, it'll say something along the lines of "Parked Domains: x/9", where x is the number of domains that are currently parked and 9 is the maximum number of domains

Juno's Are Being Hosted In My City ...Winnipeg

Juno? You know, Juno would be an excellent name for an ISP company. Why? I don't know - I just have a feeling that it would be... -
Hmm....well....*thinks of something to say*...everybody knows Paint is the best picture editing program anway!
-
Well, that depends on your definition of "usable." You can open the icon file with Paint and still edit it (I tried). You can view the uploaded icon file in your browser by adding the code <link rel="SHORTCUT ICON" href="favicon.ico"> between the <head> tags in your HTML files (I tried this, too).

Think about it, guys. This woman got herself into this situation by being bulimic (check out https://www.wikipedia.org/ if you don't believe me). She should not have been doing that anyways, so basically, she starved herself to death. But since she was basically dead for 15 years, I think it's good that she died because the her parents can finally stop pestering about putting the feeding tube back in.

Hiroshima was one of the 2 places that the US bombed in Japan with the atomic bomb. The other place was Nagasaki. Back then, the only solution to end World War II was to bomb Japan because their military and navy force were so powerful, and they did not seem to run out of endurance. Internment camps were the place that the US government sent Japanese-Americans to because they were simply scared. After World War I, Americans did not like anybody who were not native born (immigrants). One of the reasons for this is because immigrants took away potential jobs that Americans could have had. During the World War II era, however, Americans were against Japanese-Americans and any other immigrants because they thought those people were spies. This goes back to the Red Scare era where Americans feared Communism, so the American government sent a lot of Japanese-Americans to internment camps where they had to leave all their possessions behind. These camps have often been compared in history as the American version of the Nazi concentration camps because of the horrendous conditions. After World War II, many Japanese Americans returned to find their homes and property foreclosed. Internment camps during World War II is definately a black-eye in American history.

Ahh yes, the good ol' Dreamweaver rollover code. Personally, i don't like this code because it's too complicated. Here's what I'd do: http://forums.xisto.com/topic/9135-make-image-change-when-hovered-wo-flash-how/^My instructions from another post. Feel free to copy and paste the entire thing to your site. Yes, you should add another code box that will include the HTML code to add between the <head> tags if you plan to stick with yours.

I'm planning to format my computer tonight, and I need some sort of reference about this when I get back. What is a virtual drive? A virtual drive is a shortcut to a folder hidden deep inside Windows. Instead of having an icon for the shortcut (virtual drive), you will see a drive icon with a letter that you chose when you go to My Computer after you create the drive. After completing this tutorial, you will be able to turn a long path (C:\directory\directory\more\directory\oh\my\gosh\this\is\a\long\directory\) into a drive letter (L:). Why should I have a virtual drive? Virtual drives are not a necessity. It's only there to save you time. Besides, would you rather pay money for a program that creates a virtual drive, or would you do it for free? I thought so. Let's get started Open the command prompt: press CTRL+R -> type "cmd" (without quotes) This is the command prompt...entry (I don't know the proper name) that you will be using: subst p: "C:\windows" (I chose this because everybody has this path on their computer, with the exception of Linux users). It should look somewhat like the following: CONSOLE Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]© Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp. C:\Documents and Settings\Owner> *Replace the bolded "p" in the command prompt entry with a drive letter of your choice. Important: Do NOT choose a letter that has already been chosen. You can check which ones Windows has already claimed by going to My Computer and noting all the drives you see. Generally, drives C, A, E, F, and Q are already taken. *You can replace the directory, c:\windows, with any existing directory on your hard drive *Copy the new command prompt entry (ctrl+c) Once you have copied the entry, go to the command prompt (should already been opened), right click, and select "Paste". The thing you copied above should appear on the command prompt screen. If you're using an earlier version of Windows, you should see a little clipboard icon on the command prompt toolbar. Click on the clipboard. Your command prompt window should look somewhat like the following: CONSOLE Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]Š Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp. C:\Documents and Settings\Owner>subst p: "C:\windows" Press the Enter key on your keyboard. Go to your My Computer, and you should see a new drive, P (or whatever letter you chose) Double click on that drive, and it should take you to c:\windows (or whatever directory you chose)You're done! Now, you will be able to access files in c:\windows from the P drive (or any letter you chose) by typing P:\[filename] Making it Permanent The problem with virtual drives is that they are not permanent, meaning that if you restart your computer, they will not be there anymore. Of course, everything has a loophole, so there are ways to get around this. The first method is to buy a program...with money...that will do the job. The second method is to keep reading this tutorial. Open Notepad Copy and paste the following to Notepad: subst p: "C:\windows"Of course, you can replace the drive, P:, and the directory, c:\windows, with anything you wish. Remember not to choose an existing drive and not to choose a non-existing directory. File -> Save In the "File name:" box, copy and paste the following: c:\autoexec.bat If you get a dialog box that asks if you want to replace the existing file, click No and do the following: *Open another instance of Notepad (do not close the one already opened) *File -> Open *In "File name:", copy and paste the following: c:\autoexec.bat*Press the Enter key on your keyboard*Follow steps 2 thru 3 in the "Making it Permanent" section Press ctrl+R on your keyboard Copy and paste the following:regedit On the left pane, go to:My Computer -> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Microsoft -> Windows -> CurrentVersion -> RunYour Registry Editor should look somewhat like this: ^Note the status bar at the bottom On the right pane of your Registry Editor, do the following: Right click -> New -> String Value*Name this new string "Autoexec" (without quotes) *Right click on Autoexec -> Modify -> Type "c:\autoexec.bat" (with quotes) *Close the Registry Editor Restart your computer Pat yourself on the back because you just saved yourself a couple of dollars When your computer is turning on, you should see the command prompt for a few seconds. Ignore this because it will go away. Enjoy!

Hmm, who is this host mentioned in your post? I don't think it's Xisto, because I tried uploading a picture (because it's one of the file types that gets messed up) via FTP (WS_FTP), and I was able to view the picture correctly - no pixelated image or anything. The file type didn't even change, too. If your host is Xisto, then I think it has to be your computer.

Haha, problem solved -> thread closed

Welcome to Xisto! At first, I thought you were some kid trying to be funny because of your screenname. Turns out you were a kid...about 20 years ago (no offense)As for your MySQL errors, your assumption is correct. :DOh, here are several hints for you to get started. First, don't copy and paste articles from other sources and post them here. Second, continue making good posts, similar to your first post, and you'll get a free hosting in no time!

I would not recommend adding daily cartoons and comics with JavaScript because browsers nowaday have the capabilities to turn JavaScript off, so your comic or jokes would be useless. Even though I'm saying this, I once did this using JavaScript, but it only worked on Internet Explorer, so I decided to stop doing it that way. Now, I put daily comics (from UComics) with PHP. PHP is much better than JavaScript for this because it's viewable on all browsers, quicker, and no one can see your source code. If you wanna check out my comics, go to my website. As for the source code that you need, look for it in the tutorial forum within a few days because I'll be on Spring Break, so I'll finally have enough time to play on my computer.

The words I type per minute vary everyday. On a good day, I can get anywhere from 60 WPM to 100 WPM, and I usually finish my programs in about 10 minutes or less, that is, if I know what I'm doing and I have planned out the structure of my program. On a bad day, I get around 40 WPM to 59 WPM. I usually find myself hitting the backspace button repeatedly, and that really hinders the completion of my programs.I really don't think WPM have a large affect on my scripts or programs because if you know what you're doing, or you have planned out your code before typing, then I think you will finish faster than someone who have no organization. That's my opinion because there are plenty of people in the AP Computer Science class who type at about 15 WPM, but finish their programs (and gets a 100 on it) much faster than those who type at 100+ WPM. Notice from snlildude87: As for this topic, I've decided to move it to the General section because it really doesn't belong in PHP (mentioning the word "script" does not count).
