I saw part 3 in theaters yesterday. And despite all the trademark explosions that Bruckheimer is infamous for and some high adventure scenes, I'm afraid I have to give this a 2 1/2 stars. It's mindless entertainment but it's got no heart unlike Spider-Man 3. And I don't want to the party pooper in this, but I think it may not have a chance for threepeating the box office crown this year, not if Transfomers have to say about it.I'm not a fan of Jack Sparrow or the Pirates cast. The story is confusing as hell and the supporting characters and villains annoy me, especially that money! The effects were "wow" material but I doubt that would be the movie's saving grace. Turner and Swan's in-fight wedding is a little hokey, and Captain Barbarossa is a little rough on the edges. And I felt a little bit betrayed by Bruckheimer when he mostly abandoned his modern day guns-and-mayhem status quo for periodic family-friendly adventures and uplifting sports dramas. I hope I say the last of Sparrow and co. and if there is any pirate movie in the future, please let it be NOT made by Disney or based on some theme park ride that scared the crap out of me when I was a kid.To summarize, I'd like to forget the entire Pirates trilogy and move on to better, more seroius adventure flicks, Lord of the Rings or the R-rated Matrix trilogy for example. And for God's sake, no more idiot heroes like Sparrow ever again!RATING: **1/2

The King of Fighters fighting game franchise have gained worldwide status since its? introduction in 1994. And what attracts the KOF games that make them so beloved over the years? The three-on-three team gameplay? The intense boss battles? The variety of colorful and intriguing characters? The cutting-edge gaprhics?Or is it a fact the franchise has a fantastic cast of lovely female fighters. From the sweet Sailor Moon-schoolgirl antics of Athena, to the tomboy attitude of Yuri, the hand-nose soldier without a past in Leona, to the sentimental sex appeal (and large chest size) or Mai, these ladies have attracted gamers from all over the world to play and hone their fantastic fighting moves. They even inspire some artist to create fanart or use their influence to create original characters. These girls are awesome in every sense of the word.So the $1,000,000 question might be: Who?s your favorite KOF girl?Athena Asamiya ? Blue Mary ? B. Jenet ? Chizuru Kagura ? Elisabeth ? Fio ? Foxy ? Hinako Shijou ? Hotaru Futaba ? K' ? K9999 ? Kasumi Todoh ? King ? Kula Diamond ? Leona Heidern ? Lien Neville ? Li Xiangfei ? Luise Meyrink ? Mai Shiranui ? Maki Kagura ? Malin ? Mature ? May Lee ? Mignon Beart ? Momoko ? Nagase ? Nakoruru ? Shermie ? Vanessa ? Vice ? Whip ? Yuki Kushinada ? Yuri Sakazaki My two cents: My favorite KOF girl is none other than Athena Asamiya. I love her anime schoolgirl attitude, her lovely singing voice, her vast array of costumes and her beautiful fighting abilities and fantastic powers. I fell in love with her ever since KOF 97 and I never look back.My second and third choices are Yuri and Leona respectively. Yuri is a feisty and independent individual whose style I adore. And I have great respect for Leona and cared about her dark past.Again, who?s your favorite? Comments.

Namco X Capcom Japanese RPG import
Dangerman_1973 replied to Dangerman_1973's topic in Computer Gaming
Looks like I have to agree. I hope that Namco gets the message and hopefully in the future release a sequel to this and this time, they may have to import it to America. I'd studied all the playable characters in Namco X Capcom thanks to a gaming site, and the characters which interests me in playing the games are below in the following list: - Of course, Ryu from Street Fighter, - Ken from Street Fighter - Cammy from Street Fighter - Sakura from Street Fighter - The two protagonists from Resident Evil: Dead Aim - Hiromi Tengenji - from Burning Force (hot hoverbike chick!) - Toby Masuyo - from Baraduke (AKA Alien Sector) (I actually found out that this character is a SHE!) - Wonder Momo - from Wonder Momo (She's a klutzy schoolgirl-type and Wonder Woman-ripoff) - Valkyrie - from The Legend of Valkyrie - Morrigan from Darkstalkers - The cast of Project Justice - Captain Commando - Taizo Hori - from Dig Dug (yes. That's the name of the hero) - Felicia from Darkstalkers - Jin and King from Tekken - Mistiguru and Taki from Soul Caliber - Strider Hiryu - Megaman, Roll and Tronn Boone from Megaman Legends What cool characters I would have played, let Namco decided to release this here in the States. It would have been an awesome game to play. Here's more on this from this link: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ -
What is your favourite weapons in CS? Knife is included...lol
Dangerman_1973 replied to hansley's topic in Computer Gaming
My most favorite weapons in CS depends on the map or situation. But overall, the following guns are they ones I mostly used. I think they are my favorites. Here's my list:Pistol: Desert EagleSMG: FN P90Shotgun: XM1Rifle: M4A1 carbineSniper rifle: Toss between the SIG and the H&K G3Preferred grenades: flashbang and smokeSince the M249 is the only machine gun in it's category, I have to exclude it from my list. -
This summer may be the biggest box office move summer in recent memory, and the odds-on favorites to take the box office crown this year are Spider-Man 3 and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. Spidey just broke records internationally and has a new opening-day box office record. And he will same smooth sailing for the next two weeks before Shrek the Third. Jack Sparrow and his pirates plummeted Neo and suckerpunched Superman in their first two adventures, but now they may have met their match with the heavy competition in the form of Spidey, Shrek, Ocean's Thirteen and others. It will be a hard road of the pirates to three-peat their box office success. So here's the $1,000,000 question: who will be the box office champ of summer 2007? Spider-Man 3 or Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End?If you ask me, I don't think Jack has a chance!Your comments.

Order Of The Phoenix International Trailer
Dangerman_1973 replied to Albus Dumbledore's topic in General Discussion
Yeah. I can't wait to see the new Harry Potter adventure.I was first turned off by the first two Potter films (2001's The Sorcerer's Stone, 2002's The Chamber of Secrets), 2004's The Prisoner of Azkabhan is a little respectable, but the turning point is 2005's Goblet of Fire. Since the films now has a PG-13 rating (hopefully it will be the same of Order of the Phoenix), the films get darker and more interesting. The appearance of Ralph Finnes as the dark lord Veldemont is a refreshing addition to the series and will make this installment more challenging. It's great to see Gary Oldman back as Sirious Black, Potter's uncle. He's good as Black as he is as James Gordon in the new Batman film series. The three main actors who play the series' three leads, hopefully will mature and grow as their characters are. And I hope there will be more drama and suspense in this chapter.Overall, I can't wait to see Order of the Phoenix. -
Spider-man Trilogy Review By S & M
Dangerman_1973 replied to Saint_Michael's topic in General Discussion
I owned the first two in my home DVD collection. The first one in widescreen format, and the second in full-screen.Saw the movie (3) today. and it's not that bad as it seems. Is just as good as it's two predecessors. It's a little darker than the first two, but it has a heart-touching ending which I can't spoil this to you. You just have to see it. Overall, I like the great special effects in 3. And the character moments are great. And your suggestion of part 3 being the best sequel yet in the franchise, akin with LOTR: The Return of the King is a great compliment. I hope there's more of Spidey's movie adventures coming in the future.I hope that SM3 will be the biggest movie of the summer. I enjoyed it all the way and I can highly recommend this to friends. -
But a used copy of it at a local gaming cafe the day of its' closing. There are some glitches in the disk that I decided not to play it for awhile. My only complaint to the game is its' weapon sounds. they sound like synchronized firecrackers rather than real guns. It's extremely irritating. So far the weapons variety and the free-roaming maps are good. And I hope there will be no more glitches in the disk if I decided to play it again.

The toughest boss I have ever faced was none other than Shin Akuma from Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium, both the arcade and the Playstation 2 versions.I faced him a few times during my many encounters using my dream team of Athena, Terry, and Yuri. I also use Ryu as well. S. Akuma it seriously tough. Especially his super moves and DMs. My team was wiped out just as easily as a hot knife through butter.I manage to defeating with a few flying jump kicks. It took a while, but I managed to get the job done. There's also the main boss from King of Fighters: Maximum Impact for the Playstation 2. After many encounters, I finally beat him with Athena. His shockwave was extremely powerful and lethal. They are a little hard to dodge, but I managed.I think that's all.

My favorite car of all time was, is and will always be the Chevrolet Camaro. I was hooked on it since the early 80's. Now the Camaro is back in 2008 and I can't wait to see the retro-style concept.

Hi. I'm Dangerman_1973. And I am a foodservice worker from Everett, WA.I came here in the US from the Philippines in 1983. I was hoping to live the American dream someday. But I have to face so many trails and tribulations along to way.My interests are movies, TV shows, cartoons, anime, Internet surfing, comic books, action figures (especially the 12-inch variety) and political activism (I'm an anti-war advocate and I hate Bush). I also like pets especially dogs. My favorite foods are of the American variety: hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza. But I also like dishes from my native country and I love Japanese foods, specifically sushi and teriyaki beef or chicken. My former interests were maps, cars, military firearms, professional wrestling and rap music. I also used to like Disney stuff, but personal differences and boredom made me quit in favor of more mature anime-related stuff. My hates (or politically-correctly speaking, dislikes) are Republicans, threats to the environment, Winnie the Pooh, the Disney Channel, Dragonball Z, and US presidents who wage illegal wars on defenseless nations based on false pretenses. My favorite cartoon/anime characters are Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop, Sailor Moon, The Love Hina cast; Sam, Alex and Clover from Totally Spies, The KND from Codename: Kids Next Door, Kira Yamato from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED/Destiny; Peter, Stewie and Brian Griffin from Family Guy and, hopefully, Haruhi Suzumiya. My favorite games are Battlefield 2, Counter-Strike and the King of Fighters franchise (my favorite game character from the franchise is Athena Asamiya)I hope I will like it here in Xisto.com since they approve my application. I think I'm going to like it here.Thank you all so much. And I hope we get to know each other.

Best Movie Of All Time? what is the best movie of all time?
Dangerman_1973 replied to lil_chris's topic in General Discussion
Professionally, I had to say a toss-up between Titanic, The Godfather, Scarface (1983) and the original Star Wars trilogy)Personally, it's the James Bond franchise. -
I'm planning to see it at a local theater on opening weekend. I hope Spider-Man 3 lives up to the hype from last year. It will be interested to see Peter Parker (Tobey MacGuire) in a black Spidey-Suit exploring his dark side. And how will it effect his relationship with Mary Jane? Add three villains to the mix and some cool special effects, and you got the reasons I will be watching SM3 this weekend. Can't wait.

You know, I was worrying about purchasing a Playstation 3. I was hooked on the free online service and an Blue-Ray DVD player installed to it, and the game trailers leading up to the console's release are amazing. And the graphics engine is second to none. I had high hopes for the console as the release date nears... And then when it was released in Fall 2006, there was problems. It's price tag is a whopping $600 dollars, the launch date festivities were scary (someone got shot when waiting in line for a PS3) and so far the games did not live up to the hype. Genji Days of the Blade is a mediocre title according to G4's X-Play, Madden NFL is like the same game as it's XBox 360, more mediocre titles like Motorstorm raises my doubts more, and Mobile Suit Gundam Crossfire... UGH! I saw the game review and it's horrible. The light in the dark alley happens to be Resistance: Fall of Man from the creators of Ratchet and Clank.I hope my faith in buying the Playstation 3 lies in the hands of a soldier named Solid Snake and a warrior named Lightning. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Final Fantasy XIII respectively, will soon hit stores and by then I would some enough money to by the PS3 for them to arrive.I could hope that Sony can get out of this sticky wicket before things get worse and find some way to find high-quality games for the PS3 or else it will be turned into a lousy $600 paperweight.Good luck, Sony. You'll need it.

I look forward to this new real-time strategy game coming out soon called World in Conflict. It takes place in an alternate history when the Cold War did not end in 1989 as we thought, it got worse. As Russian military forces invades America, it's up to the US military to repel the invaders and end this war before it melts down to an inevitable fate.I heard it's going to be released this summer. I have high hopes it'll be a hit along the lines of the Command & Conquer franchise and Starcraft.

Have any of you heard of Namco X Capcom? It's a crossover action/strategy RPG in Japan a couple of years back featuring several Namco and Capcom game characters including Street Fighter, Tekken, Resident Evil, Xenosaga and others. Also, there are some little known game characters which barely made in to the US and ones we never heard before. The game's story involves several supernatural occurrences happening around the Earth in the near future and it's up to two Japanese government agents, one a weapons-wielding combat expert and the other a female sorcerer whose hairstyle looks eerily like the head of Pikachu, to investigate these occurrences and find out what's causing them. After an encounter with Shion and KOS-MOS from the Xenosaga series, and later some Street Fighter character, things are going way too weird and now the two agents joins forces with several Namco and Capcom heroes as they travel through different worlds, battling a rogue's gallery of villains, and finding out the mystery behind these unusual events that may be the precursor to a bigger threat to humanity as we know it.The game is a action/strategy game, where the player move characters in a strategy map-like battlefield. When a character encounters an enemy, the battle screen looks like something of a 2d side-scrolling fighting game a la Street Fighter. The usual RPG combat elements apply to the battle system.Overall, it's not a bad game from what I saw in the trailers and the Japanese website. Unfortunately, Namco, its' main publisher, refuses to localize it in North America because some of our hardcore gamers never heard of some of these characters (i.e. obscure Namco heroes like Bravoman and Wonder Momo) and there's some odd choices for Capcom characters as well: instead of Resident Evil icons like Jill Valentine, they've got the main protagonists from the mediocre shooter Resident Evil: Dead Aim.Anyway, I wish it would be localized here, but for the reasons above, it's not going to happen. It's a good concept with a great variety characters, an interested battle system, and possibly a respectable fun factor if I ever had the chance to play it. I hope future crossover RPGs (Kindgom Hearts franchise aside) would fellow this route and luckily make it here in the US.Your comments.

One of the best parts of playing Counter-Strike are the assault rifles in the game. I rather prefer them to submachine guns and shotguns because their rifle ammunition makes them perfect close-quarter weapons, especially in close encounters. They're especially unique since they are based in real-world assault weapons. The Source engine makes these guns look like if they were the real things. I also like the special features and options of the rifles (the M4A1's detachable silencer and the Bullpup and Krieg 552's 2X scope), which gives them tactical advantages over the opposing team.Which one these CS assault rifles you like the best?- Clarion 5.56 (FAMAS)- IDF Defender (Galil)- CV-47 (AK-47)- Krieg 552 (Sig-552)- Maverick M4A1 Carbine (Colt M4A1)- Bullpup (Steyr AUG)My favorite picks are the1. M4A12. The Clarion3. The Bullpup.

Battlefield 2 So what do you guys think about BF2
Dangerman_1973 replied to Guevara's topic in Computer Gaming
I played BF2 at a local computer gaming cafe last year and I tell you it's awesome! It's the best online game I've ever played since Counter-Strike.I've enjoyed playing all the sides (US, China, Middle East Coalition) and almost all the units (except for engineer) and I love riding the various vehicles in the maps. The last time I played it, I was somewhere between Major and Lieutenant and I had some upgrade weapons. I recently bought the Special Forces expansion pack. Unfortunately, I don't have a powerful computer to run Battlefield 2, so I'm currently saving money to buy a new one so I can play BF2.Overall, I loved it. I prefer BF2's realism and strategy over the other otherwise over-the-top online shooters relying on sci-fi weaponry and mayhem. Highly recommend for shooting fans who wanted a T-rated alternative to the many mature action games out thereTHE PROS:- Balanced units and weapons- Great vehicle control- Intense firefights- Highly detailed graphics- Multiplayer maps- Highly-detailed graphics- Strategic and team-based elementsTHE CONS:- Some server hiccups- Glitchy loading timesOVERALL - 4.5 out of 5 -
Uh. Can't wait for the new BF2142 expansion to come out. I'm looking forward to it.

Penny/Pulsar can transform into Betty as shouting Broadway Pulsar Twirl! while spinning. Penelope Phaser Penelope Phaser is Pulsar Purehearts space warrior alter ego. Unlike most of her alternate identities, Penelope retains Pulsars flight, super-speed, and teleportation powers. But she is not invulnerable like her other aliases. Penelope is the perfect form when it comes to space combat and travel. Her backpack enables her to fly in lightspeed. Her skin can survive the vacuum of space, but she still needs a helmet to help her breathe in space, unlike her Pulsar form, which she can breathe in space. She is armed is a plasma pistol, and optional tractor beam rifle for larger obstacles, and a light sword she carries in her right ankle scabbard. Her helmet contains a heads-up display with space navigation and communications. She also has a smart beam shield to protect her from projectile weapons, human or alien. Right now, I am currently working on an ongoing comic book project called Project: Anything Goes. It's a comic book/manga art/writing project that features several of my original characters inspired from various TV/movie/cartoon/anime/comic book/manga/video game characters and titles. It's very interesting to have Command & Conquer 3 out now. I heard they returned the full-motion video cutscenes with Michael Ironside and Billy Dee Williams and Joe Duncan reprising his role as Kane.I saw X-Play (on G4) reviewing the game (5 out of 5). I think it's a good review. Unfortunately for now, I don't have a powerful computer or an XBox 360 yet. But I have most of the previous Command & Conquer games from the first one. I'm a fan of the C&C franchise since I got hooked on the first Red Alert.I hope C&C 3 will be a smash hit. If I'm able to get a new computer or an XBox 360, I will try to make C&C 3 a first priority when I decided to look for new games.
