  1. Here are the latest trailers from World in Conflict courtesy of GameTrailers.com. First up is the single-player campaign mode. Where you play a US Soldier trying to fend off the Soviets invading America. You will have some partners and characters, including Commander Sawyer, tank driver Bannon, and fellow grunt Webb, to help your mission during the course of the campaign. It's a tongue-and-cheek trailer set to the theme of '80's detective show, Magnum P.I. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ The next trailer, featured at the 2007 Sierra Gamers Conference, features a cutscene where US forces make a counter-offensive on New York City as their helicopter convoy got ambushed by a Russian rocket-propelled grenade. This is one of the most intense cutscenes shown from the game, and since this is set in an alternative reality circa 1989, you can see the New York skyline with the World Trade Center still intact. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

  7. I'm a little bias on C&C Red Alert and Generals. It's a little hard on me because I prefer the modern military aspect rather than the futuristic sci-fi seeting of the original continuity.

  9. Maybe Superbad is not a bad move if I see it. It stars Arrested Development's Michael Cera is the main protagonist. I'm not found of R-Rated sex-oriented comedies though. I don't know if I am going to plan to see it.

  12. It looks not that bad. The layout is okay and the hi-tech setup is impressive. I don't see many animations or working links yet. I hope you put it in the near future.Overall, you site is not bad. I hope you new site takes off. I would like to get your site's free templates to improve my site in the near future. Keep up the good work.
  13. They had the trailer at E3 this past week. The plot involves the US Marines and the British SAS pitted against Russian ultranationalists and their Mideast terrorist allies. The mulitplayer perks like double taps and armor piercing bullets are interesting.I hope the COD franchise is going to be good as they claimed it is come October.
  14. I like Harry Potter?s latest movie adventure. Don?t expect too much fun and whimsy in this installment. This is a lot darker than the first four chapters. In the latest film, Harry is questioned by the Ministry of Magic for using his spells in the outside world without any knowledge. In reality, Harry had to use his magic to save a friend from an attack from the Dementors (from the third movie, The Prisoner of Azkaban). The Ministry also do not believe Harry warnings about his encounter with Lord Voldermont from The Goble of Fire. As a result, Harry is subject to gossip by critics and some of his classmates believing that his encounter is fiction. This lead to the Ministry to send in Delores Umbridge, a hard-nosed new teacher for the Defense against the Dark Arts, to maintain order in Hogwarts, resulting in some torturous disciplinary actions against disobedient students. In frustration, and concerned about Voldermont rebuilding his dark army, Harry starts a secret teaching class with his friends and eager students to prepare to fight Voldermont?s army. All events leading to the climatic battle in the Ministry?s London headquarters where a key character is going to meet his/her fate.I like this chapter before of the aforementioned dark tone. I miss the first two Potter films because I felt uncomfortable with its? lighthearted feel, but then I saw my first movie The Prisoner of Azkaban and everything turns in the right direction. The Order of the Phoenix continues this darker trend and I enjoyed every minute of it. I hope it keeps that feel when The Half-Blood Prince hits theaters in November of next year. This is highly recommended for anyone who don?t like or don?t watch the first two movies, hardcore Potter fans, and newcomers to the franchise. Hope there?s more ahead for our brave young wizard.
  15. Well, I never seen the movie yet. It's been rumored it has got great visuals and CG elements thanks to the guys at Square Enix. It will be nice to see the further adventures of Cloud Strike, Tifa and Vincent Valentine in this latest epic in the Final Fantasy XII universe.I hope I have the time to see it. When anybody think of computer animated movies the think funny stories, kid friendly tone, and everything Disney-Pixar. I totally disagree. I like CG movies when they are serious. And I hope Advent Children will change many minds about this.It could be the perfect alternative to those lighthearted Pixar and Dreamworks CGI films like Shrek and Ratatoiulle. We need more serious toned CGI films in the near future and I hope this will be the first step in the right direction.
  16. You know that mysterious trailer that is playing in front of Transformers, the one that bootleg versions shown in YouTube before Paramount pulled them out? The mysterious J.J. Abrams monster movie project that is under the tentative title of "Cloverfield" Well, here's the official link to the trailer. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ This one's worth the buzz. Comments. Notice from BuffaloHELP: Topic title modified. Please note the change. Topic title and description are very important to our forum.
  17. Dangerman's review of Transformers Transformers Directed by Michael Bay Released by Paramount Pictures/Dreamworks Pictures After sitting thourgh Spider-Man, Shrek and Pirates 3, I?m happy to say that Transformers is finally the real summer movie to see. I was a fan of the toys and the cartoon from the 1980?s and I was not disappointed in the new movie. It?s better than the other summer movies I?ve seen so far, and it?s also better than the 1986 animated movie. I never thought I?d see the day that Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg, two rival movie directors nine years ago, would join forces for this. The story goes as the Autobots and Decepticons race towards Earth to fine an alien cube called the ?Allspark?, which gives mechanical objects life and the purpose of doing evil. The Autobots wants to destroy it before Megatron and his minions use it to conquer the universe. The key to finding the Allspark lies with an ordinary teenager, Sam Witwicky (Shia LeBouf), whose great grandfather?s possessions hold clues to the cube?s whereabouts. The action scenes are spectacular from the get-go. The opening scenes in which two Decepticon operatives infiltrated and destroys a US military base in Qatar in the Middle East is intense and pulse-pounding. The car chases is fast and furious, and the final battle in Los Angeles, which includes Optimus Prime and Megatron going at it through skyscrapers and city streets, rivals most of the climatic scenes in the last few movies of this summer. This movie is more lighthearted than the earlier summer releases and the animated movie; the comic scenes are a nice touch, and some of the supporting players added more laughs. The voice casting of Peter Cullen, reprising his animated series role as Optimus Prime is remarkable and feels right. I love when Optimus repeats his lines from the movie ?One shall stand, the other will stand? and his motto for his toy counterpart ?Freedom is the right of all sufficient beings?. Hugo Weaving (aka Agent Smith from the Matrix trilogy) is hardly recognizable as the voice of Megatron. Which is a letdown, considering that I?m a fan of Weaving, and I wish Frank Welker reprising his role as Megatron for this. The special effects were awesome. Kudos to the wizards of ILM brings the robots to life. The Autobots? vehicle forms are also one to be amazed at. Bumblebee sacrificed his cartoon VW Bug form for one of my most favorite cars, the Chevrolet Camaro, is a smart move on his part. Frenzy, the Decepticon spy, is sort of like the villainous comic henchman type but as cool weaponry like his launched blades of death. In conclusion, Transformers is a great movie, a perfect distraction from the semi-serious offering so far this summer. I hope it makes box office records and hope it still holds off against the new Harry Potter adventure. Highly recommended. 8.5/10
  18. I am a fan of the Looney Tunes franchise since I was a kid. They are so popular that they spawn two half-live action movies, Space Jam (1996) and Looney Tunes: Back in Action (2003).Space Jam is a wacko kid-friendly film that stars now-retired NBA superstar Michael Jordan. It was a awkward movie experience for me when I first saw it in theaters. The lovey-dove R&B songs mixed in with the Looney Tunes material are way too inappropriate, and I can?t stand Bugs & Co. play basketball. It was lame as horsecrap. And I don?t get that the fact they introduce a ?new? Looney Tune named Lola Bunny, who is only good with a ball rather than her other attributes. And why is Bugs falling in love with her? He?s not the leading man-type as evident in his shorts. Aside from the Bill Murray cameo and the Pulp Fiction parody, this film is a bad movie trip and an embarrassment to the Looney Tunes legend.Looney Tunes: Back in Action in the other hand is a movie that does the franchise justice, although it unfortunately bombed at the box office. It fleshed out Bugs and Daffy as part of the main characters in a zany search of the mysterious Blue Diamond. I especially like the way the film treats Daffy Duck in a respectable light; returning his Bruce Clampett energy and make you sympathize with him through his trails. And with a great cast in Brendan Fraser, Jenna Elfman, former Bond and Hot Fuzz supporting star Timothy Dalton and ex-SNL great Steve Martin as the evil head of the ACME corporation, and excellent direction from Joe Dante, you have a winner. Unfortunately, bad advertising and marketing along with releasing the flick one week after The Matrix: Revolutions killed the film. I suggest either buying it or renting it on DVD.NOTE: Back in action was the final feature film for famed composer Jerry Goldsmith before his untimely passing. So, which of the two are your favorite Looney Tunes movies? Space Jam or Looney Tunes: Back in Action? Your comments.
  19. I'm just a wacko, but I like the new Fantastic Four better than the irritating Pirates 3. I just like a PG-rated superhero flick in a long time.
  20. FINALLY! A Call of Duty game that is NOT set in World War II! I often criticized the Call of Duty franchise because of its' tired setting in the 1940's. I am sick and tired of fragging Nazis, even though I did not play the game actually. I like the new Call of Duty 4 because it's set in the present day area and thankfully not set in the Iraq War.I like the fictionalized storyline and I hope the weapons customizations are cool. There are over 30 weapons in the game according to an interview in GameTrailers.com. I hope it includes the M16A4 and the G36 series. And the vehicles are destructible if they're correct. I like the gameplay trailers so far. It's got the intensity of an average Call of Duty game but with a modern setting.I can't wait for the new game to arrive. Let's hope we have more information at this coming E3 convention. I hope they don't turn back the clock to WWII in future sequels, or I rather wish for a Vietnam War setting.
  21. I think it's a little bias, since there is no mention of the Playstation 3. Of course the PS3 didn't have any good games yet, save for Resistance: Fall of Man, but there is great potential with Metal Solid 4, FFXIII and others in the near future. To answer your question, I didn't own either console yet, and it's a toughie. On one had, The 360 has great games like Games of War and Crackdown, and XBOX Live is a great online service, and Halo 3 is coming soon is great potential. On the other hand, the Wii has an innovative control scheme in the form of its' interactive "Wii-mote" and Nunchuck attachment, and with gems like The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, the Wii Virtual Console and the upcoming Mario Galaxy and Metriod Prime 3: Corruption, the Wii is a great buy for family-type games.I think the advantage goes to the 360, however. I'm not interested in cutsie-wootsie-type games like Mario. If you're looking to hardcore gaming, awesome graphics, and a good variety of games for the teen crowd, the 360 is for you. As mentioned before, if you are looking for more of a family-type gaming experience, try the Wii.My choice: The 360, Although I still have faith that good Playstation 3 games will come out soon. Metal Gear Solid 4, anyone?
  22. Oh, Is this the review of the original Fantastic Four movie? I just watched and liked the new sequel. It's better than the first one.But I like both films. I like the fact that another Marvel superheroine, besides Storm of the X-Men series, to grace the big screen in the form of the beautiful Jessica Alba. And Michael Chaklis' rendition of The Thing is not half as bad. And I like the chemistry between all of the characters. I'd rather prefer a lighthearted approach to superhero movies after the angst of Spider-Man and the grim violence of the Blade series and The Punisher.I think rival DC Comics should dive to their roster of characters live Marvel did rather than to stick to their "safe than sorry" two franchises, Batman and Superman. This way maybe they can compete with Marvel in the big screen in a good way.To get back in the subject Fantastic Four and its' sequel is not half as bad as the critics might say. The Rise of the Silver Surfer is a great companion film to this past May's Spider-Man 3. It's also a great antidote to some irritating and annoying fare like Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End and disappoints like Shrek 3. highly recommend for Marvel, superhero movie, and comic book fans alike.NOTE: Look for Stan Lee's cameo in the first half of the movie. (I'm not spoiling which scene he's in so check for yourself.)
  23. Well, I just check the Box Office Mojo website, and so far, Spidey dominates the summer box office and Jack Sparrow ran out of musket balls to challenge our friendly neighborhood web-crawler here. Accoring to the site, Spider-Man 3 keep its' opening day record and led the pack a total domestic gross of $325,585,149 so far. Pirates 3 is still far behind with a total domestic gross of $253,441,723 as of writing. And Spidey leads the worldwide grosses as well while Pirates did not come close at all.And with Spidey's Marvel comrades, the Fantastic Four, coming this Friday, and with Evan Almighty, Live Free and Die Hard, and Transformers on the horizon, it's obvious that the box office champ so far is Spidey. For anyone who have high hopes for Pirates 3, pray for a miracle because there's no way Jack and his crew would bounce back from obscurity. So it's official, Spidey beats Jack as the King of the summer box office...That is... Until a certain resident from the planet Cybertron enters the brawl on July 3rd.

  25. I am currently working on my ongoing comic book and manga project called Project: Anything Goes. It showcases original characters, which are insipid and influenced from characters from several comic book, TV, anime, movie, video game and cartoon franchises. I made this project in hopes of attracting other artists and writers to help me with the characters and try to promote them and proposed titles so I can try to get into the comic book business. Most of my characters featured include manga-style superheroines in western-style costumes. Including popular characters (favorites from my page at DeviantART.com) including Pulsar Pureheart, a female character with Superman-like powers and the ability to transform into alternate forms (she is partly inspired by anime heroine Cutie Honey and Ben 10) and Twilight Warriors, a covert team investigating and preventing supernatural occurrences around the world. Twilight Warriors has combined elements from Final Fantasy and other fantasy and horror titles. My first title in the project is Harry Hare: Best in the Biz, a kind of Who Framed Roger Rabbit meets Sailor Moon meets Cowboy Bebop about a former cartoon star running a private investigations/bodyguard agency. Some of his clients include well-famous cartoon stars, but due to legal restrictions, I have to go with original characters. His partners are his duck acting partner, a magical girl stuntwoman, and a former Interpol agent with a dark past. Hopefully I will try to make this my first public title if my project goes through. Another of my titles is Hong Kong Hyper Police. Its Dragonball Z meets CSI with elements from Hong Kong action cinema made famous by Jackie Chan, Jet Li, and Chow Yun-Fat. Its a story of an elite Hong Kong Police unit that deals with crimes committed by a evolved superhuman race called Zeta-Supers. Its got martial arts action mixed with character humor and drama. I hope to make this my title as well. There are several pages in the site; most of them are going through heavy construction, hence the different layouts, featuring titles with synopsis and related main and supported characters, each with their bios and related artwork. There is a link to two of my online stores and there is also a character menu with some quick and direct access to the character pages themselves. I hope you enjoy my site and hope to get some great feedback. As mentioned before, the site is under heavy reconstruction, so the title pages have different layouts. I have a friend in DeviantART.com working on the redesign of the pages. So be patient and check the updates section for the latest news. Here is the link: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
