Well the other night on the news (Yes mermaid watches the news) there was a story about a lady. In texas, we have a law called the baby moses law and what it alows you to do is leave an unwanted baby at a firestation or hospital. Sounds criminal doesn't it? Well in Texas it's not! Anyways, this lady just walks into the firestation and literaly hands the baby to the fire chief and just walks off. No questions asked. No tickets. No charges. Nothing. Nothing but an abandoned baby. Well I have two opinions on this story: 1. I guess it is better that the baby is being dropped of at a firestation or hospital where somebody will care for it, instead of it being left in a dumpster to die. 2. It is just making it not as hard on girls who go out and have sex and get pregnant. I am glad that now there will be not as many babies left in texas dumpsters. However, I am not happy (Since I live in the county in Texas with the highest teen pregnancy rate) that these girls who go out and act like tramps go unpunished. I am affraid to see the teen pregnancy rate go up. And this law does nothing to stop it. And honestly, this law makes it okay to abandon a baby. What happened to the mentality of "A baby isnt a mistake, it is a happy supprise"? What happened to the days of people being able to control their urges? Why can't girls realize how stupid that the choises are that they are making? What is this world coming to? It is... OKAY?!?!?! to leave a helpless child in a public facility? But I want to know what YOU think. Does your state have a Baby Moses Law?

I just hate how it is okay for some bum to live off of MY FREAKING SALARY. Now, I am not but 13, but I do work, for my dad for some cash during the summer, and no, it is not in violation of child labor laws. He owns a legit bussiness and therfore must pay taxes. How ever, I got a rude awakening when i worked a large amount of hours and only got payed for a few of them. I was like "Dad, what the heck? I worked X ammount of hours and i only got payed for N ammount of hours. What the crap?" And he was like "Taxes honey." And I was thinking to myself, "GOSH DANGIT SCREW THE IRS!" Why should some fat *bottom* live off of my salary?Oh and one more thing- have you noticed how the democrats are starting to take controll over the government? And have you noticed they planned to REMOVE THE TAX CUTS?!?! And when you ask a democrat how to solve something have you noticed they always say, "start a program"? THAT IS YOUR TAX MONEY THET THEY ARE WASTING! I HATE how I have to work for $6.50 an hour, but little billy over there gets to sit on his fat *bottom* allday watching television. I hate, how I must deal with whiney customers all day, while little jamie gets to play on the internet all day. I hate how 8.25% of my paycheck is paying for little bobby's DSL, while when i move out, I will probably only be able to afford dial up, and that is if they still have it then.Oh Em Gee the Government is screwed up!

Well, I suggest you get some confidence before talking to him. I mean, how embarrassing would it be if you are wobbely need and stuttery when you are trying to talk to him? practice in the mirror first.But here is my personal advice from experiences of mine: Don't change yourself just to get with him. Because the thing about guys is that if they see that you will change yourself he will use you for other things. And I would be carefull around him before you tell him how you feel. Make sure he doesn't have a girlfriend first. But don't go up to him and ask "Hey do you have a girlfriend?" it will freak him out.I wish you the best of luck. And if this relationship does not work out how you want it to, keep in mind there are millions of other fish in the sea, and never give up, because there is somebody out there for everyone.But the other thing is, you are a minor and he is a legal adult. This could be the source for a scandal (or it would be in my town anyways :XD:) so just promise me you will be carefull and never give up okay?

Hehehe... I know somebody who used to date the guy back when she was in the eight grade... She lives across the street from me... but thats a who nother story :XD:But I am not really intrested in watching this movie... it seems kind of stupid if you ask me. Well I am white, but one of my bestest friends is black. I see no need for racist comments, slurs, or even jokes.But what bothers me is when people refer to themselfs as a racist term. I.E Mermaid is polish, so she will refer to herself and her polish homies as a pollock, or an african american may refer to him/her as the "N" word. It sickens me, that Martin Luther King Jr. Got shot trying to free his people from this, and yet some of them revert to it.But i think racism is in NO WAY needed.

Okay, so the other day we got a letter in the mail. Both of my parents are teachers and as we all know a teachers salary bites al ready, but it said that there is going to be something like a 20% tax takin out of it, and not just for teachers, anybody who doesn't work year round. Well I think it is wrong that the IRS can steal from someone who is working their *bottom* off to get money. Sure socialism seems nice, when you have a huge paycheck, like government officials do, but when you live in middle class america it isn't fair that we have to pay for people who are too lazy to work. Sure if you are disabled and unable to work I can understand that because you can't get money, so i will gladly give a few dollars to help those who are less fortunate and cannot do the things i can. I will also be more than happy to give up some money so i have a "safety net" to fall back on in case i get laid off. But what maddens me is that it is okay for people to not get jobs and sit on their lazy asses all day, living off of MY salary and do nothing to try and get off government help. It makes me angry that people choose to abuse the things we work so hard for. I think that there should be a time limit on how long somebody can live in government housing (with the exceotion of the dissabled.) I think that we should take free lunches out of schools (well not completly because some kids are the children of the dissabled.) And hand everybody who can't prove they have a reason to be sapping MY money a job section out of the newspaper and tell them too go find a job and not everything in life going to come to you easily.

Wow you're suprised by this? This kind of thing happens all the time in Texas. I have a friend who is really close, and her family is very poor so sometimes she must stay home to take care of her sister, while her parents work... The crack thing? makes me sick. The sleeping in the same bed with an eleven year old? That's just flat out wrong. What is wron with these people? have they no sence? You're a teacher? well so are my parents, but my dad is fed up with it so he's starting his own business. But by crack [[see my first reply ^^^^^]] do you mean he drug? You should report that immedieatly! And by law, aren't teachers required to tell if someone is being abused? But anyways, you are right. You don't have much time to impact a childs life. Amen.

Actually no. I have auditioned for a movie before, and things are different from what they used to be. They film you in front of a back drop, and then send it off to the studio/casting director. But the only thing about that movie was that it got canceled because the director went bankrupt but that's another story Of course I'm right just kidding. Of course, those arent the only people i know. As i stated in the shoutbox earlier, I know the lady who played the grandmother in John Hughes's film 16 Candles and Helen Grifiths (an asistant casting director who was on a soap opera once, and now a kick A$$ acting coach ) And I have connections to Linda Mcallister Talent. But the sad thing is that my dad SAYS we can't afford formal training, so i guess that option is out Hehe my resume isn't too shaby. Hey tiki, do you think doing the weather for a channel up in Dallas will count as experience??? Yes i know how much professional headshots will cost. They are crazy expensive, but nevertheless necassery. And the wait is crazy long, many will get over looked. Hehe i took up dance once, it wasn't the best idea. but i do yoga it is fun! And i play three insturments: The ALto saxophone (even though i can play all of the saxes, but my sopranno skills arent very impressive ) The piano, and the electric gutair. To late.
