Yeah - where I'd run into trouble earlier on was that i needed opaque to write some server-side ajax for it so that you could view ONLY YOUR OWN CREDITS. However, now that the everyone's credits are openly visible through the Process page interface, I should modify the extension to take only your username and provide you with the credit details. I'm not much of a site reviewer - but I can alert you to a couple of issues that might get your site a really bad reputation. A lot of people are using the SiteAdvisor extension from McAfee. SiteAdvisor sits in your browser status bar and warns you about any sites with malicious content and/or links to such sites. When I visited your site, SiteAdvisor immediately turned RED. Upon investigaing the cause, I found that the primary cause is that your site links to a dangerous site called top66.ro. It also links to a couple of other blacklisted sites like extremetracking.com & pspdownloads.ws. You should get rid of such links ASAP - if you want your site to show up GREEN & clean on SiteAdvisor. A RED flag will instantly scare away loads of traffic.

Yup - I know what you mean. I'm trying to figure out if the Advanced Search functions can somehow me incorporated into this. As of now, I know how to limit the number of returned results and number of results per page - but that won't serve the purpose as such. The main problem lies with the fact that you can enter ONLY keywords in the search box and cannot specify any other parameters...if only there was a mechanism for doing that !!

If you decide to use MySQL or SQLite with VB.NET/C# and run into any problems - drop me a line anytime. Those fall in my area of expertise. Though i don't dabble in VB.NET much anymore ( I completely shifted to C# a couple of years back ) it shouldn't be difficult guiding you...

None of them involve command lines so you should be fine with both. AFAIK, XOSL will have to be installed in a dedicated partition or but GAG can be put somewhere close to the boot record - the option is given to you during installation.

For those who don't know, we've a set of search plug-ins that can be installed in the Quick Search box in Firefox to quickly search the forums with specific keywords, without visiting the forum search page at all. The plug-ins can be installed from: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Included in the new version is Autodiscovery mode, which allows your browser to automatically discover the plugin once you visit the plug-ins page. The plug-in is auto-listed in the drop-down menu in the quick-search box and gets installed rightaway when you click on it. Something that might make an interesting read --> A tutorial I wrote on designing such plugins. Any problems with the plugins, do let me know...

You can use one of the Free Boot Managers like XOSL or GAG. Both are pretty lightweight (approx. 500KB) and provide you with GUIs during booting. Adding new partitions/drives to boot from is very easy in both. I've used XOSL myself... so I can highly recommend it. But going through the features list of GAG, I can say it's no less.

If you're using WordPress 2.x (with widgets enabled)... I've developed a sidebar widget plugin for you called GARR (Google AdSense Referral Rotator). After installation it turns up as a sidebar widget, which you can drag & drop onto any sidebar in Wordpress and it'll keep showing 1 of the 4 available AdSense Referrals randomly upon every page-load. Hey guys, I'd been indenting to set-up a proper personal site for a long while, but got around to doing so only last month. My site, Chaos Laboratory is primarily oriented as a technology blog (with software reviews, articles, tutorials, free goodies from the net etc.) I am not much concerned about the layout & graphics - as long as it's clearly readable....for my site's not there for sporting fancy graphics, but some serious content. I don't know much about SMF - but does the version you're using offer Captcha Image Verification while signing up?? If it's got the feature turn it on and if it doesn't look around for a mod that'll do it for you. Image Verification will definitely cut down on Spambots being able to auto-register themselves and spam on the forums... It Works

You can definitely use the Microsoft.VisualBasic.Collection class as faulty.lee showed you - but a more elegant approach would be to create a separate class (inherited from CollectionBase) to hold your items and then use this class inside your Responses class. For example - say I create a class called ResponsesCollection: Imports System.CollectionsPublic Class ResponsesCollection Inherits CollectionBaseEnd Class CollectionBase provides you with an inbuilt searchable & sortable collection called List which can be accessed by both keys and index number. Any class inheriting CollectionBase gains these properties... The members methods which can operate on the List are Add, AddRange, Remove, RemoveAt, Clear, IndexOf, Item, Contains etc. Once you inherit a class from CollectionBase, you don't need to declare the List separately... you can directly access it as List. A simple implementation of the members would be...
