Dear members, I'm proud and happy - all under the same breath - to present you with a brand new Search Plugin for Mozilla FireFox browsers. It was created to make your searches on Xisto a mere breeze. It installs itself in the same space as your Google Search Bar in Firefox - and does direct search of the Xisto Forums. This eliminates the need to load the Search page completely, unless you want to use any of the Advanced Search features. Installation All you need to do is visit our Plugins & Extensions page at: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ and select your desired search plugin. Be sure to read the instructions there. When you click on the appropriate plugin name, it gets automatically installed in Firefox. Next, when you click on the dropdown list of available search plugins, you'll clearly see the Xisto Icon. Here is a Screenshot of Firefox Search bar after you've installed the plugin. Usage Simply select the Xisto Search option from the dropdown list, type in your query and press enter. The appropriate results will immediately get listed in your browser. Update The plugin is set to auto-update itself, and checks for updates automatically everyday. In case we announce an update, it'll automatically update itself from the same location the very same day. Enjoy Regards, m^e P.S.: Don't hesitate to contact me in case of any technical queries/problems in installing the plugin.

I use FlashGot and I'd HIGHLY RECOMMEND it - it solves a Big Problem that happens with almost every download manager. However good a download manager it, quite often it'll fail to catch a URL redirect - resulting in normal browser based downloads... I've tried out flashget, getright, download accelerator - you name it you got it.. but all of them fail at some point or the other. FlashGot completely solves this problem, by intoducing a FlashGot option into the Save As dialog box that pops up when you click on such links. So all you need to do, is instead of doing a normal save, simply click on the FlashGot radio button and it'll smoothly redirect the download to your favourite download manager. Cool as hell Now finally, I can catch each and every link in my downmanager. Here' a screenshot: http://echo.cx/banque-en-ligne/ Go for FlashGot - I say Regards, m^e

Hi guys, ????[/tab]The desperate hunt for alternative energy sources has been on ever since our geolists figured out how grim a situation we're headng for once we exhaust our supply of fossil fuel (which is estimated to be soon - and we'll see the first signs of it within the next 25 years). Amid this grim scenario, this little innovation might provide us with the much sought after ray of hope - an inexhaustible source of energy which is so efficient that it can produce upto 1000 times the energy contained in fuel. ????Jean-Louis Naudin - an independent researcher from France has successfully replicated a device originally proposed to produce free energy from hydrogen about 70 years ago. A working model of this device was recently pioneered in Russia by Nicholas Moller in conjunction with Alexander V. Frolov of Faraday Lab Ltd. at St. Petersburg, Russia in January 2003. It's commonly termed as the "Moller/Frolov Atomic Hydrogen Generator" or MAGH. The idea of this device first arose out of Nobel Laureatte Irving Langmuir's brilliant research on gases at high energy. ????The underlying concept involves dissociating molecular hydrogen (H2) into its atomic form (H) and re-combining the atoms back to their molecular form again. The energy given up during the dissociation process can be easily tapped. This whole process is run in a so-called "closed system" which means - the hydrogen is never lost, ie. we DONT BURN UP the fuel at all. The same fuel can be used over and over again - unlimited number of times. Free energy is always gained, but hydrogen never lost out on. Besides, hydrogen fuel is considered to be absolutely clean and safe and doesnt have any impact on the environment whatsoever. [tab]This technology is still in the nascent stage - although from what has been done so far, the commercial implications are humongous - as well as it's impact in our daily lives. It'll radically change the energy market and more than satisfy our "hunger" Imagine a world where everything is powered by these small generators running on an endless supply of fuel - no gas bills, no electric bills - nothing to tear your hair over I'm waiting ... breathlessly. miCRoSCoPiC^eaRthLinG replied to jedipi's topic in Search Engines
Heh..yo Jedipi.. Stale new man It's already been reported at: http://forums.xisto.com/topic/84066-topic/?findpost=1064304648 Closing this thread .. carry on any further discussions on the older one. -
Heh.. Right said technocian - while we do not discourage raves and rants about some technical problem on our forum, we do encourage you to publish a full report that led to this problem - so that we can simulate similar conditions and get to the root of the problem. Also recommended - that you dedicate a paragraph of two written in complete sentences about how you reached the conclusion and/or solution. Posts that are framed as the one you did are mostly find their way into the Junk folder as they do not contribute anything meaningful in the slightest.

Anyone Know Of Any Good Image Editing Software? for windows.
miCRoSCoPiC^eaRthLinG replied to tashie's topic in Software
Nope GIMP is NOT for Macs. Originally GIMP was designed as an opensource alternative on Linux based platforms - and now it has been ported to Windows too. So it's got binaries that run on either. As for the Mac version - I don't think they have one, but at the rate they're going they might come out with one very soon :lol:Opensource RULEZ !! -

phpMyAdmin: Cannot Load MySQL Extension Error Need help
miCRoSCoPiC^eaRthLinG replied to rkage's topic in Programming
This error arises out of the following reason: I found a solution for you: Check out this thread: https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/61393-help-in-dom-colapse/ And if you succeed fixing it following the steps in that thread - please let us know here.. Regards, m^e -
It's quite easy to do it with mambo - all you need to do is learn how to create menu's and submenu's from the mambo admin panel - and how to link the menu's to various modules.

You might also check out some first hand information about this particularly nasty spyware: 1. Aurora.Com 2. Aurora Process Information 3. Also check this thread about this same spyware on Aluria Spyware Eliminator forums: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ According to these pages, the .exe file is usually named nail.exe and lurks around your Windows directory. Shutter Fun Shutter tricks ?
miCRoSCoPiC^eaRthLinG replied to make believe's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Since we're all talking about long exposures here, why don't we exchange all the cool long exposure tricks we all know. Try that 3 second exposure thing while keeping your hand steady (better yet on a tripod) - focussing on a flowing water body, like a stream or a waterfall. Next reduce the timing to about 1 second and then again to around 1/2 second. It's fun watching flowing water at these different rates - every picture comes out different... experiment with progressively higher shutter speeds. -
What do you mean by handmade databases? These web-interfaces anyways use the same "hand-made" commands behind the screens to manipulate those "hand-made" databases. The interface itself makes it easier for you to manipulate by providing you with icons for various common tasks and thus eliminates the need to type out the "hand-made" commands yourself The so-called "hand-made" databases won't ever go out of existence - coz every piece of software that you see around is completely coded with those "hand-made" commands using "hand-made" languages So whatever inteface you might be using (which is also hand-made), the underlying instructions will always be in the "hand-made" syntax. That - my Frand is the Hand of God (sic.) P.S. Sorry about the pathetic jokes.. I just woke up feeling my IQ has taken a dip by -400.

Turiddu, To get free web-hosting here, you'll have to proceed in the same manner as all our members do - i.e., you'll have to start posting on our board adhering to the posting standards we've set. I'm afraid, unless you can gather enough hosting credits through your posts - we cannot allot you a free hosting account. On the other hand - if you need hosting urgently, you might consider our extremely cheap paid hosting which starts at $10 per year. You can avail this service at https://xisto.com/ For more information on how to acquire hosting credits and other related information, see our FAQs. Regards, m^e
