  1. Hey all, Have any of you listened to the Buddha Bar VII Compilation by Ravin & David Visan ?? I always liked the Buddha Bar CDs - but with this release, they've totally excelled themselves. What a melodious blend of intensely soulful & mellow tracks - and mixed really smooth. The music is really diverse, ranging from Brazilian to Vietnamese. I just happened to grab it off the SoulSeek network and I'm totally smitten by it. Incidentally, it consists of 2 CDs - titled, Sarod and Sarangi - named after two famous stringed instruments from India. This compilation has to be one of the very best in the Ambient genre of music, in recent times. Don't miss out on this one.. It's such a mood lifter & really unpredictable in the way it takes shape. The Sarod disc is ideal music to listen to on a lazy Sunday morning. Here's a list of the tracks: ================= Disc 1 "Sarod": 1. Bliss - Breathe 2. My Phuong Nguyen & Thierry David - Huong Vietnam 3. Riccardo Eberspacher - Light Signs 4. Al-Pha X - An Indian Summer 5. Afterlife feat. Danni Minogue - Take Me Inside (Christophe Goze Mix) 6. 3. As we say here in Thailand - "Mai Pen Rai" - or in other words, never mind/no problem I'm email you a chainsaw and a motorized sledge-hammer. That ought to help you get started fair and square As I'm writing this post, I've already clicked on the Send button. They should be land up in your mailbox any moment - all nicely Zipped in Self-extracting format. Careful while unzipping - lest you start-off the motor by double-clicking too hard
  4. Ptshhhhhh.. here's your solution: ====================== Buy a sledge-hammer and a chain-saw Throw ur system hard on the ground Hack it to pieces with the chain-saw Use the sledge hammer on the smaller pieces and reduce them to atomic level. Whatever remaining particles you have try stomping them to death If some component is too hard for your sledgehammer, try nuking it. Make sure all the steps from 1-6 are nicely recorded on videotape. Burn it on a CD and start selling it on eBaY as India's Craziest Home Videos - you'll be rich enough in no time to buy a console. Whatever excess amount you make, issue a draft in the name of miCRoSCoPiC^eaRthLinG and mail it. Sounds like a plan, eh ?
  5. I think that error was caused owing to MySQL overload. I received a bunch of emails from the server monitoring script informing me of a prolonged MySQL outage today. I'd advise you to try once again and let me know. Although this isn't a regular issue - you'll face it from time to time (at least once in two weeks) as our free servers are always under tremendous load. Another issue you have to keep in mind is that, any MySQL Db you create here, will be prefixed with your cPanel login username. Thus, if your cPanel login is: mylogin - and you create a DB named, mydb - that actual name of your database will be, mylogin_mydb. You've to include THIS name when you're using the mysql_select_db() function. The same goes for your MySQL DB Username too - even that is prefixed by your cPanel login.
  6. You cannot simply create a hosting account for yourself. It has to be approved by us. For that you need to file a Hosting Account Request Application, which involves: 1. Filling up the Xisto Free Web Hosting Request Form and, 2. Making a post in the New Account Requests section using the data generated by the form. After that you've to wait for your application to be reviewed.
  7. Dude - something seriously wrong with your system. It plays at 800x600 on my system without a hitch. I use my onboard SoundMax card (since my SBLive Platinum popped) and a pretty cheap & old GeForce Video card. My game works absolutely smooth - and the graphics I get is really crisp. Not a single problem with mouse.. But yeah - as you said, that surgeon's got real bad AI - but that's about it. As you progress further - all other guards and cops can follow your movements real well. Starting 2 levels down you gotta be ULTRA-SNEAKY to make your way anywhere.BTW - my CPU is P4 3Ghz and I got 1.5Gigs RAM. That might make a difference.
  8. What exactly do you mean by account settings ? If you're talking about that whole bunch of messages you get while your account is being processed - you don't really need them. They're totally unimportant - and basically are the direct console outputs of various commands executed during account creation. None of those messages contain any important information that you might need later on.
  9. Cool Combine Szupie's JScript code with that - and the URL won't show up in the statusbar either. That way you're completely cloaked.
  10. These were meant only as starting guidelines. Szupie's provided you with a solution too. But following up on my last post, I used the code sample given in the First Link I posted and successfully cloaked my URL. Sometime, all you need to do is to study a given code and do some minor changes here and there and VOILA - you have your solution. For an example, check out this site: http://www.hugedomains.com/domain_profile.cfm?d=antilost&e=com Study the code and see how I've used the Xisto main page address in the frameset - and that's what it loads. But your browser address-bar still shows a page address at Antilost. <html> <head> <title></title> <meta name="mssmarttagspreventparsing" content="true"> <meta name="robots" content="noindex"> </head> <frameset border=0 rows="100%,*" frameborder="no" margintop=0 marginleft=0 marginright=0 marginbottom=0> <frame SRC="http://forums.xisto.com/; scrolling=auto frameborder="no" border=0 noresize> <frame topmargin="0" marginwidth=0 scrolling=no marginheight=0 frameborder="no" border=0 noresize> <body> </body> </frameset> </html>
  11. Bot for RENT! Bot for RENT! Going real cheap guys. Bidding starts at $10,000/day Any takers ?
  12. Check out these two sites: Cloaking & Making Hidden Redirect Pages Three Easy Ways To Cloak Affiliate URLs They discuss URL cloaking (sample code included) - and might set you off in the right direction.
  13. Continue it here man - that way the whole saga stays together It's getting to be a real fun reading. Good job man - carry on.
  14. I'll show you how to EDIT Which part of yourself do you want to be edited ?? Let me assure you - you won't feel a thing. I'm quite a pro at it
  15. Ooooh - I just bought this game for $5 off the Bangkok Roadside. I so absolutely love it. Anybody who likes the STEALTH genre of games will totally like this one.The psychic powers no doubt adds a totally different dimension to the game - but what I like best about it is how it keeps alternating between FLASHBACK levels where you were just a normal human being and used firearms in your missions.. and next moment you are back to present, where you're devoid the firearms but are equipped with AWESOME psychic powers. In a way it really tries out your patience and sneaking skills - almost as if it was happening in real life.Yeah - it gets kinda boring in some places, as you can save the game only at prefixed CheckPoints. Sometimes these checkpoints are at pretty long intervals and you die hundreds of times over before you can cross over. But nevertheless AWESOME GAME :oI'll try and post some screenshots too. Regards,m^e
  16. ** m^e takes out his serrated sword and takes-off after jlhaslip - REVENGE!! SWEET REVENGE !!! I SMELL BLOOD !!
  17. Nope. Running background processes isn't part of the plan. As it is the free servers are always overloaded. If Bots or BNCs are run on top of that, it'll deal a total death knell to them. There are certain scripts which routinely check for background processes and if found, the hosting account is terminated immediately.Where do you need a Bot BTW ? I might be able to make one sit in your room if your channel is on DALNet Servers. I've got my own shell account and 2 Bots at my disposal. One is utilized for the Xisto group Channels - the other one is lying useless.
  18. Right again Twito You hit the jackpot a second time consecutively. How about this one ? Good luck again m^e
  19. Good going on that Twitch. That was FAST I've one more for you. Good luck, m^e
  20. You don't need to worry about the questions - if you don't have one, simply try and answering the one above. Further questions will keep pouring in somehow or the other. I'm going to add in a pictorial puzzle here. This should be pretty easy. Still waiting for the replies to the earlier ones. Guys - here's the thing. DON'T wait for others to reply - and simply say, "oooh I know the answer .. should I? shouldn't I?" That's not how this thing works. You know the answer, be the first one to state it. That way it keeps moving real fast. In fact, I'm going to reply to the first one for a starter. The answer is 72. How? As I pointed out earlier, either of the ages can be represented algebraically as 10A + B, where A and B are the respective digits in Tens and Units places. Now, we know that daddy's age is just the reverse of grandma's age. So if Grandma's age = 10A + B, Daddy's age = 10B + A We also know that, daddy's age deducted from grandma's gives us 45. So we can come up with a simple formula: ( 10A + B ) - ( 10B + A ) = 45 => 9A - 9B = 45 => A - B = 5 Once, you've reached this step knowing the fact that both digits are prime, just try out by simple trial and error and find which two single digit primes gives a difference of 5 and you have your answer. Grandma = 72 Daddy = 27 Regards, m^e
  21. Start taking notes. See which all IP are trying to attack you - note down the message that your AV shows too. Make a list of 10-12 such attacks and send the list to the support division of your ISP. You should be able to find their contact email under some Contact Us or Report Abuse link on your ISPs homepage. That's how it generally works out. Any further problem, feel free to drop a line.
  22. See - most likely the worm is on another infected computer on the same network as your ISP. It might not be making you the SOLE TARGET. Quite possible that after a prefixed interval it simply tries to broadcast itself to all systems on that network - that's how these worms spread. Any relatively insecure system will let it pass through and infect itself. At least you've got your tools informing you about the blockage - definitely a good point rather than a hindrance - tells you whatever it was was successfully stopped from infecting you. Anyway, I'll post back if I can find more info on this. Try and explain to your dad that it's rather good that you're being informed - that means the security tools are effective. Wouldn't you prefer that to some weakly designed tool that silently lets these worms slip by ? Besides, these popups can help you trace down the source - if it's some infected system on your ISP network, you can easily inform your ISP to take some action. I've done it quite a few times.
  23. Ya man - the whole idea is, WHOEVER answers first, gets to ask the next round of questions. So in effect, you put in your answer and add in your own question too. That way the thread keeps moving real fast. But make sure your questions are intriguing and brain-stimulating
  24. I've resent you the activation email. In fact you might receive two mails, the first one saying - "Your account has expired" and the second one being the actual activation email. I'd to clear out your earlier activation token - hence the expiry email. Don't get worked up about it B)If it still fails to reach - then AOL must be blocking emails from the Xisto domain. In that case, you've to provide us with some alternate email address - maybe one on Gmail or anywhere else your prefer. Let me know.
