  1. Well I used to be an avid Xisto poster over a year ago, but due to school work and all kind of things that hit me I was unable to come on. Today I have had the urge to make a website again and become part of the community like I was back then. I want to say 'hello' to everyone all the best!
  2. I personally use Firefox which I think is the best browser. All the sites I use work perfectly in this browser and to admit it, it is pretty fast and a reliable peice of software. I have used Opera on numerous occasions, but to be honest, I haven't stuck to it. Internet Explorer 7, haven't used that really. I have a few times, but it's pretty slow and laggy? Oh well, maybe in the future I will change to Opera. But for now and for the past couple of years, I use Firefox.
  3. Well the other day I was watching a trailer for a film I am going to see tommorow. And guess what, my mum walked it. She said, are you going to see that? Well at the time it was a scene of women (good looking ) in a changing room, getting well changed. I was like oops, I have to pause that and go onto a different tab in Firefox. She wasn't that too bothered, I keep myself to myself.
  4. Thanks very much. Although the advertisements didn't bother me at all, it is cool and nice to see the forum ad-free. As the websites are ad-free, it fits a lot better now. I am happy that Xisto - Web Hosting is doing very well, all good under the hood. Xisto - Web Hosting support is very good and there packages are amazing, top notch really. I hope the Xisto - Web Hosting success goes from strengh to strengh. Good job OpaQue!
  5. Well I would like to say I have ordered Windows Vista and it is coming either today or tomorrow.I can't wait and I have certainly got the "WOW" after watching the BBC television program on it.The new features totally blow me away and seriously, it is the best operating system out.I will post more when I get the DVD come through the mail.Oh and let me say... It only cost me ?80. I bought the OEM version, and not retail. Basically if you spend ?200 on it, you are paying more for a manual and case.
  6. MusicOnly,May I host your banner on my website... Shrink it down a bit... Then use that with a link? Instead of a text link.
  7. If I need to clear my web hosting... I delete the public_html folder, then re-create it again. I don't know if your supposed to do this, but it does the trick. It is much easier than deleting all the files one by one as cPanel deletes very quickly.
  8. Well the other one I used to use was freehosting123.com (I think that is the name). They offered cPanel, but not all the features like on here. They do not force advertisements, so that is pretty cool. The only problem was that it is invite only. I sneakily used the demo account to send an invite to my self (Hehe), so that is how I got my account.I must say though, Xisto has to be the best of the best!
  9. That actually made me laugh. Ok think of it this way... Other people work long hours for there money, and they're just sat there begging. In my opinion, they should go out, get a good job, and then they may be able to get some benefits. If they are computer geeks, why not start programming for a company, then they will get good pay, instead of making a website and hoping they get some visitors who are actually willing to donate there money what they have worked for.If they are in debt, well that is there own fault really. I see lots of these advertisements on the television saying that they can help you get out of debt. I bet they don't work, but they could try one of those. Look at it this way... These are the people that got there self into debt, now they need to find some sort of way to get there self out of it and into the positive money and not negative.
  10. Icy Tower that brings back memories... Crashed our School's server. Anyway back to the point, I will try this as a few other people have reported no problems whatsoever. I will get back to you once I have installed it, and have it up and away. Is there anyway to change the controls? Z for jump is extremely random, lol. Anyway, happy gaming!
  11. I do not think Freewebs supports MySQL and PHP. You are better off posting here on Trap 17, then applying for hosting. You will get more space, more features and a better community overall on here than Freewebs.I did try to install PHPBB FM once, and I couldn't login for some reason, but I may try again a bit later.I would recommend zipping it up and uploading via cPanel, as it saves time and you are not doing it all separate.
  12. Woah... When did they announce this? There is a big sign up "Sign up for Google Mail" below the login for me. I have had Gmail for well over a year now, probably over 2 years. But I have one question, with lots of new users signing up... Will the space what each person have drop? I thought it will, as it will be split and divided by each user, won't it?
  13. Well I am a true CSI Miami fan, and Horatio Caine (played by David Caruso) comes out with some great one liners. My favorite has to be:"You don't spend a thousand dollars on clothes, that you are not going to wear".
  14. Well you can access the internet without the use of Blue Tooth. I think when you go on the internet via the phone it is GPRS (I am not sure though).I suggest you go on Google and type in your phones make and model, to see if it does have Blue Tooth. This is quite of a security vulnerability and you should really turn it off if you do.Baring in mind Blue Tooth does reduce your battery power, so you may be using a lot of Battery power up.
  15. Blue snarfing Is quite a bad thing, and today's modern hustlers and scammers are trying to use this vunerability to gain access to phones, computers, P.D.A.s and other things which uses Blue Tooth. The attacker could send text messages, ring numbers and basically use your phone from another location. They can access all your information stored on your phone and sell it on to other people for quite a large profit. Attackers target places where there will be a lot of people. Normally they target malls and city centers, as there will be a lot of people there and a higher chance of people who have Blue Tooth switched on, on there phone. The best way to protect yourself from an attack, is basically turn your Blue Tooth off when you are not using it. Therefore the attacker cannot gain access to your phone, as you don't have it turned on. If you have your phone's Blue Tooth turned on, beware as you may have a ?20 phone bill on your next bill. On BBC (UK) they explained this on a TV show called "The Real Hustle", I have attached the link below so you can view this episode. Keep safe folks! Links: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  16. Can you give us a bit more information on this please? Like what platform it is for, etc. As I do not just go and download anything. Also the URL looks a bit fishy to me, and I would think it would to other people too. Can you just give us the direct link please, and not some weird one. To me it looks like a virus of some sort, and all you have done is quoted a bit of descriptive text and added a load of images.
  17. Well say I was an Fighter Jet teacher/instructor, I would prefer someone to crash in a simulator, than in real life. Think of how many lives would be at risk if a trainee crashed a plane because of nerves of something like that. I don't think games like Call Of Duty, Medal of Honour etc, are intended to train you, and are really just a mock of what might happen, but in real life it is 500 times worse than what is on a game.I was watching a show on Discovery about plastic Surgeon training. I know it is a bit different to war, but it is the same principle. You just cannot really learn properly if you are reading a book or being told. You have to go and try it on a simulator or actually do it. On the show, there was a pro who had being doing it for a very long time, watching over someone do implants and if he/she did anything wrong, the doctor watching over he/she could intervene. It is much better to crash in a reality world, than in real life. Also if they are doing it on a computer, the trainer could set it to be rainy and all different things. It would give you a better show of what may happen, than in the sun all the time. They could set it to be at 1:00am and very dark under the moon, or in the afternoon. They could set it to have a thunder storm, you get the picture.
  18. Well my favorite colour is blue. Not any shade of blue, I love the shade of blue that IPB (This forum) uses. I think it just looks so professional, friendly and in a weird way a bit warm. That's why IPB is good on the eyes.
  19. Well I can officially say that all the snow round where I live in Yorkshire, England has basically melted. There isn't much snow left. Well I am off school sick anyway, but I was hoping to watch a few snow ball fights earlier, but seems people cannot anymore. My friend in Befordshire is off school due to the snow, as he says it is 8inch tall down there. There is still snow falling though, but as soon as it hits the ground it melts. The snow was fun whilst it lasted.
  20. I actually really really like it. I give it a 9/10. The only thing I would have done different, I would have used the lasso tool and actually cut round the heads, then blended it. Sorry I think the thing round there heads really spoils it. But nevertheless, very good .
  21. It is snowing a bit down here too. I attached the picture below, this is out of my bedroom window.
  22. Pretty cool. I love the flash logo... It made me laugh for a few seconds. Well I see my site is already indexed there, they must have got it off Google or something, as I have not submitted it.The site has a clean template, and is easy to navigate. You can also search for MP3s, but I am unsure of whether that is legal or not, haven't tried it.I have to admit I will stick to Google for the time being, as it has the search filter on there anyway.I may try this in the future, who knows. One thing I like to point out, in my opinion without the extension .php it looks a lot more professional.
  23. Well I must admit I am a vBulletin person. I own a vBulletin license so that enables me access to there gigantic library of skins, mods and other. The installation on vBulletin is pretty simple. For the mods, I used to think with PhpBB you had to install some sort of mod installer? Well in vBulletin there is a built in mod management interface, which makes it all simple and easy to use. I think the administration panel on vBulletin is much simpler than any of the other Forum software out there. The last time I saw a IPB administration panel, it looked very hard to move around. The vBulletin one is such a breeze. Also the security in vBulletin is awesome, and protects you from basically everything. There may be the odd one or two bugs which come every so often, but then the 24hr vBulletin Support Team fix it straight away. Skinning the forum is very easy. With 30 minutes of looking at the skinning system, I had made a full skin for the forum to my own standards. You can also download skins off the forums as well. For support, vBulletin has 24hr ticket support for free included with owned and leased version. You can also purchase phone support, but with a ticket reply in under 30 minutes on an average, I do not see the point. 24. They are also a few websites which people can advertise if they need web design, graphics design etc. I would try these out to get started, and maybe get bigger from there. You will need to advertise though, you thought of where to advertise yet? And I would have thought you would make a really cool website to show yourself to new people, really give them a taste of what they may buy.Now you may find this pretty weird, but I would charge them to update the website on a regular basis. Now I have to rush to school, but if you don't find them websites, i'll post them a bit later. Good bye!
