There are some good easter eggs on microsoft products. I found pinball for office 97 and i'm sure many 97 users already knows about it. There are some games in excel as well and those games may or may not be easter eggs but purposefully kept and are undocumented. You can find more easter eggs on microsoft word here. I'll post more links if i get any good resource to share on easter eggs. Post non-microsfot easter eggs if you know any.

Anyone who wants to start with ruby on rails should first get copy of ruby running on their mahcine. After that they can use instant rails which is similar to XAMPP. You'll not find easy to work with ruby on rails but it's faster and not easier. Ruby on rails takes some time for learning curve and for running those scripts on cpanel you need shell access. I don't suggest newbies to use ruby on rails at all. It's just boring and takes a lot of time to manipulate than php/asp.

Yes i would like that feature to get implemented. They have said that in FAQ as pointed out by quatrux. So i guess there will be change in new version of the instant. Some of my friends don't like this new search feature at all. They think that type and get results is hasty attempt by google to see what surfer is typing and want to search.

Paid hosting and free hosting have exactly same feature after addition of mycents and perhaps share the same -shared hosting servers. So there is no difference with the technical features. Wordpress 3.2 has requirements of PHP 5.2 or higher, and MySQL 5.0.15 or higher (checked again on that blog post). My one of hosting control panel shows PHP 5.2.9 and MySQL 5.0.91 (just like yours).

I don't know if you are aware of this news that wordpress 3.2 requirements are higher. I know that most of the servers here are already giving update issue. So just wanted to ask if Xisto - Web Hosting is ready for this new update. I mean all that wordpress is asking is that upgrade to PHP 5.2 and Mysql 5.0.1. I don't know if this action will be taken unless we raise this issue. So just want to post this thread for others. If you get failure from 3.1 onwards on Xisto - Web Hosting then please ask or request tech support team and opaque to upgrade the server requirements. I don't know if this will be done unless large number of people request it in forums. You can check this blog post for end of the 2010 scheduled upgrade of wordpress. Those who have access to opaque please notify with this blog post link in this thread. You can also use healthcheck plugin to see if final 3.2 version will be allowed or just 3.1 will be allowed here. I know that this thread will remain uncommented or go in sink but all those who are using wordpress please take it to technical support team and let them know about this future upgrade. Or else you will have to keep hosting with old wordpress version which may prone to hacking attacks or other security issues.

Exactly. These are easter eggs and are included in most of the windows software be it from microsoft or from others. There are few such easter eggs on linux as well. Microsoft office also has some of the good easter eggs. Some easter eggs in office and excel allows users to play games or show some funny things. Excel games are popular easter eggs that people have figured out and enjoyed that i know.

Firefox has best privacy option that you can use. You can set firefox to not remember the history. That way you can restrict it to save cookies only for session. After this session cookies and history will be automatically removed. You can also use CCcleaner to remove any other traces of the cookies or other files in temp file of the firefox. Firefox > tools > options > privacy tab > never remember history selection.

Google chrome OS uses linux so it's not another distribution but more of fork of linux. So chrome is linux based to begin with. I don't know how it differs from linux if the kernel is linux. Google OS is going to be risky because of privacy issues and the way they monitor their users for activity and ads. Who knows they might even embed spyware in their OS be it desktop OS or mobile OS. They are more risky than microsoft.

This is what we are discussing right now. That aliens could be different but we area assuming as per our current knowledge that life that begins right now is from carbon. So there has to be some point for typical life on planets. and this is the way we assume aliens being similar to us or drinking water or breathing. I never found Avira as good antiirus maybe because i had issues with it before. It didn't scanned my USB drive and because of that it let those auto run virus inside the system. I do have alternate for these types of autorun viruses protection now. But i doubt if avira is improved on this. just saying..

I came across myway recently. It is non advertising and bannerless email service. They don't offer much storage space but if you are looking for any private mail box then you can take a look at this. There is also hotmail for domains and google for domains from google apps that you can use for your own domain name. I'm using google apps for some of my domains and so far it is working fine.

It is activated for many asian countries. Atleast it is active for india, and i'm experiencing very big lag because of this. I don't like instant results which are vague for my search queries. Besides for many keywords i'm getting google's service as default search result. Maybe this setting needs to change, hope they improve instant instead of slapping it on every users.

Symbian already released this option but it is upto mobile vendor to implement this. Sony erricson phones have update feature in all of their phones. I have updated my OS plenty of times and it runs symbian. Almost every mobile platform today has this feature. Considering google behind the android project i'll be cautious on what they update on my mobile phone. So no matter what features they bring up it always worries me what they have in mind behind that. I don't go with market and trend to decide how good software is. Even ipad is selling like hot cakes but that doesn't mean it has good hardware and software if you read the critics. Price reduction happens because of manufacturing cost and has nothing to do with software costs especially if the software is free. Price comes down if any mobile vendor brings new feature that threatens competition.

True. It is active by default and for slow internet connection users it gives no results even after pressing enter many times. I have this issue and i switched to classical version by turning off. For regional google search the results quality is such low that i'm considering to use bing for my local search. I think google is overdoing it by adding every piece of AJAX and keywords in their results.

Hmm is this what the sound of microsoft sam and inbuilt speech, assistance ? i have seen few assistacne program making such sounds but none of them are attractive enough to catch attention. You have to redesign your wordpress theme in order to get better adsense placement. Two best adsense formats are 468x60 and 300x250.1. You can place 468x60 below the post title of your every blog post. Avoid placing the below title adsense in frontpage but only enable it for the single page or single blog post. 2. Place 300x250 image+text ad in sidebar. You may feel it odd or hate it but it gives better CTR. And this is the reason you need to update your current meinterest.com blog with new theme. 3. If you want to earn money using adsense then you have to upset your readers in terms of design by making the odd placements that gets clickthrough. Which source you use to keep yourself updated with evolution, biology ? i prefer berkeley's site or university journals but that rarely helps when it comes to looking up new research.

Cool. I can't help but think of these BOT app as future way to teach or guide to people on particular domain. I mean improving these bots can help replace help files or guides that comes with software. Just install the info in pre-installed OS bot and let it guide you for working with that software. Just idea in theory maybe in future there will be similar implementation for this. Bozilbuddy was first software which used to do these things and got taken down by court because it was spyware that used to record surfing patterns of users. Still i like that software wish google or some other software giants can come up with harmless app on this concept.

By the way do you have any idea why we always make assumption that alien life has to be carbon based life ? i mean though we have no seen any other lifeform than carbon based but why it has to be carbon life form in order to be recognized as life from us ?. I came across many people who talk about only carbon based lifeform outside this solar system.

SMS text limitation is because of the network restriction. Some networks have no limits while some do have it. Therefor even if you send it from the network which is not restricting any text limits, the receiving end will find the text stripped in their message. This is the reason there is text limit mentioned on some sites which offer free SMS. You can try way2sms site for the free service.

By the way have you checked ALICE chat robot. You can see that robot in action in some messengers like Nimbuzz and in some flash based human chatbot. Improving that chatbot could give some results that we want for example, if anyone wants to talk with someone on one typical topic and if this bot is program to ask and answer question in loop for that topic then it could be beneficial for business, and those who are always in search of person to chat.
