phpBB is open source, while IPB is privately developed. Which means phpBB can develop faster with a larger community. However, IPB is more stable becuase they hire professinals to develop the coding. Either way I use phpbb, i find it much more customizable and suits my needs more. also, some members have reported problems from using ipb while phpbb is much more reliable.

We can never truly predict "what will happen next". If we just put things into perspective, just a little more than 50 years ago, we were still in the "Hippie Revolution". well, feear no more, your problems can be solved. if you know their IP that is.One of the great features that cpanel has is the ability to block ip addresses. Log on to your cpanle account, and in the "Site Managment Tools section"", click on "IP Deny Manager ", there, you can select what IP's that you want to ban and add a whole list of IP's those fools won't be able o access your site again! :)hope this helps,-whyme
