To be honest, I like google quite a bit and ever since that day in grade five when the teacher first introduced it as our first search engine it's started to grow on me. I'm not sure I would ever pay 5$ a month for it, though. Five dollars isn't bad, but considering I only have to pay roughly two dollars to keep something like my livejournal-hosted blog up, it seems a little pointless, especially when I can use yahoo or ask[dot]com instead. (Or heck, even that cool german search engine I found once before, it had a good image search...)Besides, I only actually use it about once or twice a week, (It's definition search has proven to be very convenient; it's more simple than wikipedia, but does about the same thing ) I thoroughly make use of the "favourite" option, and find most sites through browsing others. I might pay A SINGLE dollar or something, but not five. Then again, maybe google is one of those things you don't realize how great it was until you can't have it anymore?

Do You Know How To Cook? Who cooks their own food?
Cherish replied to FLaKes's topic in Health & Fitness
I think I can cook...not well, mind you, (I once burnt soup...canned) but cooking is cooking, right?I can make spaghetti, but not from scratch. I have to buy the noodles, sauce and hamburger. I can also make Kraft Dinner and a killer omelet. It took me about eleven times to get it right, but now I can add pancakes to my repertoir of "Things Cherish can Cook". I made the perfect pancake and even took a picture of it to post on my livejournal =P -
Just recently I formated my computer due to severe virus issues and in an attempt to bring more organization, had my disk space divided into three hard disk drives; E: Storage, D: Programs and C: Operating System.Afterwards, however, to my dismay I started to frequently run low on disk space in drive C:, (considering that this is where each individual user account's documents, etc. go,) and it's causing me a lot of problems. Up to date, my other two drives seem to have plenty of space in them and I would like to adjust it to put more in my Operating System Drive. My question is, how do I do this without re-formating? I know probably only about 45% of everything there is to know about computers, so some help on this would be greatly appreciated.

o__0 Wow. Out of all the possible issues I've suspected could come out of wearing your contacts for too long, I never even IMAGINED that something like that could happen. I myself, prefer glasses because contacts have always caused me a lot of trouble, whether it's losing them or leaving them by the frosty window and have misfortunate things happen with them. I did, once, sleep over night with them in and in the morning it wasn't too pleasant. It kind of felt like my eyes were burning. I don't reccomend it. I didn't like putting them in, either, but most people can just get passed that, as it just takes a little getting used to. But I like my glasses. They're cool.

Asking A Girl Out whats the best way?
Cherish replied to rejected's topic in Dating And Relationships
I think it's cute when the guy's shy about it...it makes you less nervous and I guess it takes you off the spot, you know?Don't use any cheesy lines. We're not stupid, we can see right through them. I, personally, don't like to be asked out by complete strangers. Once, some random guy caught me completely off guard in the library. I felt like I was cornered because we were alone in the aisle and I hated it. He even asked all these questions like "do you live in this town?", "are you going out with someone right now?" "what are you doing tonight?" before he asked and didn't even try to get to know me AT ALL first. Not even my NAME. I mean, come on, he didn't even make any small talk, just straight to the point, never even ONCE introducing himself. Then he tried to guilt me when I politely declined.Thank you for that, buddy. Remind me to never wander off in the library alone anymore :)Basically, just don't EVER do the above. -
Few Tips From Hiding That You Love A Girl
Cherish replied to Artanis's topic in Dating And Relationships
Um, I'm sorry but I must be missing something here because I'm not sure I understand...Are you saying you don't want HER to know, or just other people? If you don't mind if she knows then why do you care if other people know? And if she would do these things to you FIRST then why would she think that you like her if you were to do them first instead? Are you assuming she likes YOU when she does them? If so, then why hide that you like her?I'm getting so confused -
Do you Want To Know Who Is Her Crush?
Cherish replied to jasonsuzuki's topic in Dating And Relationships
Haha, that's somewhat cruel, yet at the same VERY appealing XDI'd do it, if it didn't tell them that I tricked them at the end >_> Sadly, anyone I know who would the most interesting answers would probably not be able to take the joke -__- -
Haha, those rules are pretty funny. They're stereotypical, sure, but some of them are more or less true. Really, though, it depends on the girl so instead of following some list of rules that applies to the general masses, you should figure out your own rules that apply to YOUR girl.I mean, maybe your girlfriend would like you to be honest with her, you know? If my boyfriend is super happy about his new car or car system then I'll deffinitly care about it too, because it's something that makes him happy and if he's going to talk about it all night then it won't kill me to give a damn about it too and listen, right? Hey, in the end it might actually interest me too :)I'd say this applies to a "first dating" kind of thing. When you're on one of your first dates with a girl, I'd deffinitly suggest not spending the whole time talking about trucks and machines and all that stuff. Haha, I mean, she might like you, but if you aren't that close yet she probably won't like you enough to want to sit there and pretend to understand something she obviously doesn't for hours just to make you happy.

My bother is in this same situation. If you really, really, like this girl, then you have to decide if you like her more than your friend. If not, then stay away from her. If yes, then you can always wait until her and your friend break up and ask her out AT LEAST a month or two later, though you can start flirting earlier than that. By then your friend might be over her and not care. This way you could keep your friend and get the girl you like.If your friend does care then your friendship probably won't survive, but that was your choice in the first place.Whatever you do, STAY AWAY FROM HER WHEN SHE'S WITH YOUR FRIEND. Don't start anything that will make them both hate you. Consider her off the market completely, until she at least leaves your friend. I hope this helped you, I wish you good luck with this.

If you already have a girlfriend you should just make sure this girl knows that to start with. If she keeps doing it then just very STERNLY tell her to knock it off. She'll take the hint and maybe even think you're mean or lack a sense of humour, and she'll probably stop liking you from that alone. If your girlfriend knows this girl and is bothered by it then she can always tell the girl to stop chasing her man too XDIf none of the above works for your situation, then I suggest you get a friend to casually let it slip to her that you find her annoying. She won't be interested in you if she thinks you've been telling people that she's annoying. She'll understand that she's got no chance whatsoever and back off. I hope that this has been helpful to you, and good luck!

How Do I Get This Girl To Like Me?
Cherish replied to MikeyUchiha's topic in Dating And Relationships
I agree with husker, you should talk to her more and get to know her better to start :)When a guy asks me out, I usually like to know him pretty well before I'll even start to think about it. Some good things to talk about to start with might be some light-hearted stuff, like "did you see that movie, _____?"If you randomly say "I think you're beautiful" she might be flatered, but she won't take you very seriously, so it won't really get you anywhere, and if you ask her out and say you like her when you don't know her very well she might shy off, you know? So yeah, I'd just try to get as close as possible by talking with her casually in class from time to time. Careful that you don't get stuck in that "friend zone" though >_>I wouldn't worry about her thinking too hard into the whole answering too fast thing, I've seen that happen to a lot of people before. If anything she might think it's cute? Oh, but your teacher shouldn't really be saying things like that anyway =/Good luck! -
My first website was on freewebs when I was nine. I had been wanting a website for along time, even when I was little but when I told my other nine year old friends they thought I was stupid >_<Back then I'd never even heard of "free hosting" until I one day clicked a broken link on a site I visited from time to time and it aid ,"this site is hosted for free by freewebs...blah blah blah."Then me and my fourteen year old sister made one together, me the html person (I only knew a little html back then,) and her the graphic artist. In think back to those days and it was really fun, even if our site was horribly juvenile and pointless.Later I tried geocities, and that worked well, at first, though the ads starting getting out of control and our computer became so messed up it was unbearable to use for anything webdesign related. The site closed, but it had been fun ^^We hope to open another, more proffesional site sometime in the future now that we're both a great deal more proffesional and experienced.

Girls And Bathrooms. You always wanted to know...
Cherish replied to hedzup's topic in Science and Technology
Dammit girls, he's on to us!Lol, if I actually have to go I don't usually like anyone coming with. If I go in a crowd it is most deffinitly because we're talking about someone and that someone could very well be YOU. So, should you should be nervous? Yes, you should be. -
I'm a girl too, and I feel somewhat awkward replying to this o_0I don't, myself, but that's because I was more or less raised to believe that it's completely inappropriate, desperate, and disgusting for girls to do. Go figure. Anyway, I think most girls probably are raised like that, hence why we would be quiet about it. Plus, I'm sure it's quite embarrassing to admit to guys that you...yeah :)Some people are deffinitly lying though, because it's a WELL KNOWN fact that masturbating helps girls with menstrual cramps =P So yes, some girls probably lie about it. Props to you guys for realizing it o_0 Just don't go around assuming that we are all liars and do it as much as you do. Oh yeah, and doing something like THAT and not WASHING YOUR HANDS is gross. 98? That's sick. WASH YOUR HANDS GUYS. This is why I don't shake hands with people...

Your Hobby What do you do outside the Trap for fun and excitment?
Cherish replied to jlhaslip's topic in General Discussion
Basically my one and only hobby is webdesign .I've had other hobbies before, or at least, tried to develop some, though the only thing I've ever stuck with was webdesign. My mom knows that too because she left me to my own devices on the computer for hours at a time when I was ten, probably delighted that I was giving up on it after a few weeks. (I'm a low tolerance kind of person >_>)When I'm not on the internet I go on my Adobe and fool around until I find something I like. Sometimes I write articles and store them all in a file to refer to or use to help others from time to time. When I'm not on the computer, I'm on my PS2, sleeping or watching DVD's. -
I definitly agree that people should refrain from posting the same thing re-phrased over and over again, though there really isn't much anyone can do about this, seeing as some topics on here have 16 (and up) pages and nobody wants to read all that before posting. It's almost guaranteed that someone will re-state something similar to another, oblivious that they are doing so. Five posts in a row, however, can and should be taken care of, as the person doing so was clearly only trying to gain credits. As long as we're coming up with ways to prevent things like this, people should just learn to explore the topic a little further before posting. (At least the first and last page >_>)

Haha, that's awesome XD Oh, but google wouldn't have done that because "I'm feeling lucky" takes you to the first website that appears on the list when you search and the list is formed by the sites with the most hits that share a common keyword. Do the regular search and there will also be a link explaining this act of "google bombing", though I'll quote it anyway =P

Well, if you think about it it's not that surprising. I'd say at least 90% of the media and advertising depends on their visual appeal. If their commercial or website does not look good then they won't sell or get any attention.I've been getting into graphic design lately because it's a really valuable skill to possess. As a college student or teenager it's also valuable as a side job to pay tuition. For example, my sister got paid $250 CAN by a guy who wanted a CD cover and back designed for his own album. He was really pleased with it afterwards and it only took her about a day to come up with the design, aprove it and then another to make it.Who needs to work in a fast food joint for minimum wage when they can get a deal like that? That's just one guy though, it isn't always so simple; especially if you work for a company. Artists of any kind who work for others may find it challenging to get exactly what their employer wants. You can't read their minds and I think everyone's had that boss that doesn't really know what he wants himself but expects you to. Like someone before me has said you will most likely have to change a lot of things and it can be stressful. So yes, it pays well IF you're hired by the right person, however it's not like graphic designers are getting off easy.

Pirates Of The Caribbean 2 Whos gunne see it?
Cherish replied to tdktank59's topic in General Discussion
Pirates Of The Caribean was an excellent movie, though more than Disney I think it's the cast deserves the credit. From what I've heard, Jack Sparrow's character was improved by Johny Depp himself a great deal.Without Keira Knightly, Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom I think the movie would have been a flop. Of course, that's just my opinion anyway.I've already seen the second one about three times. -
Haha, well oddly enough, I've seen many episodes of Naruto yet never even questioned as to where his parents might be.I never really thought about it before, I guess I just assumed that they died like Haruka's family did...

My favourite game would have to be Chrono Cross, by Square. It was really good quality for one of their older games and I enjoyed the plot and characters. The music was beautiful too.I also really liked it's prequel; Chrono Trigger, which was tied into Chrono Cross' plot. As much as I love Rpg's, I do also enjoy combat games like Soul Calibur, a game that kept me amused for eight hours at a time. Each characters abilities were so different from the next that they were all super fun to play as and I wanted to perfect my skills with them all >_>
-
I'm also very curious about Dirge Of Ceberus. I've heard a lot of really good things about it from people online, though I only know one person personally who's actually played it. Where I live the game wasn't advertised and few copies are available but I am definitly planning to get my hans on it soon

Final Fantasy is great XDI own FF 4, FF 7, FF 8, FF9 and FF10.My favourites are FF 7, 8 and 9. Square Soft is great, and I thoroughly enjoyed those games from beginning to end. FF10, however was a dissapointement, I'm afraid.I just feel that it was lacking in the usual Final Fantasy charm. The grid system to apply abilities was just flat out confusing and only half through the game did I feel that I was beginning to develop a good understanding on how to use it to it's fullest. The characters weren't as likeable as others and the new audible voices annoyed me so much that I found myself turning down the volume on my T.V. set. Boss fights lasted too long and I was more likely to shut off the PS2 out of fatigued than from actually losing. FF10-2 did not appeal to me at all; I'm a girl who wants to escape being surounded by scantly-clad air-heads and the teen-angst that is highschool with all it's relationship issues being thrown up everywhere. When I turn on my PS2 I don't want to be welcomed by the very thing I'm trying to escape from. Whatever happened to trying to save the world? Traveling around, beating up monsters to try and find your boyfriend? Pfft, that's a real nice goal. I lost faith in Square Enix after that and haven't played the new games.

Poll Here:do You Love, hate, like, Dragon Ball Z? What do you pick?
Cherish replied to lud@m@n's topic in General Discussion
Dragonball (the prequel to DBZ) was my favourite show when I was five or six years old. It went off air after about six months though, (I'm not sure if it ever ended before they took it off) and I didn't see it again until about a year ago. It was my very first anime, come to think of it.When I was ten or eleven I was introduced to Dragonball Z and it soon became my favourite show. I was completely crazy about it, I had posters and a lot of DVD's. It was on when I got home from school everyday and my mom would have a hard time dragging me off to Karate class because I didn't want to miss it >_>To this day I've managed to see every episode of all 7 or 8 seasons (I think >.<) including the last. I love it, I really do. If I had to complain about something though, it would have to be how long and drawn out the fights were and the way the 'bosses' (I'm using rpg lingo here =P) seemed to get more and more invinsible with their stupid absorbing powers. Buu has to be the biggest cheater of all time
