switching to Firefox may be an easy solution for you, but i have WinMe and this f*cking OS freezes when i'm running Firefox! if it's because of popups, i'd recommend you to download Google's toolbar, which doesn't block every popup but 90% of them. if it's a bug, update yuor browser makes security patches very often, because they've got lots of bugs) or switch to another browser (Mozilla, Firefox, Opera, or Safari, for OS X).

my parents are quite open about society's taboos, i can communicate with them and they don't hide me almost nothing.but TV is not the best way to learn about sex. it's something that must be discussed at home and school. yes! school...in Uruguay, a little country in Latin America, most of 6th grade classes (11 years kids) have teachers who study sexologic-related stuff. I had one, and we had talks with in the class, and talked about HIV, condoms, develop, etc; and did meetings with our parents.

well i have a bad news my friend the name PHPEditor has got an owner. Well, the creator of FusionPHP (the creators of FusionNews) have a free-program for PHP scripting. It's quite good, I use it. It's not WYSIWYG (at least version 1), but it really powerful, and free. You know, it's not a good idea that people will have to pay for use it, because you'll have 0-10 costumers per year. EDIT: just forgot: HTML previewer is good. also, next time you name a script, search in Google if the name already exists; it 's a good tool.

i have WinME and it's just a *BLEEP*.i have an "old" PC, a typical Win98 computer. but one day, a virus ruined the disk data, and a neighbor offered me to install WinME for free, and I wasn't gonna say no, because i didn't know anything about it.damn mistake I did. anyway, I can't switch to linux (a friend of mine offered me redhat) because my dad uses it (i'm 14 and live with them, yes...) for office stuff (word, excel, mail, etc.) and i can't convince him he can do all that on linux.

I don't suggest you to waste your time learning ASP.If you know PHP, you can do a lot of things... for free. And PHP is multi-plataform (Windows, Unix, Linux, etc.), can be run from CGI (Gateway Interface) and you can use it as a command line interface.Also, PHP brings you tons of modules and you can add many more downloading them for free.Other great feature PHP has, is the databases support. If you have the database engine installed in your server (or your webhost has it), you can use many ones, like MySQL (the most popular one), mSQL, postgreSQL, sqLite, MBD, ODBC (a popular standard), etc.Another great, but not so popular, thing about PHP is the XML handler. I'm trying to use XML as a database, and it's not too hard.

can i give you a tip?DON'T think that a CMS is better than another CMS.just like every script, it depends of what you want.everybody suggests nuke... well php-nuke has millions of tools, but, my friend, i can count with my fingers the tools you'll use. it's not too important how many "modules" it's got, but how good it is.you know when a script is good: - if a friend (a friend isn't somebody behind a screen) tells you is good, or - testing it yourself.if it uses 99% CPU, requires many external PHP modules, and latest PHP/MySQL/Apache version "it's not really good", you know?so, check out what you need and use it: but try it before.also, something great you can do, is to use a script modified by yourself. first something easy (like a contacting tool), and as you get better at it, go ahead anything harder (e.g: chat system).that's what i think, good luck!

i'm Uruguayan (in south america), and i've been learning English for 6 years, with a teacher. but i learnt that the following things are good to improve your speaking/writing language:well, if you have a base knowledge, buy an English-(other language) dictionary and read books or surf the net. when you find a new word, try guess what it means and then use the dictionary. or find a pen/mailfriend.that's for writing. improving your speaking language is a bit harder.try watching films or listening to music. if you watch dvds, hear, at least, the inteviews in the language you want to learn.

really, i liked the design and content, but your site has 0 usability.i'm not a geek about it, but here i have a few tips:- has a splash page. it's unnecesary, it puts off the target of a site: give information.- what information gives it? that i need +IE6 and 1024x768. you should develope designs for the basic: IE4, 800x600 (i'm not the only one saying this) and 56Kbps connection.- a message appeared saying i needed flash 7.0 to see your site right. i didn't downloaded it, of course. i'm sure you could export the flash animation to HTML+GIF&JPEG. and if you couldn't, it's ok, but don't ask me for flash 7.0, if the most of the visitors has 6 or minors.well, i think the rest is fine, except the headers' stuff, yeah, they should be bigger than the body textthis is only what i think, just hope more people can see because content is GOOD!

have you ever heard about shyper.com?they offered free hosting until January 7th.i was registered there and was uploading my site, day by day, first news, than forums an finally content. and the day i release my complete website, i recieve an email from them saying they won't offer webhosting anymore since Jan 7.thay said that it was many people registered an account and didn't use. well, i'm sure they could find a better way to fix that, couldn't???

another good way to learn any language, is trying and reading code. i mean, install a script on a web, use it as you read it's source code. don't even think to install such a thing like phpNuke or phpBB and do so. begin with small scripts like counters or something like that. you can find many of them on HotScripts.com. but, remember, only small code, like a tagboard. also, in HotScripts.com you can find Books about PHP.

if i must be sincere, this is the first Apple model I like.Apple, recently, used to be more "design" than "functional", but i've just seen the features and i must say it's amazing.G4 proccessor, up to 1Gb memory (not so much), etc; and the functional design: $400. the only thing, you must buy screen, mouse and keyboard separetly.i think big computer shops will sell packs with Apple Mini and peripherical devices alltogether, for a good price because, otherway, no one would buy it, and Mac is not as fool. i didn't use any bookmy dad teached me to browse the net when i was 9 and i used it for school stuff and music bands.when 11, i wanted to make a Harry Potter site with a few friends.i found a site, http://www.desarrolloweb.com/ (in Spanish, i'm from Uruguay, in Latin America) and it's got a lot of tutorials.now i'm 14, and i can develope (small) scripts in PHP with MySQL db.i left HP webs world and now i do things for friends of other HP sites in Spanish and for my parents' friends webs, but i'm just begining now.

I think tech is advancing too fast for fool human's mind.marketing makes people buy technology is new today and tomorrow is old.besides, we buy things we don't need. for example, how many people buy paid scripts instead of use and support free scripts that are as good (or better) than they bought.TOO MANY!also, marketing it?s used by companies that need a good image because other factors brings them a bad image.for example (i won't include TM names), all those factories which polute the air, the rivers, it's neightborhood... they need a better image than that one: the key is MARKETING, advertisment with a blue sky and sea, and a sane family using their product.and people isn't smart enough to see their bad image. of course, we can?t live without buy because we wouldn't survive, but we can try not supporting "bad images". it sounds stupid, but, well, i'm a person, i'm stupid too.
