  1. Wow, those are pretty good! Seriously. I like the second one cause it really relates to the world we're in now. :DBut, as said above, try and add a couple complex words in, maybe. But those are REALLY good. Write a couple more.

    Text Mode Browser

Hmmm, it sounds kinda useful occasionally, but I doubt I'd ever be able to actually USE it, you know? And as Buffalo said, a screeny would be really nice, cause it does sound interesting.

    Need Free Ftp Client

Flezilla's OK, but I personally had troubles with it. It was pretty hard to understand, and disconnected for no reason often.I use SmartFTP. It's free for normal use. (I think) Though it does have a nag screen, the interface is much better than Filezilla. Not that I'm against open-source, I'm a huge fan of Linux and Openoffice. I just like SmartFTP much more, it very rarely disconnects, and just works. Besides it automatically opens the last FTP address you had open when it starts up.
  4. Yeah, nitro's great fun. I left it out on the deck for like.... half a year and then it sat in the garage for another year and a half. I was amazed it even started. Must've been running it plenty rich. :DAnyway, I'm not even good at tuning it and it's still got tons of power. (It's got a Torq .16)Anyway, once again, recommending .net. And again, tell us when it's up. I could possibly help with a small amout of HTML. (I can't MAKE templates, but I can edit them pretty easily and have a lot of experience with forums.)
  5. May I suggest changing the letters that aren't red to a gray? Then giving a black glow, 1 px. Then, definatly the new one, cause it's pretty awesome.
  6. Desktops will NEVER be obsolete. As said above, they have room for ONE hardrive, ONE CD drive. That's ALL. And then you get into servers. What do you think servers are? Servers are computers, and who in their right mind would run a laptop as a server?@?! It would be absurd. What happens if you want a top end everything computer. You know, 4GB RAM, 3.6Ghz processor, 1TB HD, with an extra 250GB drive to go with, two lightscribe DVD-CD burners, a floppy drive (Just in case. ), serial ports, top-end graphics and sound cards, oh and the 5 USB ports. I DARE you to fit that in a laptop. It's just never going to happen. Even with how fast they're advancing, they aren't ever going to outdo a desktop. Laptops may be getting better every day, but desktops have the potential to do nearly everything, whereas laptops have to run off batterys, have to squeeze everything into a very small place, and still be lightweight. And because everything's so close, HUGE amounts of heat are built up, and you can't even get air through to cool it off.You can tell I'm not a big fan of laptops. =DAnyway, that's my opinion on the whole deal.
  7. phpBB FZW!!!! I love how it's completely free, AND their's even probably MORE mods than IPB. It's clean, it's awesome, and has nearly as good features as IPB.Oh and, did I mention.... IT'S FREE!!!! So ownage. ^.^ I used to use it a LONG time ago, but I kept trying to mod it with Notepad and screwed it up several times so I finally just gave up. =\But yeah, once I get hosting here, I'm going back to phpBB.
  8. No offense, but that border style looks horrible. Use a simple 1 px black border, it'll look lots better. Then, the text is too light, it's an OK font, but make it a dark red, like the background. :DHope I helped.
  9. Woah, more Star Wars! Awesome. Though I would not like to see it turn into another lame TV Series. That would just ruin it for me, though I would love another like 3 episodes. =DAnyway, that's really cool, just bites that we'll have to wait till 2014. :/
  10. Wow, personally, I think it looks awesome. The border looks great, if you ask me. Borders don't have to be dark.In fact, a light border often looks much better than a dark one, especially on a light sig such as that.Only thing I can say is, the text messes up the flow. I think it would look awesome with no text whatsoever. Great artistic feeling to it, seriously. Did you do it from a tut? If you did, would you link me to it? I seriously like it. =P
  11. I would definatly go with rc-talk.net. It sounds way better. Especially if your going to pay for it...Anyway, tell me when you have it up, I'm interested in RC also. I own a Duramax Maximum BX (Nitro) that's tons of fun to drive. Do you have it up now, or are you not going to put it up till you have a domain?
  12. Lmfao, that hard drive's crazy. 24" discs, whereas a normal one now is like 5" And small one's like 3". Even my 5-6 year old one stores 1800x that one. =OIt really is amazing how fast and far technology is advancing... You can buy a top of the line all-around crazy computer now - next week it'll be out of date. Which is just... scary. There's even a 1 terrabyte HD out now, I think. =O
  13. I know they're accepting registrations now, but I don't have a cell phone. =\ Anyone send me an invite? My email is go__cart91(at)hotmail(dot)comThanks in advance. That was fast, thanks.
  14. It actually made a lot of sense to me. And it is true.... unfortunately... Interesting find, though. Thanks for showing us all. I hope I leanred something from it. xd
  15. Big GTA fan here. =D I haven't tried Liberty City Stories yet though... If it's that good, I may go buy it. But going back to GTA 3 graphics... *shudders* I really liked San Andreas though, it's great fun. Does it have jetpacks and that fun stuff in it?
  16. To start at the very beginning of this thread. No offense, but you obviously have no idea what mass is. Mass has nothing to do with actual size of the object. Well, I guess you could say it does, but a thing the size of a.... cheerio, for example, could have more mass than our earth. (VERY VERY unlikely, but possible) So, size does not determine mass. A black hole, as said above could *probably* be made by compacting our earth to the size of a small bounty ball. (Wonderful comparison, no?) A white dwarf is still much less dense than would be needed to make a black hole. It would have to be much more compact also... Anyway, that's my two cents. ~Sharn
  17. Negative space means open space, with nothing there. Nothing to look at. It can very quickly kill a good sig. The idea is to get as much detail as possible, as much to look at. I know it's very hard to get in GIMP. You don't have PS....? If you do, use it. So... Put the render more in the center, then, not so much text... Just put like your name, and maybe one simple word, like "Death" or something. (XD) It'll stick out much more. Look on http://www.pixel2life.com/ for tuts on "Blending renders" and anything else you want to learn, they have tons of tuts. Great resource, put it in your faves if you haven't already. Be sure to go into the GIMP category before searching.
  18. Hmmm, too big. =\ Mostly practice text, and ALWAYS some kind of border. Sigs without borders are.... wrong. (No offense)Try focusing on the render more, there's too much negative space.Good luck, hope I helped.
  19. Hmmm, practice your text. The glow usually doesn't look pro when you leave it at defaults. Change it to a color in the sig. In this case, and orange would be appropriate. Also, when I can't seem to make a background, it's usually because the render doesn't have anough color and detail. That render is pretty.... empty. Also, I don't really like the thin black line border. It doesn't go with the sig. Try just a white one set to overlay, or low opacity.Well, overall, it's not bad. Just try to take my tips, and see how it works out. Good luck.
  20. I don't have, and can't afford either. For what little website design I used a free one, Evrsoft First Page. It's OK for manual coding, but I wouldn't trust it's WYSIWYG editor. =\ I mostly just used it for edited and adding stuff to a pre-made template.I have made a site from scratch with it, but with my *very* limited HTML knowledge, it's sortof.... lame. XD It's a good editor for free though, if your just getting started, and need something to just code in and see your results, it's a very good choice.
  21. I don't think we are in a game. I personally believe we are here only to learn, that's why God doesn't make things easier on us. When you go through something hard, or painful, you are learning an immense amount, and becoming stronger. If everything were easy, we wouldn't need to learn, we could just sit around and do nothing. I know we can make our own choices, and those choices will make a difference in our lives. There's not someone controlling us, though there's always things pushing you one way or another. Ultimately, it's up to you what you do with your life. You can choose to live in the streets, knocking over stores to eat, or you can choose to make it to the top and live in a huge mansion with servants serving you top-rate 6 course meals, your choice.
  22. Don't worry, i plan n staying active. Anyway, Photobucket's back up, here's some more of my work: And my very first sig in Photoshop: (Also one of my faves) Thanks again for all the complements. Makes me feel all warm inside.
  23. 1 suggestion: Build the background around the render. Red backgrounds DON'T go with green and blue soldiers. O.o Also, crop the white out, and make the renders bigger.
  24. I personally use Hotmail. I would NEVER use 1GB storage, and have been using Hotmail for... Well, since my first email account. =D It's integrated with everything, including MSN Messenger, it's easy, I just like it.Never even tried Gmail. I may though, sounds like a lot of people like it...
  25. Agentb's is really great. So much detail, you could study it for half an hour not find everything.
