Final Fantasy Renders Created by delivi
command-prompt replied to delivi's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
everyone knows that second render is from the hitman series and not final fantasy. -
Well one thing I did notice was that you used the drop shadow up top while everything else doesn't use it, best situation is to drop the whole drop shadow.Or if you use a somewhat dark grey then you could possibly work with the drop shadow more. Also try to see what kind of gradient effects you can use to spruce it up a bit.
-
actually there is one way to do it. Turn your document into a image and then very lightly so as not to disturb the text put a water mark behind it (don't make it white ) and also but the website name in the middle of the first line of text and then do same thing on the last line. This would make it next to impossible to erase it without messing up the text. Make sure to have the font set at 12 it's small enough and yet still readableYou could do the same thing with adobe as wel But I believe there is some programs that can strip a pdf down.

I choose not have a sig since they are childish and waste of space on forums and also a waste valuable loading time. Especially people who make these wallpaper sized ones, its kind of annoying to see 2 lines of text and a giant image. To me thats just plain out spam and kind of takes away from site. Also compared to the likes of deviantart and the people who make actual professional gfx its not even noob at best.

could you provide some links to these puzzle pirate games that would be nice.

like I mentioned on your tutorial this effect only works well with the bling bling text effect nothing else.

Latest Vector Sig Different Look.
command-prompt replied to Saint_Michael's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Make that white space any bigger and you will hve a white background, what where you trying do mix vector and c4d render together?Barely see any c4d render detail to it, text is horrible too.I suggest you read up on tutorials that deal with detail, cause your skills lack that and from what I have seen on your tutorials it shows it as well. -
My Final Template Design
command-prompt replied to Saint_Michael's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
I have to disagree with everyone I think its rather dull and boring, all you did was simple gradient effect with simple layer properties. You expected to use this as web hosting template please only a noob would use this template. The light colors doesn't even help it either. What is that, you made the header and the footer the same, that unoriginal right there as well. Let me guess you where going to use text links for your nav?Templates are supposed to stand out and make people want to come, not looking plain and turn people away. I would trash this template and think of something else. -
your like that saint-michael guy no orignality when designing sigs. Its just looks like oyu took the brush itself and just brushed it looking for good results. Smuding requires proper blending and detail which this doesn't and it just looks like hte render was thrown on there for good looks. I suggest you read on better smuding techniques its will make you better.
-
another lack of orginality tutorial in my opinion, I see this smudge/sharpen effect done so many times, no matter how you word or color it. It is still the same.and its not even blending properly either you can tell but the way its looks, just look at the smudging where he attempted to erase the left half of the render. Try working on proper smuding techniques.

C4d/smudge W/cool Light Effects Tut
command-prompt replied to Saint_Michael's topic in General Discussion
anyone following this tutorial is basically going backwards in skill, its to sharpen, and contrasted, no depth, text is crappy, doesn't follow any real professional gfx skill guidelines. Almost looks like this guy just through it together and just did a couple of filter tricks to make it look good. I suggest you read on tutorials to get better or your not going to be any better then most people I have seen on other gfx sites. -
Glossy Effect Tutorial [photoshop]
command-prompt replied to -Forsaken-'s topic in General Discussion
I would say this effect will look only good on real metal objects I don't think you can gloss a cartoon image like that. -
How To Make Cool Rain Effect (photoshop tut)
command-prompt replied to midnitesun's topic in General Discussion
I agree with dark_drgn, Since the background is at a paculiar angle I would try to match the rain with the angle of the background and then off set it just a bit. -
Scrolling Highlight Bar Effect [Photoshop CS2 and Imageready]
command-prompt replied to Avalon's topic in General Discussion
interesting concept, but yeah the original gradient uses a bunch of ctrl+ (whatever goes here) that have to be follow precisly, basically you have to make sure you don't do anything more with the background or text before doing this or you have to do alot of back-stepping to get it done right. -
Animated Rain Effect animated or not animated
command-prompt replied to Kiriranshero's topic in General Discussion
yes it is a basic tutorial, but the next step in this animation is to make the rain look like its hitting the text or the render itself in the forms of drops or splash its pretty good effect, but it takes a little practice to get them right though. -
How To Make Your Own Glitter Tags, Step By Step.
command-prompt replied to Hadi's topic in General Discussion
its a ok effect only problem is that it only works well on the bling bling text and for those who don't know what it is, Basically its text in diamonds with a gold border. -
Thats all it takes is good advertisement and SEO work to make a good site and in the case of forums alot of oringal posts with mayne responses. But in terms of webiste themselves, content and straight SEO especailly for free webhosting.

the background make the blending of the 2 colors look off, needs more depth to it as well. You have some good lighting on the right sides but still could use more as well. As for render blending it looks ok with the background you have.
-
over contrasted and monotone, need to add some more color to it. The movie bar borders are nothing really new. Its mostly played out on other sites and most of time they go wrong cause the background lacks depth to it.It needs more brushing to it as well.

Rfonline Guild Sig - Sig027 HaliMAUs
command-prompt replied to saga's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
I agree the render is kind of small, in best case senarios if the render is large resize it to where it still big but you keep at least the top portion of it visable. Also after resizing it give it a bit of render blending to it help blend it into the background.brushing is not bad have some depth to it, but always could be better, ccould use some soft grunge brushes to blend some of the background in. I would drop the outerglow to the text, its usually a killer in sig designs, especially to a grunge background. Maybe lower the fill to the bar going across it to give it some transparency or work on the layer properties just a bit. Also on your border layer set it to colorburn to get rid of the white stroke. -
England Sig 10 minute job
command-prompt replied to ashmaster's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Its a ok design, but i do believe your missing a color. Blue??Actually all he did was a simple effect its called radial zoom in the blur filter, just go to filters>blur>radial zoomthen click on zoom and excellent and then set it to 80-100 depending how much zoom you want.Maybe a drop shadow at 2 0 2 on the layer that has the cross on it would give it some depth. If you were trying for reflected text you missed a few steps, most of hte time it requires to have a solid background with nothing behind it. But if you were going for the triple text thing the nyou want to change the color of the text instead of the same color. -
go to your file manager or ftp and look for this fileincludes/meta.phpthen edit your meta tags from there.

Ther no really size restrictions that are set in stone. But generally, 320x120-350x150 is best size for sig blocks in forums.but with you sig though make the text smaller since it covers most of the sig up. Also since this is a simple sig, monotone won't be so bad, make a rusty brown type color.@Simeonus sadly you go whip out a sig in 15-20 seconds with no real skill just a name a picture if you want and a background color. But if you going for look hours days weeks months years if you wanted to. But usually a ok beginner sig that follows i believe some guidlines like.-good brushing techniques like depth and color-good render blending so your render can blend in nicely.-hardest part text, most sigs that I have seen text kills them, no matter how good everything else is, text always gets someone.-simple 1 px black border and your done.of course then theirs filters, which would take longer to explain. Best bet is to read up on tutorials and stuff like that.

Microsoft Windows Bill Gates Edition?
command-prompt replied to rudeturk's topic in Science and Technology
It doesn't exsist and the only way it doesn exsist is that someone change files around and did some lower level hacks. Also you would think that knowing bill gates its next to impossible to hack his computer. I believe is computer security rivals most nuclear missle sites. So go ahead and try that operating system out and be ready to pay for a bunch of new hardware on top of a new windows os software as well since you only can use the ID key once for that system. -
I'be Got A Winxp Strange Error I Suspect Mught Be A Virus
command-prompt replied to realthor's topic in Operating Systems
I wouldn't say its common in fact the only way to pull that off is through a messenger hack. but another suggestion would be to clean out your cookies, history folders and what not in all the browsers that you use. If you clean out your caches that helps sometimes. Also use your system tools and do a disk clean up to remove any outdated or junk files as well.
