Mmmm... Commodore 64... That was the machine... I still have it too, though it hasn't been used in quite a while...I believe the command was LOAD "$", 8, to load a catalogue, or folder list from the casette player, and LOAD "$", 8, 1 to load list from 1541 (i think it's 1541) diskette drive...There is some girl, that bought schemes for C64 from Commodore when they went bankrupt, and she is making a C-1 (C One)... It's supposed to be a computer with programmable CPU, so it could basicaly run anything, from Commodore, via ATARI, Amstrad, Spectrum, to PC and Mac software... Google for it, and you'll find it...Only catch is, it's still high pre-alpha version, so it's for nerds only, and it costs about 200 USD, something like that... Oh yeah, it's hand made

Most likely something destabilized your computer, when you took your mobile off the USB, maybe some power surge, that fried one of the ports, and so it hangs when it's checking it... Just a thought... Also, maybe your cache memory died... I had that happen to me, but I was able ti turn it off, leave it like that for a while, then turn it bakc on, and my computer started working again...USB ports usualy have limited power supply, about 500 mA (milli Amps), and your phone might have just pulled a bit too much, and fried the port...Next time, try using regular charger, the one that goes into 220/110V outlet

Well, technicaly, you CAN make that piece of software, but as fffanatics said, Bluetooth devices have a short range, usualy 10m, bot those that are more powerfull get 100m range...But, the answer to your question is, yes, Bluetooth can be used for communication between two, or more, computers... As I'm not a Java programmer, I can't help with that area, but I believe the answer lies with hardware drivers, or perhaps, just setting up a Bluetooth Network, and using it via TCP/IP layer... Just a guess...

Can you tell us what router do you have? Are you using a hardware router, or it's just another PC, with router software installed?Basicaly, it appears to me, thah the problem lies with network card, maybe it got a power surge when the power got back, and it got fried... Or maybe something like that...Or, if you have DHCP server installed with router, maybe when you changed settings, you haven't saved the changes, and so, when power was out, it all reset back to defaults?These are just a few answers that I can think of right now.... I guess others will have more ideas...

When she picked me, and packed her bags to come, after she left her apartment, after she took three steps, her mother faints, and hits her head on the doorstep...Also, she said she hates me, because I tried to separate them, and to exclude her from our life... Needless to say, I never even thought about it, even less tried...I don't know how this will go, but it's going to be tough... She forbids her to come to Novi Sad, and my birthday is coming up... Needless to say, it's going to be the crappiest birthday ever... It is very uncommon to se someone of black color here in my country, since it seems the whole world is trying to avoid us (except Chinese, they are all over the place, with their shops with cheap merchandise)...However, from time to time, we get the pleasure of someone black walking our streets, with one of our girls... I don't stare... I don't find it unusual... I'm actually happy, because it makes me feel we're becoming a part of the world...Since we are all humans, no matter the color, or religion, I don't see anything wrong in people of different colors, nationalities, or religions, being tigether... If they can make it together, and they love each other, and are happy together, who are we to stop them, or to judge them...I actually can find a black woman attractive and beautifull, same goes for white girls, asiuans, eskimos, native americans... I never see someones color, I only see another human being, with emotions and a life, same as me...So, my advice to you... Don't pay any attention to those stares... No one can control your life, and who you love, but your self... OK, I'm facing this problem right now...I've been together with my present girlfriend, for little over 8 months now... I've known her for 3 or more years... We were very very good friends... Then love just happened to us... We are doing great... But few days ago, this religious/political problem arose... And no, not between her and me, but her mother and her... Things are pretty much messed up in my country, where we have two major political opinions, which would take too long to discuss, and it's place is not here... Enough to say, that I have a pro-european oppinion, whereas, both her mother and she, have somewhat negative oppinion on Europe (her mother more than her), and the rest of the world... Also, two of them are religious, Orthodox Christians, whereas I am an atheist...And here's the story...Her mother met me at the start of our relationship, and had nothing against me... She knew from the start, that I'm an atheist, and of completely different political oppinion than they are... None the less, she claimed that she liked me, and that I'm good for her daughter... My girlfriend and I, never had any fights, related to politics, or religion... Hell, we had maybe 2 fights during 8 months we've been together, and both of them were mild (we fight in the evening, and we make up in the morning, no big deal)But, things started to get mixed up... Her mother is blind, and two of them live alone, and that's what makes this matter complicated... Two of them have been alone almost all their life, and they have a special bond... I understand that her mother depends on her, but I think she is trying to destroy her life on purpose, so she would spend her whole life with her... Because, I learned this is not the first time she does this, when her relationships get a bit serious... However, this threatens to be the biggest fight they had up to date...They live in Belgrade, I live in Novi Sad, it's 80km distance, not far, right? But when it comes to political, and religional standpoints, couldn't be further away... I'm in a province called Vojvodina, which has 7 official languages, and a dosen ethnical communities... Hungarians, Romanians, Russians, Germans, and a dosen more, live mostly in Vojvodina... Also, many religional confessions exist here... She is in a state capital, which is kind of xenofobical, with the rest of the country... So, she never had someone completely different from her...And now, she is trying to separate us... And by that, I mean EVERYTHING... She even pretends to be sick, after a fight the two of them had... My girlfriend doesn't want to break up with me, we truly are in love, and I believe this could be IT... But if her mother continues to do this, I don't know what will happen... She could actually pressure her to break up with me, pretending to be sick all the time...In these 8 months, we've always seen each other for weekends, if I go to her house, or she comes to mine... So, two days a week we're together, and 5 days a week, they're together... And she started claiming my girlfriend is neglecting her because of me, that she never thinks about her, etc. Which is not true, because even when she is with me, she often speaks of her, and she calls her often, to see if everything is all right... And in 8 months, she never said anything about being neglected... Why now? Why after 8 months, do all this?There is probbably a ton of things I failed to mention here, but I'm really not my self, I'm worried about what will happen... I'm very emotional, and when I love, I love with all my heart... And I love this girl with all my heart, and even more... So, I hope you understand why thid worries me like hell... Maybe I'm over reacting, maybe this is normal, but it never happened to me... If she had some good reason that two of us shouldn't be together, I would accepted that... I never rose my hand to hit her, I never even raised my voice at her... I do everything just to make her happy, and to se her smile, and be sattisfied... I guess you can't call a person like that "bad for her", can you? I don't know... Anti Virus:AVG Free Firewall: AtGuard (Ancient firewall, excellent though, many know it now as Norton firewall) Spy/Adwares: Not neccesary, since I do keep of suspicious sites but I have Ad-Aware 1.06 Personal, just to be on the safe side... And soon, I will install one machine, with Linux, to use as a router, so there will be iptables on it... One question though... How can hardware firewall, combined with iptables, make computer less protected?

RAM module couldn't have killed your motherboard... My motherboard also supports only upto DDR333, but I have one memory module DDR400 512MB inserted, and it works just fine, only with reduced speed... Also, I have 3 slots, and slots 2 and 3, share bank 1 and 2, so, I have my 3rd slot disabled... I tried I inserted a module, and it didn't work, motherboard just beeped RAM error, and halted... When I removed the module, my computer worked just fine...Most likely cause for this "murder" is static electricity, or simply old age... Though I would bet my money on static electricity...Follow those guidelines posted by others, and see what happens...

It's a wonder what big companies will do, just to put 1 dollar more into their pockets... Dell has been known for it's use of Intel processors... Frankly, I don't understand this news, about buying 20M AMD processors... But hey, if Dell's CEO will put 2 USD more in his pocket, for each processor, who am I to argue?I still stand by my oppinion, that AMD is a gaming processor, and Intel is ment for serious work... As it has been proven to me, on several occasions where I had AMD and Intel, doing the same job.. Well... Ummm... Maybe you could give me some more info? Like, what's the type of the pictures? Do they have some sort of background, or something...If they have background, and the color of background changes as contrast changes, you could just check 1st pixel, and find appropriate picture, from your picture base (no matter how many pictures you have there)If the color you search for changes, do you know in advance what it is? If you do, you could just add a textbox, where you could enter color-code you're looking for, or add some sort of color picker...Then, are you looking for a specific, exact color match, or are different shades allowed... If you don't need exact shade search, then you'll have a bit more programing to do, since you would need to check each pixel against a range of colors...that would be about it... I never did any image analysis program, so I'm just talking theory here, and I most certainly won't be able to help you with any advanced code, but I'll do all I can...

I never really liked Microsoft, just been forced to use it, by my own lazyness, and several more, non-important factors... This whole Live idea sounds nice to me, but I have to wonder, while serving content to your desktop, hwo much information from your computer, will be served to their desktop? I am actually now free to switch platforms, and I will move to Linux, as it gives me all the control I want... And I want total control of my computer, not just what M$ thinks it should give me... And as with all M$ products, I expect it to be full of bugs, and more importantly, security holes... Besides, I don't see what's so wrong in using your browser... Whether or not it's too big to carry around, it's still a notebook... And you can't stick 2 HDD's, and 2 optical drives in it, now can you?Desktop PC's will always stay around, simply because they are easily extendable, whereas, a notebook has what it has, and has little room left to improve... I spend very much time in front of my computer, mostly because of work, I'm a programmer, or software developer, to call it a more popular name these days :DI would spend about 8 hours a day, staring at a monitor, programming, then get home, spend about 2 hours away from the computer, while I have my lunch, maybe rest a bit, talk to my folks, and then, guess what... Back at the computer! Right B)I also use my computer for entertainment purposes, watching movies, listening to music... I found myself asking me a question, what would I do, if I didn't have a computer... I couldn't think of a thing... That kind of worries me... Computers are very easy to get addicted to, because you can do everything with them, from work, over playing games, music, watching tv... Anything you can think of...And then, there's the Internet That thing is more addictive than morpheine, or something Depending on the use, one can find him/her self overwhelmed by its contents... For me, the amount of information I can find on a particular subject is awesome... I can spend hours, and hours, just reading the info, browsing through pages, and pages of information, never getting enough... If used properly, one can get very smart using the Internet :DBut also, note this... If you spend too much time in front of a computer, following things WILL happen to you... Your eyesight will deteriorate... No matter if you're using TFT monitors, or the old CRT ones, your eyesight WILL deteriorate... Your physical readiness will deteriorate also, and your waist circumference WILL increase This I hace proven on my own example So, always, ALWAYS, find some time to work out, go out with your friends, work on you social life, outside of this virtual world of 1's and 0's, even though you might get wet from the rain, or freeze, if it's snowing... But nothing beats real, social gathering, with real people you can touch (just watch who you touch, and where, you might get slapped ), not even a computer...

Piracy can't be stopped, simply because people will always want free software, and there will always be people willing to provide it... The only reason that Metastock program wans't on that site, is because it's not generalized program...Crackers tend to put up software that majority of people want to use, meaning Office-type software, different games, and rearly specialized software... I'm not saying it's not available, maybe it just wasn't paying off to crack that program...What a man makes, a man breakes... To my knowledge, black holes are dead stars... So that theory that black hole can die... I don't think dead things can die further But I didn't do much research on the subject, but I will do so :PThey have extremely powerfull gravitaional pull, and thus, they appear to swallow everything in their way... As a matter of fact, they just keep fusing things to it, enlarging theyr mass even further... What would happen if you would drop a steel ball down to Jupiter? It would sqwash it as much as it can, and add, it would probably evaporate, before reaching center of Jupiter...Photons are particles, that caryy light, right? So, if a black hole has great gravitational pull, it is possible it can pull even photons to itself, thus apearing it's "eating" then... I think I've seen on Discovery channel, a simulation, how black holes are being found, and they did find several black holes in Milky Way only...I will do more research, and return to join this discussion

Yeah, I know how it looks to go through other peoples code...I myself try to write as clean and as self-understandable code, but our brains function in different way, and what is obvious to me, might not be obvious to you, and vice versa...And yes, there are dozens of manuals on how to write "unreadable code", to ensure your job position, and make sure no one replaces you... That's a myth, and I don't know anyone who has saved his job this way...But, we all have to do our job, and... Untanglig a tight knot is just another one of them

Software that is up to date, has nothing to do with system stability, in most cases... Of course you need a stable release of software you run on your computer, but newest version is not always a guarantee that your system will operate 100% stable... Since, Windows is not 100% stable, all the up to date software in the world, won't help you...It has everything to do with how Windows manages memory, and swap file, and computer crashes can occur due to several reasons... I won't mention before mentioned reasons, but I will add another...Since I'm a programmer, I tend to know how programs work, and how easy it is to crash a computer... You can, for example, write a program, that increases a counter every second... It's limit could be, for the sake of argument, 100 seconds... So what happens when the counter tries to increase this counter to 101? Crash... Depending on the compiler, only program can crash, or the entire Windows will crash... Because this counter is kept in memory, and he needs, say, 2 bytes to store values form 0 to 100, and 3 bytes for values from 101 to 150... What happens is, when that counter reaches 101, program itself will try to access memory that is not his, but from some other application... As a result, Windows will try to prevent that program from changing other programs memory... Sometimes, that memory belongs to Windows itself, and sometimes, Windows foesn't prevent this change, and total system crash ahppens...But... You just restart your computer, and voila... All is fixed... Until next time

.BAT (Batch files) can be looked upon as a shell scipt, because, that's wtah they actually are... Theya re plain text file, with simple structure, and a list of commands that operating system has to execute... These commands are not really commands, such as found in programming languages, but rather, OS commands, and program names... So, for example, you could set some temporary environment variable, and then execute some game, and after that game exits, clear that variable...Batch files could perform simple branching, variable comparisons, text input, OS command execution, and program execution... Try to obtain manual or help files for MS-DOS 6.22... You can find more info there, on batch file specific commands....BAT files were uses while MS-DOS existed, and were useful, if you had to do same operations constantly, to avoid typing the same sequence of commands over and over again... Since MS-DOS no longer exists (it's only emulated in WindowsXP), and due to graphical operating system, .BAT files lost some of their use... They still do the same thing, they did years ago, but are obsolete now...Think of batch files as a form of Unix shell scripts...

You need to configure your router, to forward all incoming data on certain port, to port that your chat server is using for incoming connectios... I think that should do the trick... All have your router forward all the ports to your computer, so all requests would be processed on your computer...
