Thank you rvalkass for all your help. I have now finally moved onto Xisto - Web Hosting. It just happens to be that the Xisto - Web Hosting office is just 15 minutes from my college!! The new CPanel looks great!Thank you for all your help everyone!This also happens to be my 150th post!!When I do terminate my hosting at Xisto, can I still be a member and will I still be charged a credit a day??

I was earlier on the basic plan at Xisto. This month I ran out of bandwith on he 13th of this month. I then decided to upgrade my account. I filed an application and was approved by the admin. I went to https://support.xisto.com/ as I was told in the email and upgraded my account successfully. But my site http://angadsodhi.com/ still shows the message 'Bandwidth Limit Exceeded'. Won't the upgrade take place this month?? Will I have to wait till Jan?

If you want to display ads then check out karlosantana's link. Really a very good colletion. Nice info on all of the top money making sites. If I'm right, paypal takes 0.35$ from a donation of 1$. That is what is putting off most people. But almost all the links that I've come across make use of paypal coz it is really easy to use. However people will donate only if you have been generous enough to provide quality free content. For example, I donated some money to the site where I found my free wordpress template because I felt that guy deserved it. I felt that I would have had to pay for a premium template so I donated some amount to the designer. Now-a-days you can even see a donate button on wikipedia. I've never tried facebook!!This may sound very strange to most people but in India, nobody's really heard about facebook!!All Indians are going ga-ga over Orkut and people don't wanna change over to something new!I'll be trying it out now.I also like Digg. Digg is useful if you are someone with loads of time and want to check out articles on the net. StumbleUpon is really useful if you want to let people know about your posts. You can really reach people that are interested in similar topics!Honestly I haven't tried most of the remaining lot.

Today I get a message from them stating that my bandwidth used up is 1580MB out of the allowed 512MB and so my account has been suspended!!Now why on earth did I bother bringing it to their notice?? Today's just the 13th of the month and I've run through my bandwidth. I've gone through the plans by Xisto - Web Hosting. And I must say they seem too good to be true! I hope there are no loopholes in it! Sometimes when things get too good, we start suspecting em!One more question. Now that I've got 30 credits can I upgrade now itself or will I have to wait till the end of the month?

The site has not been updated since 10/2/2007!!I suggest people who want ot create such sites should look up a free template that suits their topic and then modify it according to their needs! That way you don't end up with a badly designed site.Starting from scratch can be really tough and this is where free templates come handy. What people don't see behind good looking sites is the abundant use of tables. A newbee may not be able to design a site using tables right away.As far as this site is concerned, it's realy horrible as per the design front is concerned. But what I like is that the creator has done a bit of research into it. A flash menu and a really awesome contact page are two things I really loved about this site.

I love the idea!You could always have two or maybe three rings on your fingers!!! Runout of pepper from one ring, spray the bad guys with another one. There is probably a limit to how many pepperspray cans you can carry but you can have as many rings as you can afford.That brings me to another question. Are these rings refillable? If they are reusable they'll rock.Also is the photo authentic. How can they compress a hide can into such a small spray. Does anyone have any links as to where people can buy these??

Enter just your username and password That should do it. To access your account via FTP use this address: keegonguyen.com enter your username and pass. That should probably work. Tell me if that works. I hope I'm correct Admin. This is what works for me!!

I have my wordpress blog at angadsodhi.com/wordpress i.e 'wordpress' is the folder where I have the wp files.I use a simple redirect from angadsodhi.com >> angadsodhi.com/wordpress so that visitors don't see my index page.I dunno why but I get a lot of hits at angadsodhi.com/blog even though I've never given that address to anyone.Obviously angadsodhi.com/blog does not exist. when you try reaching that page, it shows my WP blog with the 'topic not found' page. Therefore I must not be losing these visitors.So I would like to redirect everyone visiting angadsodhi.com/blog to angadsodhi.com/wordpressAs you said anwii, I cannot rename the folder 'wordpress' to 'blog' as google indexes my blog as angadsodhi.com/wordpress and .../blog will look like a completely new site. Also all those places where I've given out links (like DIGG for eg.) will not work.Maybe I'll have to finally consider paid hosting! When I started with Xisto (4 months back), I did not expect as much traffic as I'm getting now.

So no question of NTFS here.I tried formatting my transcend JetFlash and I gave me these two options: FAT or FAT32What is the difference between the two. Also I would like to know the difference between a normal format and a quick format. The quick format is really very quick!Update:I did some googling myself and came to the conclusion that when you run a normal format, it deletes all your files and check the entire disc for bad errors. But when you try to quick format it, it does not check for those bad sectors.Checking for bad sectors takes up most of the time. therefore it can take even longer if the disc actually has bad sectors!It is advisible to check your dissc for bad sectors once in a while if you had earlier used quick format. If you instaled WindowsXP on a partition that was formatted by using the Quick format option, you can also check your disk by using the chkdsk /r command after the installation of WindowsXP is completed.

OK I was wrong!I had missed a step the last time I tried. So I had a very different impression. The tutorial is really great!Adsense setup page does show two text-boxes one having the top-half code and the other having the lower-half code. Yes. Almost everyone has some kinda ads on their blogs. Moreover if people like your site they will surely subscribe to your feeds/bookmark your site and keep comming regularly. It is the only publicity you'll ever need!! If your site displays relevant ads, you can get paid for it and make loads of money too. I have google, TTZ Media and BidViser ads on my site which is currently down as I have run out of bandwidth this month!! You could 'stumble' any page you like. You could even have a blank page displaying just 'hello world' and stumble it. But then if people don't like it, it wil slowly die down. Hopw that answers your question wgn_white.

This is what I get for reporting a flaw in their system!!! That brings me to a question, if I can get 30 hosting credits and get my Xisto account upgraded to the higher one (the one with 10GB of bandwidth imit) can I get my site back up this very month itself or do I have to wait till the end of the month. I get a traffic of about 3K visitors a day! It's not even halfway of the month and my site is already down!! And there's one more problem to my account BuffaloHELP. I had tried to redirect angadsodhi.com/blog to angadsodhi.com/wordpress (there is no folder named 'blog'). It says 'redirect successful' but the redirect does not work and is not even shown in the redirects page!!

Hate it, give it a thumbsDown and you will never be shown similar content again! You could also write contents/reviews of that particular page. Even my bandwidth usage is still on zero! I've had 29,000 visitors this month (december) and my bandwidth used is shown to be 0. I wonder if I'll run out of bandwidth by the end of the month!! I've seen a trememdous increase in traffic lately. In nov, I had just 1475 visitors!! (my graph has gone bonkers!!) Can someone estimate how much bandwidth I must have exhausted until now. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ is the page that had 95% of those hits and the post has about 140KB of images which are hosted on my site itself. And what do I do if I run out of bandwidth by the end of the month??
