Accessing My Cpanel After Changing My Domain Name [resolved]
angad619 replied to angad619's topic in Web Hosting Support
Thank you jlhaslip, thats what even my domain rpovider told me. I'll wait for another day or so and report back. Thank you. Update: It's been more than 55hrs since the nameserver change. Now when I visit http://angadsodhi.com/ it redirects me to angad.trap17.com/wordpress !!!! Where did that come from?? Firstly, my previous domain was angad619.trap17.com (not angad.trap.....) and secondly, I'm not using domain forwarding!!! Notice from BuffaloHELP: If your post is the last one, you can simply EDIT your update--do not double post. Merged. -

Sonic The Hedgehog (ps3, Xbox360, Pc) A Review
angad619 replied to shadowlusterx's topic in Computer Gaming
Great review! Even I've been a 'Sonic the hedgehog' fan since a long time. But somehow I've lost interest in the newer versions of the game. They have become much complicated!!I love the classic old game. Recently downloaded a 2MB game for my PC and I must say I spend more hours playing it than most of the newer versions!!! -
I use the .co.nr url shortening service from freedomain.co.nrBut when I submit my site to google, only the homepage of my blog is shown in the search results. I can't get my individual posts to be indexed. Can I do something?

Peer-to-peer An article I wrote for my college mag
angad619 replied to angad619's topic in General Discussion
This is an article I wrote for my college mag. please do tell me if I've got something wrong before I publish it!Is there anything more that I can add?The main aim has been to keep plain n simple!! -
What is peer-to-peer? Peer-to-peer (better known as P2P sharing) is an advanced networking system that is way different from the client-server model. What is the client-server model? Well, any damn website is the best example of a client-server model. We, as visitors, are the clients who request the server to show the webpage. So it basically is a one-to-one correspondence. The client requests a page and the server obliges. The same logic applies for sharing a file. If you want to download a software, say ‘Google talk’, you go to the Google page and download it. If your friend wants it too, he too goes to the same site. Thus the same server doles out downloads to whoever requests it. A server is basically a computer that is online 24hrs a day, 7 days a week. Suppose I create a software and I want to share with friends. The software I create will be on my PC. So do I have to keep it connected to the net all day? My telephone bills would definitely set new records month after month!! Fear not, here’s where P2P comes in handy. It works differently from the client server model. It works on the basic principle that when someone other than me downloads the entire software, he too becomes a server. So if a third person wants to download it too, he downloads parts of it from both us. Then, he too becomes a server thus, as many people it reduces precious bandwidth consumption for each of the peers involved. Thus the file can be easily shared ‘Peer-to-Peer’. While the concept seems all rosy, the history of P2P sharing hasn’t been so. It has lead to various piracy issues in the past. I mean who’s stopping me from sharing a copyrighted file? Piracy protectors have a hard time with P2P. But then comes the big question: To Peer or not To Peer?? While P2P can be a boon for budding software developers (people like us, maybe), it can be a pain in the ‘you know what’ for creators of authentic material like the entertainment industry, software companies etc. So it all boils down to one’s own discretion. Advantages: You could find whatever you want whenever you want. Afterall if you need a particular file, someone in the World Wide Web must have it! You’ll never miss out on that sound track you heard in the rickshaw today, any movie, documentary, project… whatever, whenever! Disadvantages: You need a P2P software for it. Not a big problem though. The popular ones are: LimeWire (http://www.limewire.com/) BearShare (http://www.bearshare.com/) EMule (https://sourceforge.net/projects/emule/) Shereaza (http://www.shareaza.com/) to name a few. So is the P2P concept still a budding concept. Definitely not! It’s been there since as early as the 1970s! But then it hasn’t gained momentum in our part of the world. A little awareness would do us good. So P2P anyone?

You sure seem to have tinkered with your cell phone a lot!!But as far as anonymous emails are concerned, you could do it with a bit of knowledge of PHP too!! All you need is a well set-up server that can send emails!!That way you could send mails from billgates@microsoftdotcom to your friends telling them MS is interested in you!!!
-
Take a look at how most websites review the 'Build quality' of the particular phone. You can't rule out phones just because they have a flap or slider!! There are some great phones in that category too!!!

By the year 2038, wouldn't 32-bit machines be absolete???If we can't find a way round the bug by 2038, shame on us!!!

Even if you have a normal site you could create just a single WAP page about our site. One can always use it as a means for greater publicity! The WAP page can give a brief description of what your site is all about. This will definately draw visitors to your site so that you don't miss out on the wireless lot of people.Publicity always helps!!

Great write up. There are sites like tripod.com and pages.google.com what allow us to make pages without knowledge of any coding. Is there any such site for creating WAP pages??I personally feel the best methord to learn HTML is to create a site using on of the similar sites and study the code.Just tinkering around with the page source helps learn qiute a few things!!!

+ves:Simplest way to start a wiki. No knowledge of PHP or HTML required whatsoever! -ves: You can't place your own google ads on your wikis!! The final page looks a bit cluttered with their ads, and other relavant boxes

Another interesting feature is the newsletter that is received ever week or so.Shows your site rank, top contributors, your contributor rank etc.

Wikipedia, considered by many as the greatest site ever created, is based on just one principle – who’s got the time to maintain an entire encyclopedia all by himself? So you let people create pages, edit them, maintain them. Doesn’t ‘let people create’ seem a mask to pleading people to develop your site? But then it worked!!! Ever wondered what it feels like to be the sole power behind it? Well, now you could experience it too. Wet paint allows you to do so. A single page on Wikipedia is called a wiki, a page that can be created, edited, deleted by anyone (obviously under strict observation). Wetpaint.com is one of the few sites that allows you to create a site compiled of several wikis. Head over to wetpaint.com and take a look. Just for this review, I created a site on wetpaint which is actually a replica of my site sachinfan.co.nr. You can find my site, rather my bunch of Wikis at angad619.wetpaint.com. Signing up is a breeze. Much like any other signup. Just choose your username, password, site URL <something>.wetpaint.com Choose a suitable layout and you are on your way!! You can start by inviting people over to your site, people you trust, people you think could develop your site along with you. All you need is a vision of what your site should look like and whatever creativity you can muster together. Also plan beforehand how much of the contents you’ll be conjuring up yourself and what part you want others to play. Also find out what options you have at hand. You can then weave your way through to a nice little site. It also sends you weekly stats of your site. My site is currently ranked 29,169 out of a total of 507,000 total websites!

Children all over the world are tought that the Egiptians toiled hard to carry every single block to the site!My teacher once told me that even today in some pyramid, you cant insert a blade in between the two blocks. Justifies the 'poured over' claims! Coz then any sort of crevices would have definately been filled!!!

Google was founded by two people??Now they must be employing thousands of people in every country!!! That sure is a success story!!!!The founders themselves might not have imagined they would reach these hights today. Google has most of it's services free and earns only from advertisers. Yet they are the best!!!

Php Or Html? which do you use?
angad619 replied to habbovalley's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I've created a single header and a single footer for all 7 pages of my site. They all have individual bodies. Finally I've put them together using php. PHP allows us to include files and that can be a real help.So if I have to edit something in the header or footer, I have to edit just one page and not 7 times!!!PHP rocks!!!But you have to start with HTML though!!!
