  1. Of course, the anonymity gives us equallty. That's why Im not counting web sites such as Facebook. The old school internet where people chat with each other without knowing if the other side is a boy or girl, uglly or beatufil, rich or poor, black or white... Equallty gives us power to flame to anyone. Because you are no more strong than me on web, becasue we are equally powerfull on the internet I dont afraid of you. So I can flame and of course you can flame me back. Because we are equal. (But of course, as gaspe mentioned. Untill an admin shows up * *Im not favoring flaming or internet abuse. Im just saying it is the result of equallty. Lets have an other example. "i_speel_good" I dont know you. So while Im thinking sentences to you my sub-consciousness build my ideas on a base of you are middle-class white young male. Well, at least that's how I think our minds work. Is there (mind) doctor in the house? Bottom line, I love internet. It's a revolution for communication. Not only for making it easier... By the way, Im replying the topic to extend my idea and share my passion(over used?)... not to argue against you or to disagree.
  2. Yes, you are right. People always tend to limit God with human powers. Remember religious people believes God created the physic, time etc. It can easly above them. We, humans, right now in a closed little box. Our perspective is very limited. I believe when we die, God will let us out of that box and we could see the universe as it and say "so that's what really is" Just imagine, before discovering the magnetism and electricity, can anyone guess there could be a world full of trees, people, animals, rivers just on a round flat object. (Im talking about computer games We say God is everywhere, maybe the universe is part of the God...
  3. Kobra, you are talking off topic. That was an example, Im not talking about neither elders nor respect.Gaspe, you're right about admins. I havent thought about them. But talking about everyone else, I dont think it's "I dont care" attidue but more "imagining a reflection of ourself". But that's my thought.
  4. I think I couldnt able to express myself. Hmm, let me use different words. I was a child. You know what they teach to kids. Respect your elders. So... can you engage into debate with your elders while you are kid. Well, some do. Anyway, that isnt the point. The point is the internet realeses all the fear and pre-occupution of the person. Well, equallty isnt about intelligent or debates. What I meant there is, what would be real life look like if we can manage to bring real equallty. Because I say the internet has the real equallty and we see the results there. I wanna make a little poll, survey. Have you ever chated with a (if you are white insert black or vice versa) without knowing his/her race and when he/she show you his/her photo you surprised a little: ohhh he's not white (or insert black)
  5. Years ago... I was surfing through web, chating with people. Anyway, someone was wrong and I had to correct him So we exchanged messages then I learned he's a middle aged man. That hit me. To that point, in my mind he too also a teenager. So I kinda fell remorse, I felt like i acted disrecpectull to an elder. Just think about it, our minds cant talk to a monitor so we create an avatar for the people we talk on web. But because we know so little things about them, our mind copies our own identity. So that's why we are absolutely equal on web. It doesnt matter if your partner is rich or poor, black or white, educated or a high school drop out, older or younger. Until the point he/she tells you, in your mind he/she is the same person as you are. On web we are all anonymous, so we are all equal. We can all talk both without fear or without prejudices. You cant be racist to someone anonymous. Lets get back to my original example. In that year, I was young and shy... I couldnt argue with older people but on web it doesnt matter. Did you catch my drift? So you may show me web sites like Facebook or Hi5 where people put their real ID. But well... these web sites arent for discussions. The forums are still alive! And you may also say anonymous are resulted in E-thugs. People who talks like "noob, f-ck u" or upload shity videos who bash many things. Well, that's the result of equallty. In real life that e-thug is acting normal because he's afraid of your muscles. He would talk like that in RL too if he had same power as you. What do you think?
  6. So if TF2 came out in 1969 then when the game 1st one in series came out By the way, yeah... computers are too complex. Noone can know why those weird mistakes happens. All codes affect all other codes Window title says it's deleting DeusEx but in fact the FarCry were deleted (look at the path). http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Ops, I downloaded more than I need. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ The download finished at 100% anyway. The number decreased.
  7. Too late for Croatia... Man it was an amazing game.
  8. I thought today's evolution theory and DArwin's theory are much different in details. That scientist find many holes and fixed it such as human from ape thingy. I thought no scientist today say we came from apes. Am I misinformed?
  9. Im a firefox fanboy and a regular user. I mean I dont know things like memory leak or crashes but hotmail service has issues with FireFox3. Im lovin'it
  10. I think he (topic starter) just wants to start a fight and bash a religion by acting he's clueless and want to learn. I know this tactic from my brtoher. Hear me : I forgot the details. It was either Pope's saying bad things about Islam or the cartoonist thing. Anyway, my brother got angry (he is a angry fellow) and he logged in to a web site and ask questions like "hello, I want to learn about Christainty but Im confused about trinity". I think here is the same case. Topic starter got angry to a muslim and now he's relaxing. cheers...
  11. Yeah, Turks see the 13 fear as a western culture and dont much pay attention.
  12. Yes, people were scared and cant think properly so polticians, power centers, religious nutjobs etc used people's fear to lead them to a unjust war. The invasion of Iraq helped nothing for the security of USA even worsing it as 2nd Gulf War provided a training and recuitment place for terorrists. By the way, I (as a muslim and a Truk) have no hard feelings to western world becasue of the crusades. After all, it was age of empires... But I condem them for the war crimes the crusaders commited.
  13. Racism, discrimination and prejudice are close terms and can feed each other. Such as Striker9 shows some of his prejudice by those sentences. Well, we all have prejudice. As human we cant help that but we can prevent our prejudice to effect individuals. And dont forget "nice" prejudices such as Japannese are good at math.
  14. saitunes, do you know FlashMob? I dont know why, I think I give away good energy or have a clean face or something. Strangers on bus often tries to chat with me. Im okey with it but sometimes... Im not in the mood. Cant you see there are headphones on my ears!! :P
  15. Hello, I want to install RPG Web Profiler on my web site. It seems easy with a very few steps but I have never worked with Apache before. The readme of setup. This is the step I couldnt understand, the last step. By the way, Im using Xisto CP.
  16. Politics sucks... In real life, if something happens right in front my eyes and I would say "no I dont accept". You would call me crazy. But in politics... well it's part of the politics to reject the obvious things.I mean in Kosova example:They have their own flag, rulers, laws etc the things that makes a country. In reality they already act and live as indepentence but why, why to ignore them. What good will come from it? Do politicians really believe Kosova people would give up their indepentence when they face problems.Yeah, yeah... I can see the political reasons but still...Poltics really something...Oh by the way, Viva La Kosava!
  17. that means he/she in favor with the person doing atrocity and equally evil. I believe you are not well informed about 6th. Yes, Turks invaded those lands. But I think you can look at the history as before and after the invention of nationalism/freedom. Just look at who were fighting for the ruling of Anatolia. The Turks came from middle Asia, Romans came from middle Europe. What about the inhabitants of the Anatolians? You can find many other examples, two forces are fighting for a land that not theirs to begin with. All nations who found the idea of nationalism invaded the other people who lacks the nationalism. You can say that was wrong, maybe you are right. But then this would be a sin for mankind. I really believe the Turks treated their lands better than other empires of that era. My proof for that is many African countires who enslaved by French and British talk in their language but lands of Turks dont speak Turkish today. And my personal opinion (some Turks may disagree) the OttomanEmpire treated Europen lands better, spent more resources on it than its homeland, the Anatolia. I can say many more things about the issue but Im already talked too much off topic. Forgive me chriso_cd 7. Nobody tried what did Greeks to the Turks during 1963-1974 in Cyprus and during 1919 in Izmir, Armenians did to Turks during 1915, or the Christians to Muslims during crusades.
  18. I think you are using word monstrous as "i]large scale[/i] right? Not as evil act. Because I think PearlHarbor raid can be justified easier than the nuke bombing. USA was an important player in WW2 even before entering it. All the fronts are equally evil in my mind. Because all of them entered to war in hopes of getting stronger by stealing from other. Politicians and people back in that era were still thinking as they're in age of empires. In WW1 when OttomanEmpire lost the war. The winning side wasnt interested in peace or anything. All they want is resources, that's why they forced Turk authorities with not-acceptable peace treaties even after Turks gave up all their goals. In WW2... Japan was in no-condition to fight back but also no way near to accept un-acceptable treaties. That's why they were nuked. I cant easliy blame USA politicians. After all, they lost so many resources because of Japan and if Japan were to victorious they would too try something similiar. As I said, back in days we, humans are all bad. I hope we are better now. In conclusion today's people and leaders should never think the option of targeting civilians, never again. The Hiroshima is a sin for all man kind. Admit it, we would all hit the red button to save our butts. We could even do worse things during war times. But what it hurts me most. Today some people dont see Hiroshima as a bad thing and I even remember a person saying "I like Bush because he's kind of man who dont afraid to use the nukes again if necessary." Maybe he's a extreme example but still more or less there are people still thinking a nuke as an option. Something like a nuke can only be necessary if alien mothership on its way to enslave humanty. Oh, oh... Why is the 2nd bomb? To send a message of "yeah, we can redo it again and again"
  19. Most missionaries arent that clean.
