  1. I FINALLY managed to get 2 pages on my site to be W3C compliant! My main errors are that I don't have a doctype tag, and charset. Some errors are also that I didn't specify the type with JavaScript or CSS. That helped me get those two compliant.
  2. No matter how hard I try, my pages are NEVER W3C compliant...I always get errors, and tons of other things. I even one time put in EXACTLY what it wanted, and still got an error. It's irratated me so much, I've given up on even TRYING to get my site W3C compliant. I'm sure most people don't have that problem though.
  3. There's another way to do that, but it's still the same thing: <a href="javascript:history.back(1);">Back</a><a href="javascript:history.go(-1);">Back</a> That one just doesn't use the # in the code. I think JavaScript is the only way to do that (Correct me if I'm wrong). If I made a mistake, please let me know, as I don't normally use this code.
  4. I mainly use the internet for web designing. I also use it for chatting on instant messengers, forums, and other things. I don't really use the internet much anymore, but I still do. I occasionly use it for homework. Sometimes, I may use it for other things, but that's mainly it.
  5. I picked Invision Power Board, but it is the only one I've ever used. I like the features it has, and I've never had a problem with it (I have, but it was my own fault...), and other reasons. I've used IPB for so long...I don't really want to try any other forums.
  6. Actually, I think with CSS, the comments hides it for browsers that don't understand CSS. I think it works like it does with JavaScript. I could be wrong, though. I've never used comments with CSS.I use that code with my site, but it doesn't work with Firefox, so I don't see them.
  7. I sorta knew that already. I (along with my friends I chat with) make many typos when I type, and yet I read over them as if they were all spelled correctly. It's really cool what the human mind can really do when you think about it. It's just really werid...I had no difficulty reading that at all...
  8. I never really expected to get that one! A lot of people seemed to be a .exe! This quiz is pretty cool. Although...I wouldn't say my life's pretty scripted.... I'd never heard of the OS it said I was...I forgot what it was, so I can't say.
  9. Yeah, with Service Pack 2 there is. I still wouldn't use IE unless I'm at school or somewhere else, though. I've heard Opera's pretty good, but I'm still going to stick to Firefox. It's working fine for me, and I don't really need many extra features.
  10. I have a TON of e-mail accounts (Now it includes abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzabcdefghijk.com ). That's ONE LONG e-mail address! I bet it really is the longest in the world! I doubt I'd ever get e-mail there...too long. Even if I told my friends, they'd forget...still. It's kinda funny! I still like Gmail better, though.
  11. It's not a pop-up, and it's not caused by spyware. It's some sort of bug in IE (or Windows XP). It's happened on most XP's with IE 6 that I've been on. Usually, the only way to end it is through the task manager. Even then, it may still lock up your computer. That usually happens to me when I try to close IE. That's part of the reason I switched to Firefox. I don't know why it happens, though. It would probably help if you switch to a better browser.
  12. Hmmm...a TV Show forum. I'd post there for sure! That's a pretty good idea (So is the one about complaining about a cancelled show...I'd complain about Hamtaro getting cancelled...). Hopefully, they'll add that idea. Seems other people think it's a good idea, too!It does seem that the Simpsons is very popular...I don't watch it much, but I do watch it. I wouldn't consider it the most popular show in the world, though. There's probably a show more popular (I'm just guessing, though).
  13. It figures they'd have viruses for phones too! Good thing mine doesn't have that on it! It's weird how a cell phone can have a virus, when you think about it...I usually just associate viruses with humans and computers, not phones. At least they're going to have an antivirus program for the phones, because who knows how well the virus can spread (Seems to spread really well, if they're using that...blue tooth thing. Anyway, I don't know all that much about using that type of stuff with cell phones, but at least it can only come on that one type of file (At least I think it's just it...)
  14. I just make 1 or 2 posts a day (Sometimes more), and I have about 14 hosting credits. I'm not that active, but I still am, and I don't spend NEAR that much time on here (Unless I have nothing else to do), and I don't worry the least that my hosting will be terminated. As long as you post about once a day, that can help you some.
  15. You can get the shoutbox from http://invisionize.com/. They also have many other mods for IPB. There's also skins, and other things available for downloading. I hope that answers your question. (I think the arcade may be found there, too).
  16. Well, some people may just want to make money from having ads, instead of being forced to put them on. You see, you can put them where you want, if they give you code to put on your page (Unless they say otherwise). Some people just want to try to make as much money as possible from having ads. I do like how Xisto allows an ad-free site, but some people also may put ads on their site hosted by Xisto to help them make some money. The reason people put ads on their pages may vary from person to person.I'm going to look at that site, and, if I'm old enough (I can't use Google AdSense, too young), I may sign up. It sure sounds interesting!
  17. If ther was no internet...I'd probably be really bored, or something. Also, I couldn't be creative at ALL (I'm not that creative, but working on my website is a way for me to be creative, and it's the only thing I'm actually SOMEWHAT creative with.) Also, I wouldn't be able to chat with other Hamtaro fans (None around where I'm at...anyway, you don't wanna hear me talk about Hamtaro...) Just thinking of their being no internet is creepy, VERY creepy! It's hard to even think about!
  18. There will be bad times, if what you posted wasn't spam, then (as was already stated), it could have been an error with the script. Also, Xisto is a VERY GOOD host! I'm gonna stay here for as long as possible! I think it's a very great site, that's watched very carefully by the moderators (and OpaQue). Just remember this: Everything on this site was designed by a human, and humans make mistakes, so a program they make can also make a mistake.

    50 Invites?

My invites haven't gone up...I still have 48 left. Probably a small bug in Gmail's invite system. I have no idea when (if theydo), Gmail goes public. I also hope not, then, it'd be impossible for new people to get a good name, possibly more spam, and other problems. Yeah, Gmail is pretty fast, I'm veryimpressed with Gmail.
  20. Wow! That's a lot of hits for just one day! Lucky! My site gets NO WHERE near that...mine's just about 10 a week. Also, that's still surprising that that much bandwith was used within one day! At least you checked your logs, to see if it wasn't a problem.
  21. That's so funny, it's very hard to believe it really happened. It's funny when computer-illiterate people think something such as PHP is a something bad...They shouldn't assume that stuff. Still, that is pretty funny!
  22. Cpanel is also loading on my computer pretty slow. It doesn't normally load this slow, but the server may have a huge load on it, may be getting repaired, or many other problems that could cause it to load slowly. Just wait a while, and cpanel will load up...eventually.
  23. I also hate Geocities. Too low bandwith, too many file restrictions, no PHP and MySQL, and many others, plus there's ProHosting (Annoying banner ads on EVERY PAGE, some even interfered with certain layouts of mine.) They also had many FTP problems for a pretty good while.
  24. Mine are:Web Designing (Seems to be about the same as a lot of people here)Playing Tennis (Whenever possible, I don't get to much)Playing my GameCubeWatching HamtaroAnd well, that's just about all I can think of...
  25. Some people may not be able to use their ISP's e-mail. Some of us may be young, and their ISP won't allow them to have multiple accounts. Also, some ISP's don't offer webmail (More are now, though), and with free e-mail accounts, you can usually check them from anywhere in the world.
