I made a site for my band 2 Days From Yesterday. I made the site completely from scratch and i need some reviews. i just opened it publicly and am looking for people to join. Plz register, as i will be updating and adding more private pages like downloading pages and whatnot. Plz review and critisize, but read some of the topics first so i dont hear repeats of "why doesnt this work, or why do i need to login". its in the forums, thats where i explained the probs.. thnx.http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

i have a couple probs. first off, the one im most concerned with is that i applied for a hosting upgrade 2 days ago and i still havent got any word back. Should i just redo it?, can anyone tell me if the admins actually got it?. I really need the upgrade. my second question is, what is my MySQL Host URL??? i need it for a login page, it asks this id be much appreciated thnx.

very true, good may come, but the chance is still there. chance in life is good because great things may come of it, but chancing with such high stakes is not wise. maybe if he was on the front lines, maybe he would see the reality... its a shame so many have to die over this.

Ok, this is a mixed post, its a vent about stupidity, and its also an agreeal with a article from CNN... check it out Here. its a truely amazing article.. it brightened my day. if you havent realized yet, im very ANTI-Bush, probably because im very liberal (shocking huh?). well anywayz, bush finally got what he deserved, realization that only 37% approve of his presidential actions. i was truely impressed by cnn publishing it, they are good for showing both sides of stories. im now onto venting... The war oversee's is a joke now. im not trying to offend people by saying this because i will explain myself. im glad we took retaliation against a US threat, and im proud of how we executed our plans to take control against them (executed is an ironic term for the war isnt it?). We easily "took over" and aided them along their way to governmential reconstruction, and we have settled the cities down enough to do this.. but one comes to wonder, why the heck we're still over there.. we did our duties, we executed our orders, we accomplished our goals, but why still there.. some pro-war activists explain this is assurence that the revolting will cease and that we will keep aiding them back to health.. extremist anti-war spokesmen talk of emperialism, dominance, colonialism. Then theres people like me, (yes, there are people like me) who feel that the war is over, our battles fought, and now its time to come home.. we dont need to babysit them, its now THEIR problem, i think bush feels guilty now and he is trying to fulfill himself. First Reason for war? Weapons of mass destruction, haah i think not.. guess what dubya, there WASNT ANY. we lost money over paranoia, or was it, maybe it was all a conspiracy to get us to go to war... but what for?.. OIL, land, economy, PR, world relations, showing of strength.. whats a few US soldiers to a dictato. . ehem... president if he can get what he wants. How many zero's sit left of the decimal in our Debt's.... TOO MANY.. bush in my eyes is a failure as a president. or maybe, just maybe bush isnt to blame, maybe its our corrupted govt system that we say strains SOOO far from the others.... were no different than england... he just uses a different title.. he IS an absolute ruler (aka Master and cheif).. a President (someone with absolute rule (just about)) thats a topic that could take YEARS to cover. but thats my take, critism is acceptable, random hate @ me isnt. i like seeing 2 sides to the story, so plz post yours with some support with it plz. dont vent against my venting,, thats just stupid, and it will be ignored, by me atleast.

i may not have been here long so far w/ Xisto, but i know one thing, it is NOT hard to keep above sealevel with your credits. right now i have about 30 and i have a life. i spend maybe an hour on this a day, and usually im not even on the forums im usually working on my site and looking for help here too.. just making little posts here and there keep the credits quite high.. its not difficult either, all you have to do is just write about what interests you, or what DOESNt interest you and bitc. . . complain about it whilst usint correct language :-D... i maybe only post one or two things a day but its about something i can write about and it rakes in the credits like nothing.. also, learn to type fast, i average 135wpm, improve that, and you wont complain about it taking so much effort in making credits appear.... all this is prolly gonna get me about 3 credits, it took me all of 50 seconds, do the math, its not that hard.

yut, u just about summed it up lol. the site builder sucks horribly. i cant stand it at all, its just to unprofessional and gives a mediocre outcome. Their counters and guestbook wepcomponents are WAY to unstable and only work half the time. Geocities is only decent if you write all the code yourself or in frontpage and upload the files there, bypassing the site editor is CRUCIAL to make geocities tolerable. but worse of all, what REALLY drove me away from them is the ads.. its not just ads, its a complete takeover of your site.. its geocites site with alittle bit of the users. its outragous how much they do to ruin your site, first off the domain name, then the popup, then the side bar that extends over half the site, its just stupid on their part because no one wants that.... it looks very unprofessional with all the ads and bars promoting a different site, why would you promote their site, you should be able to show your true potential with webproduction.. the limited bandwidth is tolerable, but the limited space provided isnt. its just too little and the service isnt that great.. the file manager is time consuming to work with even on a fast net speed. and the uploading process has a tendancy to fail ALOT.. if they provided a decent ftp: then i wouldnt be so angry with it, id just use WS_FTP and work locally. but anyways, thats my degrading input on geocites. tah tah

Thats reallly awsome.. she has to be realllllllllly smart. one comes to wonder how a girl or her age could obtain this knowlege of programming. Its not everyday that a 9yr old gets taught advanced computer languages. besides, a kid that old has a constant reign of ADHD, i dont see how she could sitt still and learn a "boring" language like that. C++ is even hard for adults and its unphathomable that a 9yr old could surpass them and into microsofts emporium. shes just aiding the monopoly (oops did i say that) ;-)

no offense, but maybe its only limited because YOU cant see beyond the "limits". as far as i see it, theres not that many limits at myspace.. fully customizable profiles equipt with HTML/CSS acceptance and no real upload or bandwidth limitations exept the number of pix you can have under your name, but if you look hard enough, thats easy to get around (just put them in your pro itself). Ability to play .mp3, .wav, .wma, .mpg, .mp4, .avi, and flash animation is an open feild of customizability. The page isnt "locked" in its format, the tables, or the link buttons are ALL changable with enough code and time. Ive been on myspace for a long time and its quite entertaining.. Knowing people from all different countrys. I mean seriously, i met people on myspace that went to my school and i never even knew they existed if it wasnt for their browse page. The bands pages are AMAZING, hearing different styles, unsigned bands, undiscovered artists.. i myself am in a band and our page is up (even though i just link to my webpage here) but without myspace, we'd still be a local no-named band. Its a place to showoff your webdesigning skills. People write their blogs there, showcase pix, graphix, music, their own sites, ANYTHING they want and people will see it. ?!?... thats just eff-d up. the licking of the shoes a little on STRANGE side. and i agree with him ^ that i dont think special needs kids would do that.. but regardless of that, its still really strange and that school needs help, i think the teacher is in need of the special help and the kids need to learn nun-ism so they dont grow up to be "special needs" sex offenders, even though nowadays if you have "special needs" or are challenged, you can get away with anything.

lol, i had that similar question come up a couple weeks ago. i had NortonAV and McAfeeAV installed at the same time for some reason. They have HUGE conflicting problems, they destroy the programs basically, and it WILL mess up your computer.. i would NOT suggest to install two AV's in the same box. Cost me a pretty penny to get it fixed. Id get a version of ZoneAlarm AV. or if u hate software, you can get a AlphaSheild AV, its hardware. i use both AS and ZA, its ok becuase on is a traffic monitor and one is a scanner, hardware and software.

Hello there. I know a thing or two about moderating forums, i have held upper positions on other peoples sites and have been quite successful. I would be able to monitor the forum almost all the time. All i ask in return is some sort of link back to my page http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ . i know my share of shells, php, html, xml, and its easy to generically moderate a forum post. The forum itself looks great, alot of good topics that will probably return success. If you would like me to watch over and remove the spam, unrelevence, and any other material that shouldnt be there id be glad to, its up to you though. ive already signed up on your forum and have checked it out a bit and shall make a few posts in a minute. i must admit, the topics are very good and well described. whether i become mod or not, ill still be a member because of the forums content. good job. Very well put, just a few missing from each collumn tho, like the new interface. i CANT STAND the new way it looks, it scrolls weird and it seems to never be a good zoom in/out place to play. Because of the game size it takes a fast comp to couter attack the lag generated. The scroll of side to side and up and down is a big sketchy too, it has a bad reaction speed to the users requests (eg: moving units) . . . also i HATE the fact that there is no right click feature. But on the bright side. . . the game is ALOT more realistic to modern and past life of the world. Im not religous, but im very glad that they incorporated this feature in gov't systems and the AI. its a part of history, theres no two ways about it, im glad they realized it. Contraversial?. . . yes, but that keeps the world interesting. i also like the new animated wonder creation videos. It seems a little confusing though about the overlapping units, its hard to tell if u have multiple units on the same area, theres no real indication theres multiple units. As far as the voice of sid meiyr's, its ok, but he's right, its kinda creepishly seductive. the music is no where close to as good as CIV3. All in all, i like the CIV3 interface and viewmodes better, but as far as truthfullness to history, and graphics . . . CivIV all the way... Pe@cE

THNX 2 the repliers and tutorials submitted ALOT... id been searching forever to find a good tutorial to get my login page to work.. i ended up using PUMA.. i recommend that program to ANYONE AND EVERYONE.. that is an amazing utility, very user friendly, and customizable.. thnx again to everyone..

hey, i live in Vermont, USA and im no able to get a grouded wire like cable or dsl.... so i got Satellite DW6000 (540kbs) but i have a realllly slow upload speed (80kbs).

Thnx for the Suggestionsyea, umm.. i have NO idea why firefox isnt displaying the graphical interface of the HTML. if anyone has a cure for this plz post back, id love to be able to fix this. thnx for all the comments and suggestions, i will take these to heart. Could someone post a tutorial or just a description of how to make a popup in HTML so visitors can chose a Hi-Fi or Lo-Fi version of the songs?, that would be great. I tried to keep the file sizes down becuase of the dial-upers. Ill be adding more pix throughout the site and i will deffinately make the tables to add text w/ pix, (thnx for the suggestion). Ill be updating quite frequently. and thnx for the domain links, i cant stand .tk, it annoyes me to death with the popups. Ill be moving the counter to the bottom as suggested and creating a logo inplace of it, a band logo. Ill be adding some edited pix just for fun, and i shall be changing the link (active and not) colors around a bit, same for the "to the top" one. Im gonna be adding a mouse text tail soon as well and my main goal for now is to get a link so people can download the .wma files of the songs. once thats established i will limit the streaming audio. i have a band called 2 Days From Yesterday and we needed something to do with our time, so we made a site for us. My community is rather boring i guess. Vermont isnt the most exciting place on this earth. Theres been 3 shootings this week so far, and they have all been within 5 miles of my house, kinda messed up because there hasnt been a shooting here in 23 years before this week. and guess what, it was all drug related lol, another problem that isnt common up here. SNOW is almost here too, im psyc'd to go snowboarding this year, get sum mad air, thats all VT's good for, snowboarding. the end of skateboarding has come and now i must move on to the next era. well thats the news for st. Very nice, that should clear up alot of questions. Even though it was mentioned in previous posts. i have a question of my own though relevent to this. What happens when you dont sustain it ? do you lose your site completely (deleted) or do you have a change to redeem yourself in some way to re-earn your site back?, i think it would be somewhat unfair if you just lost your site that took forever just because you didnt have the time or credits.

I will admit, Dreamweaver is a great webdesign utility, but it has its downsides.. Its not very user friendly to begin with, most people would start off using dreamweaver without somesort of help or tutorial. Its also very time consuming, compared to the alternatives.. I use Frontpage or just HTML in a notepad. Frontpage in my opinion is the best website creator out there, its user friendly, and cuts the time in a half. both are very good creators but if u need a good job done quick and easy, use frontpage, but otherwise for a great prostyle page, and if u have the time, the Dreamweaver is perfect.

well first off, halo is a thousand times better than counterstrike. Microsoft may dominate the OS, but they have millions of flaws in their OS's and i prefer Linux, and i agree with you that microsoft isnt all that great in the gaming feild.. but BUNGI is. HALO is an AMAZING game, CS isnt. thats the end. more excitment, more options, and more gameplay time.. simply better.

hey, thnx alot. ive been looking for a way to create membership logins. sql is quite confusing to me tho. i love the Xisto's webhosting interface, its very easy to navigate, im just not that experienced with sql, just html.

lol im all set on 3d ImageCreation, but i check out this proggie anywayz. It has a verrrry similar interface to Rhinocerus 3.0(professional 3d'ing software) and it is very user friendly (unlike rhino lol). This is a very good program for beginners or the short-of-cash people. Its a really good leaning/starting program for ImageCreation. Easy to use and cheap, and its a decent program, id refer it to people.

Those games are ALL EPIC!. SuperMarioBros was byfar the best most addicting game ever made. i have 10,000 ROM Emulators on my XboX, and i think of the 80 New Games loaded, i play super mario more than all of them. Donkey Kong is another classic game that scores high in my book. New games may have better graphix and 3Dism, but SuperMarioBros has the origionality and simplicity all new games have evolved from. Its so easy, but so fun and simple that it cant be shunned. Another AMAZING game is Commander Keen, that was a game of greatness. Once again, classic simplicity outranks newer complex games by far.

hey, i have PaintShopPro 9 and its AMAZING!!!. CS2 is really good as well but i prefer the PSP9 becuase of its interface and menu options. i use those in coolation w/ a 3d Creation Program called Rhinocerus and AutoCad2006, it makes the imagery soooo much better.. CS2 is better for extended Effects, the PSP9 is better for color alteration, clarity, and creation. well im done for now..
