Why I Don't Believe In Global Warming
grim reaper1666 replied to dangerdan's topic in Science and Technology
governments are complaining about the ice caps melting but they are just left over from the last ice age so do they really think that we should be bothered about that. if they are so bothered about the sea level rising then why don't they put the extra water into tough water tanks and send them into space. have them orbiting around the earth. that would solve the sea rising and if we need the water we can bring it back down and use it. problem solved and if they are bothered about a glacier melting why those things shaped the present day earth made it what it is today this is the natural occurance of things so the governments need to get a life instead of fiddling with fiqures for their own personal gain. -
too bad we couldn't find a way of using the earths magnetic field to generate power, have stations which pick up power from the field and transfer them in a smallo distance over cables to the nearest town. you could have a power plant only a mile from a town. i would treat it more as a power pick plant instead of a actual one which generates electricity.

Space Exploration (nasa= Good/bad)
grim reaper1666 replied to wua05's topic in Science and Technology
well space travel could prove to be very important, what if in 20 years a big rock comes towards the earth then everyone goes i knew we shouldn't have stopped space travel. then we all die because of money issues. i mean in the end the money would be destroyed by the big rock so if people are saying budgets should be cut because of money concerns then you are just trying to capitalise on something which would inevitably some day save the human race. it would also allow us to expand past our own planet and reach alien civilasations. don't say that there is no other life in the universe we have only discovered about 5% percent of the universe so really that is not enough proof against humans being the only life in the universe. sure that could be swung the other way but that still not proof of that either. -

Help! What Are The Signs Of A Bad Graphics Card?
grim reaper1666 replied to nightfox1405241487's topic in Hardware Workshop
make sure that you have a case fan or more than one to make sure that the system gets the required cooling that it needs otherwise you will end up during games getting that random restart. i remember when i bought my 9600gt the case got hot enough to fry bakcon on it, that kept the flies away during gaming anyway. when i then installe dthe case fan it runs cools the case doesn't teach the flies a lesson anymore so i bought a bug zapper. that also greatly improved the performance in games like grand theft auto 4 and crysis. i m talking about grand theft auto 4 a few updates back when it was holier than the pope. so make sure that you check if you have a case fan. also if you do have a case fan check where it is, if its at the bottom make sure it is injecting air into your system. but if it is at the top then make sure that it is exhaling the air from your system. because as you should know heat rises and usually having one fan at the top is more effective than one at the bottom because as the hot air is kicked out of your case the cold air has a natural tendicy to be invited to the party, then when that air gets drunk and angry its kicked out and thats the important thing about a case fan it does so many things for you computer at such a little cost. -
do you want to know how i improved the cooling on my computer i took a screw driver and widened the vents as well as fitting a fan which didn't cost me anything since i ahve a big box of old computer parts in the loft. good thing is fan cables have not changed in ten years and i needed the cooling because my 9600 gt was producing alot of heat when i played any high end game and that caused lag now with the cooling fan and the widened vents it has improved permformance. that goes to show that cooling can have a positive impacts on permformance. because if you can get it to run at that optimal temperture everything runs like it should and it doesn't waster power trying to cool it self with only the cpu and gpu fans.

when you think about it developing technology is evolution we are making new ways to survive but i think to fully survive we are going to have to get peace afterall war has no long term benefits. The afgan war is a waste of time the british in the 1800s fought 3 afgan wars and didn't win a single one of them. that was when britain was a major world power with the largest empire in the history of the world.well like you said nano technology would be a great advantage to humans exosuits would be good aswell have robotics fitted to them using nano technology, but make it so it only works if you are in the suit so it takes commands from your brain just like when your brain gives commands to your own body parts. we would also have nano technology enhancing us much like in crysis it would be able to increase or endurance. we might even be able to develop teleportation sometime in the future.

You Don’t ‘fit’ Dinosaurs With The Bible!
grim reaper1666 replied to 8ennett's topic in General Discussion
don't you hate one sided people who believe so fully in the bible that they refuse to listen to any other opinion they say that we don't have proof for our theories. but they don't have proof for their theories they are just hipocretes who think that the bible was written by god, well it is not even in the bible it states that it is not written by god. it is written by numerous people hence the names of the chapters in the new testement.each one of those is named after the person who wrote that chapter so no one say that god wrote the bible because even the bible states otherwise. also don't try and say the earth is only 6,000 years old. it was afterall some relgious guy who decided to add up the ages of the people who wrote the bible to get to that number so straight away that falls apart. evolution has alot of evidence the human like remains that have been found where they are close to being full human but also have ape like aspects so that shows how evolution has occurred. you can't even say that evolution can't happen because we still have apes. that is not true the apes of today evolution of a seperate branch of pre human monkeys. sure there is the gap in the fossil record that you could try and say disproves evolution but fossiliation is rare which means that it does not. the dinosaurs part in the bible read carefully and it says animals. if i remember correctly a dinosaur is a type of animal so they do fit in with the bible. -
You Don’t ‘fit’ Dinosaurs With The Bible!
grim reaper1666 replied to 8ennett's topic in General Discussion
i have a problem with this for starters the bible is not writen or revealed by god it is simply written by normal people, they talk about the 7 days of creation but did you know that at the time when this fancy toliet paper was written the word day had a meaning similar to age. and as we know an age is an incredibly long amount of time its billions of years sometimes so most of the book of genesis is not to be taken literally you know. has any religious person stopped to think that the book of fakesis was just created to give people someones theory on what happened. you can't say that because its in the bible its true. thats like saying a dog is a cat. you've got to stop being biased heck i m not i see somethings in the bible are similar to the events of the big bang. it is just basically in places a opinion on what might of happened. i do history at college and that has taught me to never rely on one source. never put your money inone bank sort of case , you don't want them going bankrupt. -
i think that we will be able to access telepathic abilities afterall we do have areas in our brains which are capable of it but are just dormant. someday those areas would wake up and allow us to pick up objects with out minds, read other peoples minds amoung other stuff. The human mind as we know is the most complex organ in the human body it is impossible at this point in time for us to create computers at that level of complexity. we don't even know alot about our won brains at the moment.we are still only 3% different than monkeys in our DNA which shows us the difference between humans and monkeys is not great yet we are the dominant species on the planet. as well as biological advancement the human race has achieved many technological advancements which have helped aid our civilasation and we have longer lifespans than when we used to live to an age on average of 30.

i use no cd cracks for all the games i have bought for 3 reasons. 1, so the disc don't get scratched, 2, makes the game play faster since the drive isn't spinning during the game saving power consumption, and 3, i can't lose the disc by doing this. theres no law against using a no-cd patch as long as you own the game it is just a backup of the game without actually making a copy of the disc the game is insalled from the disc.

through command prompt on windows 7 you can also enable the administrator account i will tell you how. first go to the folder where cmd.exe is which is c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe right click run as administator. then type "net user administrator /active:yes" without the quotes. then go to switch users and you should see the administrator account. go on there and if you plan on keeping it active then put a password on it. afterall you don't want anyone finding their way into your admin account and changing your password. *looks at a prankster of a friend* make sure that you have a good anti virus and anti spyware as with this there is some UAC execeptions. i have noticed that with this i can have 2 accounts logged on at the same time.so enjoy using this by the way if you want to deactivate the admin account follow the same steps as above but at this line "net user administrator /active:no" use no instead of yes which will deactivate that account.-grim reaper1666

Half Life 2/Steam WTF? ....
grim reaper1666 replied to l337 Nurse Pedestrian's topic in Computer Gaming
with steam the best trick is now just get the orange box and it will install it on that and you just use that on your steam account, you can save alot of time depending on your internet speed by which i mean the amount of time it would take steam to download it. i have got thinking from this though i might get smod tactical. another thing which you will need to remember is once your game is updated you do not need to have online to play single player half life 2 the only thing which is online is deathmatch and i do not think that you have anything to worry about there. -
include paragraphs i got fed up of reading that i read the first few lines create a paragraph every 4-6 lines mkaes it much eaisere to read. like this and because i ve quoted it i am not getting credit for that copy and paste.

Dragons Were They Really Alive?
grim reaper1666 replied to ZeroHawk's topic in Science and Technology
it did say on that program that they found an organ in that dragon fossil that was used to collect hydregen that came of the food which inflated and made the dragon lighter, as proved with blimps that use hydrogen hydrogen is less dense than oxygen or nitrogen so it has a natural tendicency to decrease the grip gravity has on you and means you need less lift to fly. they also stated that the dragons used platinum to light the hydrogen meaning that they could breathe fire. don't forget if a creature evolves to say brethe fire than it is bound to have a protection against its own fire. -
the first thing any robots should have is prime directives, think of robocop he has rules which he has to obide by if he doesn't then he gets shutdown. so you program a robot never to harm any human, if it does hardcode a shutdown procedure on the event of this which also sends out a tracking beacon to the manufacturer who then comes and picks up the defective robot fixes it then scan the whole system for erors in other robts. also robots should never have their AI connected to one and another to prevent the possiblity of one robot changing the directives to for example never leave a human unharmed. also laws should applied to any robot (with human level or higher intelligence) so that they are not allowed to break the law. maybe ones who are not as smart as humans as long has they have the capability to break laws. there should also not be any central system after all you don't want a central server getting a virus which it then sends as an upgrade to all of the other robots. connections going in and out should be firewalled so if a cloud server (which would work better than one central server) would not be able to send out any updates that are actually a virus. the virus and spyware/ whatever scan results would be checked over by a team of scientists then their checking would be checked over by another team of scientists. also all updates would have to approved by 3 teams of programmers (to make a virus doesn't get coded into the update).you would want to make sure that no insane robots gets created either i'd soem prime directives should be. 1, do not harm any human 2, protect humans 3, do not ignore directives 1 and 2.

dont forget for starters it was a theory and as we know if you make a theory you should test it to make sure its right. testing always comes in handy otherwise it would be like calling a apple a chocolate bar when there a big difference between the two. some thing is not right just because your smart it needs testing and in a way thats what einstein did tested his theory found his mistakes and fixed them.

Are You A Math Addict? this is REAL numb3ers
grim reaper1666 replied to Sim0ne's topic in Science and Technology
they have certantly left out alot of numbers so not every number has something unique about them. infact it is probally 5 in every 100 numbers that don't have anything unique about them. there is a big conflict with your post. enjoy testing my post and i didnt even look at all of the numbers to work this out and the 5/100 is more of a average so don't take it literally. -
this topic just confuses me there is nothing that actually has a link to the information on this it would be easier if there was. there isn't anything thats can work against gravity rockets and planes just create a large amount of thrust to get of the ground. the space shuttle alone goes between mach 10 and mach 25 when breaking out of the atmosphere. thats 7680 mph - 19200 mph. that is just some imense speed so that can't be counted as a anti-gravity because gravity still effects it. anti gravity has to disobey gravity with out generating upward thrust. even repelling magnets don't count as tested on mythbusters.

Team Fortress 2 Scout More specifically, scout.
grim reaper1666 replied to wrecksan's topic in Computer Gaming
thats a cool stragety guide, i m sure it will help me beat all of the other players when i play as a scout. i like going on the achievement maps and going to the basketball court and using the energy drink because he gets infinite energy and you can not be killed there and it is just ace. all the other noobs try and shoot you but they smash their keyboards when they can't. -
Scientology? What is Scientology?
grim reaper1666 replied to RichieRich1405241538's topic in General Discussion
scientology is not a religion it is a cult. they are tax exempt but they force you to donate millions to them and everything there cost moeny. children are forced to work long hours for little pay, adults don't get minimum wage. they hate peaceful protesters they start to follow you around if you speak up against them. thats why anonymous is protesting against them all of the policies they have. by the way in germany they are not allowed in because they view to look too like nazis doesnt that show you what they are really like. -
you do release the book of genesis is not meant to be taken literally it is only a description of how the bibel who wrote the bibel thought things could have happened its not a literal explanation. taking that into to account of that the events might not have taken place like that another thing is about the book of genesis is that it says in 6 days but at the time when the book of genesis was written day had the same meaning of age and as we know age is a really long time. (i mean age like ice age)

Einstein Quiz Can you solve this problem?
grim reaper1666 replied to doctor's topic in Science and Technology
yeah i got bored of trying to do and went of and played a game instead. i don't see any real point in trying an outdated blunder back then it was 2% but now its more like 50% or even more because generally humans are getting smarter. i have been watching your race for thousands of years. jk. well we have come a long way since the dark ages now if it wasn't for religion then we would have been more technologically advanced by now. but well its too bad and im only saying that because during medieval times people didn't want change because it went against religion. -
everyone should post ideas of what they would like to see in runescape and then anybody whos a member on runescape here could go to the runescpae forum and suggest them. my idea would be that they should introduce houses for non-members because i hae the fact that i used to have a house and now i m not a member i can't gain access to it. it would be really great if i could manage to access my house it is a cool place to hang out in. meet with my mates spend a while enjoying myself in my house and now i am not allowed to go in which is completly unfair. who here agrees with this idea?
