I need to know more about VMWare server before i set it up, do i need to setup windows xp after i setup VMWare such like Win4Lin?, or does VMWare acts like a platform so i just set up windows applications on it such as WINE?

It's not a matter of hardware or a matter of stupidty, it's a matter of needing to get both system working all together, i'm not a windows lover, but as i explained i'm forced to use it, i hope that VMware is able to have windows and all its applications installed, i'll go make a try now.

WINE is a pretty good for runing "some" aplications, but it doesn't run all windows applications, specially these which we need, we are stocks, metals and FOREX traders, so we need to run our trading applications such as Meta Trader 4, Meta Stock 9, Mubasher Stocks Terminal, Microsoft Money 2006 and much more of this kind of applications that we are working on, ofcourse Linux is the best but still we need that **** called microsoft windows because not all companies have the abillity to make applications that could run on Linux platforms, sooner or later, they should make it or they will not be able to continue serving that increasing number of people using Linux, till that day we will be forced to use windows or to search for applications such as Win4Lin to run our work, so still searching for it and any help in that will be appricated.

I would like a reason for that after these reasons yordan added, as he nearly covered all reasons for such a problem that happens always to microsoft holes "windows": 4) after installing windows and before updating it or installing Service Pack 2 you will get some nasty popup windows that give your pc a hit with some viruses and spyware applications, some of them leads your pc to close or restart in main time it allows you to close your applications in that time like 30 seconds or a minute, you can do something to enforce your pc not to restart or shutdown automatically by:- a) click on start button and click on run type in the run prompt "shutdown -a" if it shut down automatically and "restart -a" if it restarts your pc automatically. c) click ok or press enter and then you can go safely install or update your firewall/anti-virus/anti-spyware. I just downloaded it today, it's really fantastic, it was a surprise to me to find it included in automatix new version, it's really cool and perfect though it's in the beta phase still, i think they will add more powerfull tools to it, and i think also it's anpther proof that they will release gubuntu soon after they denied it Google, Linux and Xisto ROCK!!!

I just find it while browsing ubuntu dapper guide today http://ubuntuguide.org/wiki/Dapper, it's a very nice powerfull tool to run windows 9x, me, nt and xp on linux, u can say good bye to dual boot if u have this tool, u can run windows and all its applications from linux using this software, the problem is it's not free as we used to when using linux and most of its applications, i know it's not so expensive it's for 69.99$ as it appears on thier website http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ my question : is there any other software "free one" that does the same work?, if anyone has a solution like this please post it here for importance, i need it on my network as most people here use windows, while we have so much work on our lovely Linux.

Hey mate, are you really talking about Ubuntu???, did you try it yourself or just you heared that from another one??? 1- who said that ubuntu hasn't root account?? it has, but you need to configure it, by entering adminstration menu, choosing user groups, type root, search, properities, the put the password you want to use as it puts a random password by default, and apply it, then you need to get to welcome menu setup, and apply root to login in from graphical interface such like any other user. 2- since when doesn't it have mozilla firefox and openoffice.org?? it comes with openoffice.org2 by default, and it installs it by default, second, you can download firefox if u don't have it installed, though it comes with it installed by default. sorry, never heared something like that about ubuntu

I just ordered Linux Ubuntu TLS, the newest version, i ordered 10 CD's from thier official website, i just recieved them yesterday, they are really so good, i ordered 10 to use them at my LAN and my home PC's, thought that i need a copy for each PC, but i discovered that i haven't to have a CD for each PC, so i decided to distrbute them in my area, as i don't want to be like those who order just to order, though i paid tax here , but i gave away 8 CD's to my friends so we can spread Linux, specially this distro which i like, Ubuntu.

You are completely right, i left so much games just because they require me to go on playing for a long time, i can't do that because i'm a forex trader that requires me to be alerted all the time, so more delays is better than keep on playing all the time, remember that guy died of playing games in an internet cafe in South Korea?

Macromedia Dreamweaver is one of the best programs to create a web site or even just a homepage, i agree with you that it's one of the greates programs, but not so easy or simple for a newbie if you compare it with other WYSIWYG like NVU or even microsoft frontpage "though this one full of errors and bugs when it comes to tables or frameset".Dreamweaver is not cheap ofcourse comparing to NVU which is a free easy and simple one, but anyway i belong to the classic scholl with notepad, just i upgraded it to notepad++ and that works for me, no need for already-made templates and so on. i was using frontpage for a long time till i stopped that and moved to macromedia dreamweaver which really gave me whatever i want from a smart editor, specially with these functions you talked about like Flash buttons and easy switching between code, split and design view, it's a cool one, though i suggest you to go with just a free notepad, so much cheaper, huh?

ofcourse i used all microsoft holes "windows previously" versions, i was going ok with windows 98 SE and windows 2000, they are both were ok to me, i used since the early one windows 3.11, i used windows millinium and now i'm forced to use windows XP because of some accounting work which i need Microsoft Money to finish it, i used even both profissional and home edition, you can say nearly used all microsoft products, never got rest with any of it, but the best one of these bad products was windows 2000, it's more stable, more secured "though it's full of holes", more safer for resources and much faster than windows xp but at all, i would advice you to throw microsoft products out from your machine and you will begin to get your pc at the best case, specially with linux, it's just an advice, no offense. Microsoft ages over, LINUX ROCKS

Yeah, freeware doesn't give you the maximum power, some just scans and tell you to buy thier software in order to remove the infected files "a cheat which i hate", even they don't do that, they will not give you the power you need. Personally when i use microsoft holes "windows at past" i use Zone Alarm Security Suite, it's the best one i think, gives you an anti-virus, anti-spyware and a very good firewall, it's not so expensive and it gives you the maximum power to control the contents which get into or out from your pc, i really prefer it to any other software, it doesn't require you to make a new subscription every year like Norton which makes you unable to update your defentions till you pay more money, i prefer paid solutions, but i hate those who force you to pay.

LoL, that's right completely, this thing i noticed so much times before in software bugs fixing, all patches and updates come out with bugs in another side in the same software, ofcourse we will never forget microsoft windows lesson, they make a patch for security which makes u unable to excute some innocent files or it prevents media streaming or any other funny thing, then the make a patch to repare that which opens your ports for hackers and welcomes them In fact now everything is ok, the bug was solved already, my account has been activated and now working perfect, just your words woke up that asleep part in my mind, now waiting for the new bug that will appear in the system, checking my databases twice daily and so on... but i didn't mean to say Xisto is like microsoft or so microsoft sucks, Xisto ROCKS!

no, it's not 1 copy, each copy comes in one cd, they are 10 CD's for the same copy, coz i have a network here and i need nearly 6 copies, also some friends need some copies, never ubuntu came in more than 1 CD.

Don't worry, it was fixed completely, i was suspended already for going into negative, that means that this bug has been fixed already and that was really something i was happy to know, till this end we can say, happy end for this topic... But... after i posted some replies and topics and get into positive ranking, i got surprised, it doesn't allow my account to get back and be unsuspended again i tried with everything, noway. i think this bug is more dangerous than the last one. i will not act this position again "experments rabbit position" lol, but despite that and still Xisto ROCKS

Still i'm waiting for the free cd's i asked for, site says it takes nearly 2-6 weeks, now 4 weeks passed i think and still waiting for it, may they think 10 Cd's are so much

I didn't post all the last week just to get suspended, and finally i got it, just to check if the matter still on, but no, it's now working well, i'm already suspended now, lol, what a feeling!!!i was try to resist talking here all the last week just to try it, now it has been done, i can go now continue talking and saying blah blah congratulations admins, system is working again now.
