What Is The Best Antivirus Program?
Neverseen replied to silentkarma1405241502's topic in Security issues & Exploits
I have been using a different very popular Anti Virus that was purchased 9 months ago up to now.The reason is that I came across the Avast site just by chance, and the company feels that the only way to cut down on computer viruses is to provide the software free of charge for the home user. So I downloaded the software run it along side my other anti virus. Avast detected a Trojan Virus in a download which the other did not. Just to see that it was not a hoax I did an online scan with a 3rd Virus Package and the virus was found.Avast has really helped me out as I cannot afford virus software at present and is available to anyone. Avast also supply a licence that needs entering and the software is Valid for 14 months at which time you just re-register free again. There should be more companies like this, giving back to the community and also helping clean up the Net.I cannot thank Avast enough and would highly recommend checking out the site. Just type Avast in search and Bob's your uncle. Avast also have a virus cleaner if your system is infected and in turn isolates it.Keep up the good work Avast and thanks again. Finally I was very concerned that my Norton software is only 9months old, however did not detect a Trojan Delphi that I received 2 weeks ago which is a bit worrying!!!! Avast detected it straight away with Norton finally 3 days later :-( I also ran an online scan with the Panda Software which detected the virus straight away too. Still waiting for a reply from Norton as to why so slowwwwwww in detection. Still you can never be too safe and would recommend using Avast in addition although I'll use it as a Primary with Norton SECOND BEST. I seem to be receiving 1-2 updates per day from Avast which is also a good sign as normally with other software just 1-2 times per week. It is also very comforting when I hear the words "Your Database has been updated" which is done automatically when the settings are set. -

World of Warcraft is so well designed and thought out that there is simply no comparison to any other game of its kind. You can solo or you can group, each class has the ability to effectively solo itself right to level 60 (current cap). Classes that decide to party up benefit from faster experience and potential better item drops from more difficult quests. The music is fantastic, not a single track has disappointed me. The sound is orchestrated extremely well and has set a new standard for mmorpgs in that category.Gameplay is fun, the world is vast and large but its also designed so you can get around pretty easily and quickly. From high speed ships to teleportation the world of Azeroth is full of places to explore yet enables players to rendezvous within a reasonable amount of time (as far as mmorpgs are concerned). The requirements to play the game are not all too demanding. You can choose from a multitude of classes and jobs, the degree you can customize your character is so vast that it would be near impossible to find somebody exactly the same as yourself.Upgradable content is well done, Blizzard not only makes constant attempts to fix bugs but also adds new areas/dungeons/monsters in their updatesFun factor is amazing, the pace of the battle and the options you can do are fantastic. It's just a fun game to play because you can do so much by yourself and in groups. Raids and killing people of the opposing faction is great fun, makes for some wide scale assaults which further add to the fun factor. However the game has some bad points as well...Not all classes are balanced equally. Some trees in class skills are hugely unbalanced, leading to "cookie cutter" jobs where the masses more or less force you to play a particular role..As previously mentioned there are still bugs to fix. There's no real general story flow, just a series of small quests you can perform. No one person steers the flow of Azeroth and there doesn't seem to be a prime antagonist for either the Alliance or the Horde. There can be (and currently is imo) an unbalance of sides. Currently there are far more people playing the alliance side than there are people playing the horde side. This makes for some uneven PvP conflicts and tips the scales in PvP battles simply because there are more Alliance players than Horde. All in all I would say this is one of the best games i have ever played. It's most certainly the best PC game out there in my opinion. If you're interested in trying out a mmorpg (massively multiplayer online role playing game) I would most definitely recommend World of Warcraft as the top pick.

I still like the first song I heard from them... "Somewhere you belong". I also like 'Faint". But since I've heard 'Faint' I didn't listen to their music anymore. Because I actually prefere electronic music

Don't know about the video, but it's mostly an audio editing software which is intended for serious musicians and studio engineers. It's fun to use, but beginners may be intimidated at first. Designed to be the heart of a recording environment, SONAR can mix live audio, loops, MIDI, and CD tracks, and the resulting mix can be exported to MP3, WMA or RealAudio. Version 4 adds surround sound mixing and audio track editing.

There are 2 new features that really make this version stand alone from previous Battlefield’s. The new commander mode allows a person to basically “command” the battle from a top down standpoint (execute artillery strikes, give squads orders, etc). The other great feature, is the new command execution. Before, you had to use the F keys to execute a command to your team. Now, you simply point at a target, hit Q and click the appropriate command, and not only does it call out the command to your team, it highlights it on the map. The usability of this feature was REALLY thought out, as the most used command (Enemy Spotted) is selected by default, so you just have to hit Q + click at the same time. There are a couple of bugs however. For instance, every once and a while, if you capture a base, some teammates that now spawn there, will show up as enemies, and when you kill them, you will get a Teamkill. I racked up a wopping -27 score in about 30 seconds this weekend before realizing it. How this bug makes it through testing, is beyond me, but what makes me ok with it, is that EA/Dice are usually VERY fast in patching the game to fix these type of bugs. Another annoyance, is the Helicopter controls. Not only do the controls hardly respond while at full speed, they just feel fake overall. Anytime you angle the helo down, it speeds towards the ground at an incredibly fast rate. Sure, this might be realistic, but hardly easy to use in-game. But, I am extremely impressed with this game. If the full version proves as good as this demo, I would go as far to say that this is the game of the year.

I really love the game because of the way it combines the best of the best in terms of graphics, (although there are a few dodgy camera angles, but nothing is perfect) gameplay and music that will take you from a soothing melody to a quick and heavy tune. The only flaw, along with the camera angles is the story. The plot has a lot of twists and turns. The main character, Cloud Strife, a former member of an elite combat team working for the powerful electric company Shinra. But Cloud doubts himself a lot and is not 100% sure if he was in it. On Disc 1 you experience a flashback, but on disc two this happens again, both telling different sides of the story, but Cloud realises one of them, but I'm not going to tell you. Despite the size of that flaw, it is not as big as it may seem. It doesn't disturb the quality of the game. The FMV really does push the Playstation to the limit. What I really like is sometimes real-time game play is combined with FMV, giving you an oppertunity to control through half-cinema action sequence. I say half because the characters don't look as great as surroundings because they are moving. There are several great mini-games to play, like snow-boarding, motor-cycling and a sub-marine quest. These can all be re-played in an incredible theme park(and many more games)! You can even take a ride on a huge roller-coaster, and zap aliens at the same time! Final Fantasy VII is a huge game. It takes around 40 hours to complete it. But that doesn't involve breeding the cute and cuddly birds, called Chocobos. You have to breed them (racing, feeding and mating!) to receive great prices(and this takes from 10-20 hours)! For an extra challenge, you can take on the two strongest monsters in FF VII to receive more great prizes

For me, Silent Hill has always been a very special series. Whereas its `influence`, Capcom`s Biohazard (Resident Evil) series resorted to highly obvious monster-pops-out-of-nowhere tactics to scare its players, Konami`s take on the so-called survival horror genre offered a far different way to terrorize gamers. During the early days of the original Silent Hill`s development, I distinctly recall an interview whereby the team admitted that their goal was to depict hell itself; they had asked various individuals what their ideas of the devil’s playground were, and proceeded to use them. Furthermore any number of inspiration sources were consulted as well, books, movies, stories, etc. (In my own opinion, watching the late 1980`s movie Jacob’s Ladder offers a great deal of where the Silent Hill team got their ideas, especially in the DVD version’s deleted scenes). Silent Hill 4: The Room troubled me from the very first press announcement; Silent Hill 3 was still fresh in everyone’s minds when Konami brings word of yet another installment in the series, one which would be released not even a year after the last. The fact that very little in terms of graphical changes and techniques would be changed from Silent Hill 3 annoyed me, as well as the fact that (in my honest opinion), Silent Hill 3 was a truly horrible game through and through. Though I went into the release week of Silent Hill 4 with little hype, I obviously decided to give the game a chance hoping it would prove my pre-conceptions wrong. Stores were overstocked with copies of the game and the people I saw inside were hardly helping to deplete those supplies. I guess the thing is that, no one really cares about the Silent Hill series and hence the release are generally quite calm periods of time, unlike say, a Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, or Super Robot Wars game. To my great displeasure, everything I heared about Silent Hill 4 was indeed true if not worse, and makes for one of the most disappointing and downright annoying games I have ever played in my life.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, the most recent installment in a long running and extremely popular series of MGS games, not only does justice to the MSG legacy but has brought at least one gamer back into the fold. The opening sequence, or should I say mini-movie, was enough to have me hooked shortly after pressing start. The visuals in the game are quite stunning, the voice actors breathe life into each character, and the music score builds enough suspense, when needed, to have you on the edge of your seat. This latest publication definitely meets up to the high standard that MSG has set for the third person action adventure. The tutorial at the entrance of the game, though appreciated, seemed to take a little longer than needed for the basics of controls to be taught. Many of the more subtle aspects of control were left up to individual learning which I felt was good for developing a personal style of play. The menus, once learned, become very easy to navigate...The only issues I had with the game control may all be due to operator error, I must admit, but I thought I would mention them. First, Snake is prone to pressing up against walls when trying to rapidly maneuver around objects and walls to avoid detection which more times than not ended up in alarms sounding. Second, Snake can get stuck while maneuvering in the crawling position which could only be remedied by crouching and redirecting, fine when no one is looking, but caused some concern when popping up out of foliage with an enemy nearby. Lastly, and I think most importantly, is the fact that there are times that I would draw a weapon in anticipation of taking down a nearby enemy, but after having avoided detection releasing the firing button would pop off a round. All-in-all these are only minor gripes that are possibly all my own fault and they definitely do not overshadow the amazing game play as a whole

Im Goin Away, How Can I Keep My Account
Neverseen replied to Hunguyen's topic in Web Hosting Support
Hehe, that's what I was thinking about when I saw the topic -
Yes, San Andress is good, but it's lacking in something, something that made me love the 2 previous editions so much. It's not ripped off the great movies of the past and put them in the game while GTA3 had enough Godfather themes through it to make you feel as cool as Marlon Brando and Vice City had more than a pinch of Tony Montana, San Andreas is lacking in this and loses a little something. I also didn't particularly like Carl Johnson, I found him quite annoying and not very cool, unlike Tommy Vercetti who just oozed sheer arrogance and coolness and it also seems less realistic. Some homeboy (Carl Johnson) becomes so well respected that he's stealing harrier jets from an aircraft carrier for some secret goverment agent is a push at best, and the graphics are very ordinary, you still have walls magically appearing in front of you as you are speeding down the road, but that's where the balancing act comes in: the reason San Andreas is so vast is that the graphics aren't the best, but the sheer size and scale of san Andreas is what makes the game so great, there is a lot to do once the missions are over in the great area of San Andreas but this does not make up for the overall gameplay. I'm not saying it's bad, it's just not as good as Vice City/GTA3. I found these titles much more enjoyable and the missions also had a bit more substance to them. I also disliked having to eat and go to the gym as these added to the tedium of things. It's also not as addictive as its predocessors. I don't have that same urge to play as I did in GTA3, and I want to hear more of LAZLOW and his chatterbox style radiostation, he brings great humour to the games, but the radio on San Andreas was impressive. My personal favourite was master sounds which had motown classics in abundunce from James Brown's "Pay Back" to Lyn Collins' "Rock Me Again." SUPERB. It made for a pleasant driving experience. All in all, this is game but Vice City still holds the crown as the best game in the GTA series so far.

Well, I guess the admins are bored of all questions about the problems that came after the failure, but I'd just like to know if my "sending email php error" has something to do with the hosting. In fact, when someone is trying to register at my forum, they have this message "Failed sending email :: PHP :: DEBUG MODE Line : 234 File : emailer.php" And I get the same message when I'm trying to send a PM to someone. So it would be nice to know if the reason is the hosting problem, and if yes, how soon it will be fixed. Thanks in advance.

I see But it was just to know if it was something global, or just the problem with my accounts. So now I guess that I'm not the only one to have this problem.. am I right ?

I've just tryed to create a new random account.. and it doesn't work neither. So only the main account is working. This means that deleting accounts and re-creating them isn't a good solution, because even new created accounts wouldn't log me in

Hi.I've got some email accounts on my domain and associated with Xisto cPanel. Now, after this hosting failure only my main account is working... the other accounts do not login me I changed the password, I tried to login through webmail instead of Outlook, without any success... Maybe I could delete the accounts and re-create them again, but I see there are some mails in the inbox (I can see the disk usage in cPanel but I can't read the mails) so I can't delete the account as there might be something important.Does anyonw know any solution to this problem ?Thanks in advance.

Astral Projection is the legend of psy/goa trance... but I didn't hear anything new from them lately. The first psychodelic tune I've heard was Miranda - Space Baby, back in 2000. Still enjoying this one. I also like Etnica and Hallucinogen. Quality stuff

Best Fps Ever! what do you think is the best fps ever?
Neverseen replied to iGuest's topic in Computer Gaming
Call Of Duty must be the best Shoot-em-up on the PC I have ever seen! It's smooth lovely graphics, wonderful weapons and the tactical strategies you have to use. I must comment of the graphics of the explosions because normally an explosion on some of the old games, looks really bad - but the sound and texture of the explosion is wonderful! The Game graphics are superb with every textured seemed to be described on the gun you hold (or grenade). The enemies or allies you see almost look like real humans battling with you on your side or against you. There isn't a dramatic scene when you die - just a little cutscene which is good (unlike golden eye on the N64 with blood rolling down the screen and wierd music). The Landscapes are wonderful to battle over and it feels like you really are in World War II.The Weapons are fantastic. From pistols that can shoot a bullet at a time to heavy machine guns, firing explosive shells at every direction. The Guns look so real and almost fell as though you are holding them in your hand. There are plenty of weapons to receive whilst playing the game (Anyone out there like to pick people's heads with snipers? Well there are some really nice sniper guns in this game!). There are appearances like the tommy gun from many shoot-em-up games. I prefer the pistol because it is very accurate and it doesn't shoot all over the place like machine guns do!The enemies aren't all that dumb in this game (On some of the older games, enemies just walk out and decide to shoot), they hide behind crates, sniper from windows and even lay down in grass and get camoflaged! They look like real people and to have a team of men beside you (well on most of the missions) is a great honor! They really do help in this game where as most games it just looks like they are shooting when really they are doing nothing! The scenery is wonderful! There are brillaint trees with almost every texture brought out on them, grass and lakes without reflective water and even proper trenches for you to hide in whilst facing the enemy. It is a real experience to be fighting in the World War II and really makes you feel about how it must of been. There is only one real problem about Call Of Duty, The online bit of it. There is an option where you can play it online with other people, but I found it quite slow (and I have a DSL broadband connection). I suppose it depends of what connection you have, but mine didn't actually go fast at all and eventually crashed! The online games looks really good - it's just a shame it is so slow. Sometimes you are just walking about, then all of a sudden you are stuck still then it jams, then you are way ahead like you had been walking for ages!Call Of Duty is a must have if you enjoy Shoot-em-up games and is brilliant. There are vehicles later on in the game like trucks and tanks. The guns are superb and the game is addictive. Definitely the best FPS ever ! -
Anti Spyware Microsoft trial software
Neverseen replied to Cookiemonster1405241499's topic in Software
Well, I've seen this Microsoft AntiSpyware in action. First of all, I have my doubts about the License Agreement that comes with this product but then I'm not a laywer. Also, on a perfectly clean machine (checked by pro's) it claimed to have found XferPro based on nothing but registry keys (no executable found) that have nothing do with XferPro. That's not hopefull but then this is still beta software. But that might be a reason why Microsoft AntiSpyware finds things that others do not. Other then that this Microsoft AntiSpyware seems no better then the more proven solutions already available out there. With the exception that Microsoft AntiSpyware falls into the category of nagware as far as I'm concerned because it keeps on popping up questions for as long as the user doesn't comply with what the program thinks is best... -

ahh..yes. once again we have yet another doa game. even though it wins for graphics hands down, it does lack game play and modes. the a.i is very cheap on anything higher than easy, the boss battle has a bad camera angle, and aerosmith is the soundtrack. the combos have little if any difference between them. I can't bear to go on about it's faults, but I can't go on to it's pros either, because the only one would be the girls. if you still want to buy it, at least you don't need to pay $60, because it is now a platinum hit. but, if you are like me, and become leery when you see a bunch of good reviews for a game, and you get one bad review, compare the reviews, rent or borrow the game, and see for yourself.
