  1. Same goes for you Szupie you could have said this to him in PM. Ok, about the searchengines... A couple of years ago I was using Altavista and Yahoo... but since Google appeared I use this one almost everytime. Although I still use Yahoo sometimes.
  2. very interesting. Although I think all these ***bars are useless as well as comparing them to each other... just my opinion.peace out
  3. you might be kidding ? but oh well, we can't really copmlain as we don't pay money... but hey, we pay our time to post here ! My only one complain is that the rules are a bit too strict here. And some moderators on this board are too young. When they don't understand what someone's trying to say (because they're young to understand:D) they directly say: "hey! aren't you trying to gain some credits there??"... wtf ? I've seen that a couple of times.
  4. even JPEG can be uncompressed.. as it comes right away from your digital camera. In fact I think the important thing is not compressed/uncompressed, but the SIZE of the file. Because bigger the files are, quicker your server is full And also I think you have a limited traffic here at Xisto. So it'd be better for you to have small files thank large ones
  5. wow ! it looks great ! just a bit too dark as someone already told. But still very nice work ! :PAlso I don't really like the font you used for the text.... just my opinion.
  6. Heh. I think that the only one way to avoid spam and pr0n is to control all the stuff people are submitting. Well, that's what I think.... first do not turn this 'sign up" thingy off.. then you see if there's a lot of users who're signing up. If you have a descent number of registered members, so you don't need to turn it off Now if you see that nobody really want to sign in, then you try to turn it off and see what happens After all, it's always under your control.
  7. I'm using phpBB on my website and it wokrs great. very easy to admin and to set up. So go for it
  8. Heh it's nice, although I don't thin someone really needs a tutorial to be able to maks such an easy thing... imho.
  9. Hey, thanks for the tip. Now you can travel all around the world sittin in your chair
  10. It's cool, but to be honest, I prefere using Image Shack And I don't even need to sign up at Image Shack to be able to host my images...
  11. Hey, it's a cool tutorial Certainly very usefull I guess it took a lot of time to write it all down, so respect for that !I'm gonna try to use some of your advices there.

  16. Why not trying Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro ? Both are very good for graphic editing.
  17. Paint Shop Pro rocks without any doubt Go for this one and you'll not regret
  18. you probably already know this little trick but i thought i'll make a contribution anyway since i found this out the hard way in the past.If you want to copy protect your own work, package it in a strong envelope and post it (recorded post preferbly) and post it to yourself.DO NOT open you package. just keep it safe....and away from prying ears.the reason for this is to stop people copying your work and selling it off as theres....this method WILL stand up in a court of justice because the package is dated and not opened. also it'll save you dollars/pounds in copyright fees....
  19. You gotta get used with this kind of problem, as there isn't any stability at Xisto... sad but true.
  20. Hey, people I'm glad that this tutorial is useful for you You can even extract the sound from video clips this way
  21. Ok, here is a little tutorial about how to encode your CD tracks and WAV files or whatever you want to MP3 format (for legal use only!) First of all, you got to have Winamp installed. If you haven't got it, so you can go and download it at Official Winamp Website Then you need a codec to be able to encode your files. I use Radium MP3 Codec, so I'd recommed this one. And it's free for download HERE After you installed the codec, you'll need the MP3 output plug-in for Winamp HERE And the last thing you need to download is Winamp CD Reader. It's free and can be downloaded HERE Now, when you have all this stuff installed, you can start configuring your Winamp output. 1. Start Winamp 2. Go to Options > Preferences > Output. Choose Nullsoft MP3 Output Plug-In. Then click on 'Configure'. 3. You'll see the 'Select Directory' window. There you can choose the folder for your exported/encoded mp3 files. Choose the folder and press OK. 4. Now you see another window: 'Format Selection'. There you can choose the quality of your output files. I usually put 192 kbps 44,100 Hz Stereo. But it's up to you. Choose the quality you want and press OK. Then close the Preferences window. 5. Now, insert the track to convert in Winamp playlist. 6. Turn OFF the EQ, shuffle and repeat functions. 7. Press 'PLAY'... (You'll see the tracks playing but without any sound) Don't press anything while it's encoding the files. When the operation is finished, you can go and check the folder you've choosen at step 3. 8. Now go to output preferences (as explained in step 2) and choose your usual output settings. That's it. Now you're ready to listen to your encoded MP3 files

  23. There are 2 new features that really make this version stand alone from previous Battlefield’s. The new commander mode allows a person to basically “command” the battle from a top down standpoint (execute artillery strikes, give squads orders, etc). The other great feature, is the new command execution. Before, you had to use the F keys to execute a command to your team. Now, you simply point at a target, hit Q and click the appropriate command, and not only does it call out the command to your team, it highlights it on the map. The usability of this feature was REALLY thought out, as the most used command (Enemy Spotted) is selected by default, so you just have to hit Q + click at the same time. There are a couple of bugs however. For instance, every once and a while, if you capture a base, some teammates that now spawn there, will show up as enemies, and when you kill them, you will get a Teamkill. I racked up a wopping -27 score in about 30 seconds this weekend before realizing it. How this bug makes it through testing, is beyond me, but what makes me ok with it, is that EA/Dice are usually VERY fast in patching the game to fix these type of bugs. Another annoyance, is the Helicopter controls. Not only do the controls hardly respond while at full speed, they just feel fake overall. Anytime you angle the helo down, it speeds towards the ground at an incredibly fast rate. Sure, this might be realistic, but hardly easy to use in-game.But, I am extremely impressed with this game. I would go as far to say that this is the game of the year.
