  1. Well I do photography for a skate team which I am part of actaully. Here is a quick photo I took yesturday, twas a nice day! Note that I didnt edit the image yet with the tags. Rider is Andrew J.
  2. Anybody have a spair 1000$ they can donate to the "DSLR Wanted but no money" fund?Well truely for the money, if you are looking to buy a digital camera that works I would go with Pentax. Also you might also want to have a look at the Sony cameras with the Carl Zeiss lenses. They have superb quality too but you have to have a really steady hand when taking pictures with even little zoom or else you will get a slightly blurry image. I noticed that with my Sony P92 the color yellow turns a little ligh greenish in low light even with flash.
  3. I just tried Bit Comet and so far it is proving to be worthy of my usage. It is fast and simple to use, nothing confusing about it really. Search for an item with the links provided and then just open it and it starts downloading. I am really enjoying Bit Comet I hope it is better with the speeds though because I want my files fast like everyone else! lol
  4. Yamato, I have no clue where you live but as long as your in US you can get 17 inch flat panels for 150$ on special sales at CompUSA or Best Buy. I bought it then realized I didnt need it and returned it. But the catch here was that there was a 100$ rebate that I already mailed it, so it turns out I got 100$ for nothing!
  5. The idea of clusters is pretty smart but sometimes it will not work out. I would stick with Google because it is much faster, easier to use and only has two main categories like Dmaster said. For some reason the interface of Googles pages is also easier on the eye and its simple.Go Google!
  6. I stick with Firefox and some special extentions for it. It does wonders for me with ads, searches, text proccesing, email and many other great functions. Overall I hate toolbar add-ons because they clog up my net surfing view of web pages. If I used IE, chances are I would install Google Toolbar because of its pop-up blocker!
  7. The only thing wrong I see besides the navigation fuzzy text is that there is jaggyness between the buttons up top. Other than that your layout is pretty good, cant wait to see the final product!
  8. Hmm, thats strange I just sent a 4 mb song via my gmail with no problems at all. Gmail is fast and realiable what more can you ask for? They even add new features as the days go by, plus they give invites. If somebody doesnt have a gmail account yet then just private messege me your e-mail, I will gladly send you an invite!
  9. I had 2 flat panels but then I sold one for a good price and just have one panel now. 2 monitors are great for everything, I found tons of uses including editing, gaming, chatting, net surfing, etc.My brother had 3 monitors at one point, but the third appeared a bit useless.
  10. I was in the Enemy Territory craze long ago but it got very boring and I decided to quit playing it. But to you that havent played it yet then get it! Its worth it, you`ll be hooked for a while!
  11. I can relate to the feeling of being alone and having low moral and self esteem. Ill try and make this as short as possible since I may get into it Well about 7 years ago my family moved to the US from Ukraine, a country in Europe. I didnt speak any English but I still had to go to school. You would imagine that kids would be nice at the fact that you dont speak English, but what if you couldnt understand a simple Hello? All you had during that day of school is yourself, you couldnt talk and even when I wanted to talk I didnt know what to say. When I did learn some basic English, I was self contious about how I would say it because of accent and the chance of kids making fun of me. I remember I was so shy that I would just ignore the kids talking and stare away from them. As time went on I thought about my situation, I asked myself why am I so low on self esteem? why am I embarrased to talk? I came up with really silly answers and I decided to battle my problem. I started to talk to everyone, that led to making a lot of new friends. I became proud of my heritage, I made jokes with which I entertained my friends, I became out going to a point where I was out every night till late! I soon belonged in the "cool" crowd where I met girls, girls, and even more girls. They dig security in a man, because most girls are insecure about their apperance and other things. Everything is inside of you, you have to find the source of the problem and solve it, find a answer! Believe in yourself, it doesnt matter if you think your "ugly" some people might think otherwise. Dont let your physical features slow you down in the social food chain, all I can say is believe in yourself and what you do, dont be afraid to show your talents. Most important of all you are not the only one having these mixed emotions, everybody has em in there life, trust me!Hope some of my rambling helped you!
  12. Deviant Art is a cool place to find new artists and support then but their website is desperately slow at times. That is what keeps me away from it usually but sometimes I dont mind looking at great art!I love http://heylove.deviantart.com/ windows xp styles. Also I have a few other favorite artists but those few are in the hundreds if you know what I mean. Too many to list!
  13. Need For Speed Underground was one of the best racer games I have ever played. I was so hooked on it when it came out for PC, I finished the game in 2 days! Now when Need For Speed Underground 2 came out, I purchased it but I wasnt extremely happy with it. The problem with NFSU2 is that you have to navigate around a home map and find races and shops which gets on your nerves a lot. The compass that comes with the map is also unrealiable in the sence that it points to go straight and then in a split second it turns to go back! This made me loose a lot of time and concentration, call me stupid but it was pretty confusing for me to get around in the first part of the game. The graphics and all other aspects where great though, no problems there. That is my 2 cents on both games, I still stick with the original NFSU because of its simplicity!
  14. I am glad for you and your family that you werent affected by the devastating tsunami. I pay tribute to all who passed away during that disaster.Your shots are great, I bet that those island raves must be really awesome. No rules or anything right? Just pure hardcore rave! The shots with the fire and the long exposure are really something!
  15. I love photography but with the cost of film for me at the time it was an expensive pleasure. Then I gathered enough money and bought myself a 5 megapixel Sony DSC-P92 from ebay for a reasonable price. Eversince I have been enjoying my photography cravings with digital sensation! It is so easy to use and then after your done downloading the pictures into your computer was an ease. Currently I still use this camera but now since I am a photo man for a skate team, I need a DSLR camera which has better shutter speed to capture those motion shots. All in all once you switch to a decent digital camera you really wont have a need to go back to film.
  16. Wow, I spent some time reading all of this information and I must say that this was very useful to me. I am starting to learn CSS and its pretty easy for the most part. Also if you guys are looking for graohical designer jobs I recommend looking in the Jobs section of the news paper. They usually have 2-3 graphical designer wanted ads, well atleast in my town they do! :rolleyes:Thank you again for clearing everything up on how to get started!
  17. If that tutorial didnt work for you, or confused you then there is always a guess and check method.First open the picture in Photoshop with the red-eyes, then zoom in really close(Ctrl + +) and use any of the Lasso Tools to select the red eye area(I usually use the regular Lasso tool with a steady hand). Now zoom out to its original size with the selection still going, go to Image>Adjustments> and from here you have to play around to get everything right. Choose Hue/Saturation first and mess around to choose the closest color that relates to the eye area. Once your done that go to Brightness/Contrast to get the right light proportions.Like I said it takes some practise to do this but you learn photoshop either way and thats a big plus in life.
