  1. I personally gave up on 3D Max, now I mess around with Cinema 4D because it seems easier...well I spent 5 mins on Pixel2Life website and found these two tutorials that seem good. Here: http://twistedlogic.deviantart.com/art/Abstract-Technique-17368978 <-Better one, I think http://www.voidix.com/Silicon%20One-1.html
  2. Light gray -#EEEEEELight green - #AAEE44dark grey - #CCCCCCwhite - #FFFFFFblack - #000000
  3. Resolution of your monitor? I had a problem once where I could see crappy picture quality because my resolution was 800 by 600 now it is 1200 by 900 and I have to problems. Note I am not a computer guru! lol
  4. I personally would take the 3d max way out by making a abstract render and then exporting it to photoshop, use some brushes and effects, crop and valla! The hardest part would be to create the object in 3d Max but there are a lot of tutorials this day to do this...
  5. I made the transition long ago, I bet all of us started to mess around with PSP and then decided to advance to something more better! PS was that step up that is why everyone uses it so much!
  6. I can help you with some layout and stuff, but you have to be more specific. I cant make a website not knowing what Runescape is and what it does. Its like making a autobiography for someone you dont know anything about!
  7. The picture is pretty blurry, but I can see what caught your eye to photograph the colors. Unfortunatly the point and shoot digital cameras are really weak at capturing the right color in a dimmer situation...I found this to be really disapointing when I try to capture soft colors in the sunsets, I think the only way out is a SLR camera. That is why I am getting the Canon Digital Rebel XT...anybody have a comments on it? Nice picture, but the blurryness...
  8. I personally think that Commercial Arts could be fine art. Anything can be art really, it all depends on the people and how they view the piece of work. Every work usually sends out an image, that image can be taken for anything the person wants it to take. I think I am a little bit confused on this subject so if you think I am wrong please explain!
  9. I believe you make a flat image and that shaded with proper shading methods to make the item 3-d or in this case a sphere. On you last piece the stars need a lot of work, shade then so the actually have the star shape but fade a little into the dark space. Also instead of duplicating the earth all the time, maybe change the color of it to maybe copper to represent Mars? Just a suggestion, I never really had interest in making these but they are some great eye candy!
  10. Really nice and detailed tutorial you made there zorlen, it is really appreaciated. Now if you know this well you can move on to brushing 3d abstract pieces that were rendered from any 3d program. I think you would create some really cool abstract art, not just signitures! Thanks again for the tutorial!
  11. Well this is a personal website we are talking about and I dont think the creator wants to go on TV? But you never know stick figures can be used on TV to send a simple messege to people about anything!
  12. You can always find a pixel font, they are really tiny and easy to read. What size do you consider small? 8-12 point fonts are easy to find these days and they are really simple to read without any blur...
  13. Hit me up if you have any questions or are just looking to chat AIM: zc7 MSN: muffinman2z@yahoo.com
  14. I am almost finished coding the site, need to finish one more page with the Links. You can view and test the site for me at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ for all of the comments, really appreaciated!
  15. In photoshop I personally use the vector took to make my rounded corners on anything, gives me nice clean lines and edges. About putting it up with HTML, I dont know that much but I am positive that it is super easy with CSS. I saw it on some website, Ill try to find it later and post it here...that is if you still need it!
  16. You have done a great job so far but when I first looked at it I thought it was a work in progress. The piano needs more depth, maybe a darker shade of that red, to show the other finer details of the piano itself. Usually in vectors if you show depth with different colors, the piece becomes much more interesting! Other than that I like the background of the piano, twas a nice touch in my opinion. Also might want to give it a irregular white frame to make it look more abstract like the background. Vectoring in photoshop is not an easy task, that is why I love this piece!
  17. For my .ico files I use IconCool Editor which is really simple to use and has great features. Easy to create images with different size(like 16x16, 32x32 etc.) Try it out, although the down side is I think it has a trial...but that can be solved easily!
  18. ebaumsworld is a website which everyone can enjoy with a pleasant laugh or a gasp of fear. I visit that site every week or two to see the updates, I personally like the guy who does the commercial demonstrating the piano! Also like someone said earlier about the guy who beat Mario in about 7 mins is a must see!!! There is one where a little girl (like 5 years old) runs to jump into the pool but jumps to early and falls onto the concreate! I was laughing for days!
  19. I have over 400 fonts on my computer right now and let me tell you its not fun picking out one. Although I enjoy randomly firing up Photoshop and just messing around with different fonts to make logos. You get a lot of experience this way I think, and basically when I will need to do a logo I will know what goes with what. Its only the matter of looks and appropriate style. For example I usually dont see comic sans font on proffesional websites but rather arial or something else that suites the purpose of the site. Also we cant forget that we can make fonts look more interesting by layering them with different colors and such...
  20. Those are pretty nice manipulations but they seem a little bit "over-whored" to me. In the sence that using 13 different photos and basically the only focus point I see is the broken glass. The last image you posted has to much squares(block) images that make the image hard to focus on. I personally favor the one with the phone hanging down. Do you still have the stock without the radial zoom blur? I think you can really do something with the image. For example my idea is to vector the phone and the wire while leaving the stock background. That would truely show that life can be traced like a image.Keep up the good work, I like your style!
  21. Remember to always search https://www.google.de/?gfe_rd=cr&ei=BwkjVKfAD8uH8QfckIGgCQ&gws_rd=ssl before posting for something simple to find like this. The web has a ton of scripts on everything you just have to search for them and pick out the best for you. I personally like this one: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/dropmenuindex.htm Looks simple and customizable...but I am sure there are better ones out there!
  22. I learned HTML with trusty Notepad and guess n` check methods. First of all I remember I asked my brother to do the basic structure for me and then I just memorized that. Now basically I apply it and then with all the other scripts available on the web its really easy to do the rest.
  23. This is a web layout I created for my skate team. I wanted that compact, cartoony, stylish design that showed that we were straight to the point. I still see some flaws in my design like the left side of the "MAYBE?" is jaggy a bit and there is a font conflict too. What do you think?
  24. Thank you for the comment, and yes I took that picture myself. My camera also does shoot sepia automatically which is useful in really light situations. Also for me sepia is much better than black and white because it gives more personality to the picture for some reason..
  25. The last part of the tutorial with the Dreamweaver helped me a lot because I just got it and I am really lost in it. I have to spend some time looking over the features and reading the help file. Anyways this tutorial is great, and it is pretty easy to fallow. Awesome job!
