  1. There is something missing in the middle but it looks like you tried to add something there! I really like the font, really fancy, but its hard to read it sideways...the face is pretty well balanced out with the black and white.
  2. Its really um different...See usually you cant really mix something dark like metal(gothic) with some soft colors. But what ever floats your boat I guess! The scan lines that are also in the way of the background, the text is pixelated and needs more of that gothic text to go with the character!Otherwise really nice!
  3. I like the composition of the whole photo, the background is ashtonishing! I love those cabins ontop of cliffs.....luxury! The pose of the body and face is a bit serious but shoes a deep thinker! lol
  4. I am on the way to order my Canon Digital Rebel XT with the Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L USM lense and really see the digital camera world! I personally think that film cameras are good to learn with and become more experienced in and then move on over to digital dslr. But then again with the dslr you can see and understand your mistakes for free as to film where you have to pay to develope or spend some quality time in the dark room!
  5. I love the background pictures you chose because they are all old school and look grungy/worn! Gives a feel of the old days and how it was done...really cool!
  6. Looks like those example pages where it shows what each Photoshop effect does! Pretty cool if you were going for that because you nailed it!
  7. That is pretty cool what you have made...smooth animation, great colors, but I personally had to focus to read the text that appears first. Bit hard on the eyes with that outline? The cut off edges look ok but I thought that people came out of that fad?
  8. Did you do that with Photoshop or is pixel work? If it is pixel work you have great talent!!! If Photoshop than its really not bad, pretty cool too! Did you ever try to modify real pictures of cars, people, or other into something other than the original? I mean I personally love when people Photoshop cars into something out of their creativity!
  9. There are many ways you can make rounded corners....the html, the css, ps ways. You can to see what you are capable of really. I would personally go with PS and do it quickly with the pen tool!
  10. You can always use the trial versions of Photoshop or that Elements thing and then I guarantee you will never stop using it....yes it is that addictive!
  11. I am personally staged to learn XHTML I think it will over-take other basic language soon plus it is "clean" I really appreaciate this guide, helped me learn something in the first 3 paragraphs!
  12. Thanks for the background image bud, it is small but still amazing! Again you have some great skill with modeling, how long does it take you to make something like that environment? I mean the lighting is awesome!
  13. The typorgraphy is actually really good in your poster. It stands out and is really well placed! In posters and handbills I think the layout of the text and the text itself is the main aspect.
  14. Great work again, I like the shading but like dragong said you can further improve it in different programs...maybe even render it in a 3d program! That would be something to look at!
  15. Wow! Really nice work and the fact that you did all of it yourself is quite amazing! My favorite would be the last one because of the hall stucture and lighting, can you please render just that hallway so I can use it as my desktop? I really love 3d models of environments...
  16. The portfolio webpage usually reflects the style of art of the artist. It was always been like that because when I person has created his/her own style he/she applies it to everything. A good portfolio in my eyes is a portfolio with easy navigation, great explenation, and ofcourse good work!
  17. As much as I understand "tracing" is vectoring or it could be brush work. Personally the ipod looks vectored and doesnt have those flufy edgy brush marks.
  18. Really nice shading, and the overall idea seems pretty interesting!A bit late dont you think? lol
  19. Did you do that with a tutorial or something because I swear I alot of people are comming up with the same result on other forums. Anyway I really like it, its clean and looks pretty much real... Especially the head phones!
  20. I have one on our skate team website, I found Saybox from http://saybox.co.uk/ It is pretty cool and really customizable, the service is also realiable! Try it out if you dont like any posted here...If you want to see how it looks in real life check out my site http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  21. Well I dont have that much time in me but I went to Pixel2Like and found a tutorial on layered texturing Here Hope that helps! Remember there is always https://www.google.de/?gfe_rd=cr&ei=BwkjVKfAD8uH8QfckIGgCQ&gws_rd=ssl when you are introuble!
  22. Personally it seems that someone just used a filter and blurred up some of the jaggyness. But also they look like posters to me, maybe he scanned them and then resized?Great concept never the less, would be better if you used either straight lines or that circle net concept...
  23. I am glad you took my advice and made into reality! I like the whole concept and the work you did. I think you need to work on that cord maybe shade the adges with a really light brush and make it look little more realistic. Also the phone is really nice and clean but if you are going to keep that background you should also fallow the shading on the original photo. That way you can even remove the background, vector the rest of the phone stand, and put it into a nice frame...Great job again, I really like the idea!
  24. Wow, that close up of the insect is astonishing! Perfect timing too, how did you get that position of it? Also I went to your gallery and those shots of the sunset in the Airport are just so vivid! ...wow
  25. My first opinion about your template is that you really need to work on your color scheme. I personally see a lot of different shades of orange in the header, navigation and the main text area! Also there is a font fiasco! So many fonts and all are pretty hard to read...Then if you have your navigation boxes beveled (3d effect - sp?) that most likely you would have to bevel the rest of the windows. The last thing that seems to be a problem would be the navigation box, the first one with the title; it doesnt have those big cut off edges like the rest of the windows. Well those are my beefs on your first template, its not that bad for a first! Mine, uhhh, dont want to talk about it! lol
