yeah...as other people have been saying...use emulation software such as virtual pc - only one i have used and i havent had too many problems with it it does work pretty good for linuxjust instal an os on your system, instal vpc, then instal other os with vpc and away you govpc is great for testing os's or getting used to a new os that you havent used before

i have mandrake linux 10 installed on my laptop...i want to run games (like nfsu2, hl2, cs:s, far cry, doom) what program would be best for running thse games ? i have heard of wine - one of the programs that came with red hat linux fedora core 2 (also have - just not installed) but i never could get it to run games very well...even my little games like jnes (nintendo emulator)also would the program be able to run apps like acohol 120 or winamp as well as the games ? and how many of the windows programs can you have opened at once ?

yes i have noticed/realized that it takes a while to load... that is why i am learning flash...the whole site is gonna be flash as soon as i can learn flash

ah...i like blink 182 a lot as well...but i think you should look into the other bands...and i think your crazy if you never heard of slipknot (i hope thas what you meant by you didnt recognize "most" of those bands)

yes...thank you guys a lot - also i found one on my own (yes i actually did some work - that worked - on my own - online - yes) Flash Tutorial i kinda found this one more helpful for me...but yours showed me some stuff that this one didnt so thanks a lot i was also lookin online for flash apps seeing which ones would be better what do you guys think about flash mx - i already have the program (have for a while actually i got macromedia studio mx 2004 ) i just didnt see the program in there yeah im a loser but flashkit is the one that is mentioned in the tutorial that i found... which one is better (makes quality flash animations) ?

no...mine doesnt show anything either (srry i thought i pointed that out in my post) but its a laptop as well...and i havent upgraded anything major that would take up more power (last thing i upgraded after the backlight was replaced was my ram - i upgraded from 256 to 512) but that wouldnt drain the power... i have never heard of any else having this same problem, and aparently niether have any of the tech guys i know / have talked to oh and also my specs for the laptop are: compaq presario 2190us (laptop) 2.4ghz intel celeron processor 512mb ram (64mb shared video memory) it has windows 2003 professional on it right now, but had windows xp professional (but like i said - i had installed all the games on all the operating systems and it still the problem wasnt fixed - so i know it isnt the os or the game) it has a 40gig hard drive (but that is irralavent) ummm....what else.... oh yeah..i suppose this might be of some importance...but probably not. i have it set up for remote desktop connection to my nobilis (little dinky 450mhz computer with windows 2003) just for the extra hard drive space, file sharing, and so that i can use the floppy drive and zip drive i have in it (because i dont have either for my laptop). the nobilis is always running and connected to my computer (and i have drives shared on it through the remoted desktop as well) even when i play games - but that really wouldnt do anything much would it ? cept maybe slow computer down

i didnt see any flash animation tutorials in the tutorial section here...i want to learn how to create flash animations. i see them all over the place and would love to make my own, unfortaintly our library doesnt have any new how-to books on flash and i cant seem to find any good tutorials online (or this site - idk maybe i just happend to miss the post somewhere, i did search for it tho) but can one of you help direct me in the right direction (lol...direct-direction...lol) twoard a good site or posibly a tutorial program or sumtin.also i know of some flash programs (not really), but dont know which one to get. which one is best? easiest? fastest? all the help i can get would be appreciated...thank you

yeah you can all laugh at me if you want.... but i love those old pokemon games, you know the original for gameboy the old black and white (now they got all these colors and crap). the old pokemon with only 200 pokemon (now they got somewhere around 1000 - probably wrong). i used to play that game for hours...i loved it...i mean dont get me wrong...pokemon is gay, the card game (stupid) the tv show (stupid) the movies (stupid) - maybe some of you can disagree with me on this (you know all you hardcore card collectors or w/e you want to call yourself that really get into it and believe that its real) yes, i will also admit that some of those same card games, are fun to play...but im not quite so serious about them ....i think that nintendo should come out with a remake of the old classic pokemon game for ds or sumtin...get back to the basics...

i was just wonderin if anyone else liked to listen to the same bands that i do....i know that its a poll...but id like to see what other bands or songs you guys like......and i like all of the ones above...they are all great...i listen to rock...thas it...rock...i dont like rap, i dont like country, i dont like classical, i dont like anything but rock. but it can be hard rock, old rock, soft rock, new rock, w/e as long as its rock...

it amazes me, how many people really dont know who dream theather is...and my best friend is afraid to mention dream theater to anyone because he thinks that they will think that he is a ***** or sumtin (he is one of those little scrawny people that always like to copy other people, that way he looks cool...its kinda stupid)but i LOVE dream theater....they are the best...i have three cds and am trying to get the rest of them...but havent had internet for a while (considering that i only have internet every other weekend...and holidays mess it up...and brothers choices and all that stuff - thas what a divorce will do for yea) but i have "change of seasons" "awake" "train of thought" and desperatly want live at budaki (not sure how thas spelt) and live at new york...they are the best....love them and hope they keep up the good work!

i think this might be a hardware problem....but i suppose it could be a software problem or possibly an os problem...idk its been pissin me off a lot lately...i love to play games (doesnt everyone ) but when i go to play a game (any game doesnt matter what kind, system requirements, or how big of a game) it will shut down my computer (force shutdown....doesnt bring up shutdown option and show me that it is shutting down) after exactly five mins of play time (i have actually timed this...several times ) it has actually done this before...but i didnt pay much attention to it because it only happened with three of my games...but then my backlight went out on my lcd display (its a laptop not a desktop - compaq presario 2190us ) and i had to take it in to get it fixed (im not to good with laptops yet - trial and error learning you know...i would like to keep the error part out with this laptop ) but after it got fixed the problem was gone....now about two months after that...the problem came back...just outa nowhere...it is annoying me and i have talked to a tech guy about this....he told me to mess around with the windows configuration so that it doesnt force restart....well that didnt do anything...just as i had figured...do any of you know how this can be fixed...i want to get back to playing my games...

what exactly is project revolution....is it a game ?....console ?....im not exactly up to date with nintendo....im not a big fan....but i have heard great things about them

well...if you are certified to do this kind of work for money...i suggest you take legal actioins if not...destroy him :P (i would use a key logger and grab the new passwords...then change the password on him )

i dont know...from the looks of it...all you guys are doing is setting a cell background to make the table look like a rectangle with rounded corners (right?) but you dont HAVE to use photoshop for this (not that i dont love photoshop because i LOVE photoshop and i use it for almost everything for my website) but if you dont have photoshop you can use other programs...like paint (easy, fast, and fun...nuttin like sittin down at the computer and creating pixel art ) but all youd really have to do is just make a circle using the circle tool in w/e program you are using (now a days pretty much all programs will have the basic features like the pencil tool and the rectangle tools....ect...) square off the corner....basicly making the picture that everyone else has shown you already....save it...rotate it 90 degrees 3 times...saving it each time...so that you have each of the 4 corners....and set the pictures for your cell backgrounds...for the sides...just set the cell color to the same color as the corners...you can use color select tool to get the exact color....as to setting up the table....use frontpage or dreamweaver...dont type html in notepad (that takes too long and there are too many codes that you have to memorize to customize your page to get the look you want)anyways...just thought id post my opinion

i always find it hard to start creating a web site too...not just with design but with content as well (if your like me and just wake up and decide to make a site but dont know what to put in it so you run around asking people what you should put in it....then finally figuring out you want something different so you change your whole site template to fit what you want...then changing it later because people didnt like it, thinking it was hard to read. Then realizing they were wrong and starting all over again...trying to find what you had before to save time, but you deleted it off of your computer and you are pissed. now having to go find some data recovery software to get the damn thing back...and finally have about two months getting the damn thing up online) but usually to get a good site template i just simply search the web, just go to google and do a search on what you want in your web site and see what other people did for their templates and kinda "steal" their idea, but changing it...making it yours. you know...like usuing their color scheme or w/e because it looked cool. or using their background because its pretty. you can just combine everything from all the sites you found and put together a nice lookin site that you can call yours (kinda). if you dont like doin that than i suppose you could go to some of those nice little online template creators (or just use one of the templates from frontpage or w/e app you are using, but thats stupid those suck...but i do "borrow" some of their buttons once in a while cause i think they are cool and cant make up my mind on sumtin else) heres a link to a few template sites i know...but if you dont want to just use a template and make your own...idk...i suggest searching google for images and stuff you like then making your own in jasc photoshop pro 9 - very good program for web design i use it all the time Hover Web Templates 10 min flash templates layout galaxy i hope i was some help if not...well...im srry

what is wrong with all you people seriously you guys have major issues...INTEL IS THE BEST ON THE PLANET...!!!!!jk...haha...intel sux....amd is the best, they are cheaper and more powerful than intel, intel stands no chance against ANY amd (did i just repeat what you guys said?)amd 64bit is the best amd processor out there...but i want to see the 128bit amd run, i think killer008rs brother has a 128bit amd in his laptop but i could be wrong

i got windows codename: longhorn build 4074 on a dvd...i downloaded it from torrents...it is good...good...thas all...good...i think that it need a few improvements, but for one it IS made to run on the next gerneration of computer systems (much faster and biggger *technically smaller*) so it didnt work to good on my laptop and longhorn requires 512mb ram...my laptop only has 448 since 64mb is shared vid ram...but yeah...we also installed it on the schools computers with only 128mb ram and it ran ok...but still choppy...i like the look of it, kinda a mix of mac linux and windows...pretty cool...all in all...it has potential...but still needs work

thank you killer008r...i am sorry if i offended you in any way...but i cant stand this guy...like killer008r said he doesnt know what he is doing, he kicked his brother off the network because he had opened a program from his pen drive...and it wasnt even illegal or could potentially cause any harm to the system...but yet the admin booted him because they proved him wrong, they showed that they were smarter than him...once again...he did the same thing to me when i showed him how to recognize pop ups from visited sites on novell...i proved him wrong...i showed him i was smarter than him...so he punished me...there is nothing that i could do to this guy that isnt justified...its pay back...and i still owe him
