  1. It is a medical fact that to raise the temperature of the testicles one degree for an hour can impair sperm count for a week, now couple that with the fact that a laptop can raise temperatures about ten degrees, and you have your answer, given enough time using one, both sessions and years, you can permanantly kill any sperm production..The best advice is to take it easy with them. Don't use them for more than an hour with out taking a break and getting some fresh air if you will. When used properly, none of the damage is permanant. This is comming from a man that uses his laptop all day every day, and has four kids... Use it wisley, and no harm can be done....

  2. Okay, you guys need a litte background for my story.I am a black belt at Choi Kwan Do. I help Grand Master Choi test poeple that are wanting to move up to the next belt. They have a routine that they have to follow for most of the test, and then some compulsory moves.I was testing for my second degree Black belt. Grand Master Choi never shows any emotion during a test. There are two of us up on mat, doing the routine for our belt, when all of a sudden during a flying spin kick, My pants fell off. I didn't notice it untill I saw Grand Master Choi laugh. I think that the only reason that I got my belt that day was pity from Grand Master over having had this happen in front of about three hundred young people that were waiting to earn their first belt.....-William

  4. I'm not really that enamored with it.

Once it has been out a while, and you can find it for US$100.00 used, then I will think about jumping on it.

The drawback to working with the company that I do, EBGames, is that I get to play with all the hot new toys 6 months before they are publicly released. I am not very happy with the PSP.

And don't let anyone fool you into believing that it will be exactly like the PS2 in play style, that will leave you wanting, it plays just like any of the other handhelds...

I would reccomend that any reader that has not got one tomorrow wait for a few months and let them get some of the many, and I emphasise MANY bugs that are in the system taken care of.

This was a product that Sony pushed through R&D and it plainly shows.....

When you can't play a game for more than five minutes, before the unit wigs out, that is a big problem that should have been fixed before release.

I'll go into my office tomorrow, and I will write a review for it, and see what all they have fixed before that I give it my final rating....

  5. I tried to download it and install it, but once the download was complete, the installed wouldn't run, after three times of trying to download it, I just gave up, If someone could add a url to their post, telling me where I can DL it from, then I might consider trying it again....I might even put it on a disk in my software vault.....-William

  6. O...k.... If OpaQue is Bill Gates in disguise, then why are the servers running Linux :D (or at least that's what my cPanel reads LOL)... (I would die laughing, if the Microsoft servers would be running Linux ;))

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

There for a while, before they started hosting their own site, they were apache servers running on Redhat Linux :D Very few people know that.

I don't know about other global mods, regular mods or admins other then OpaQue, but I don't get paid to be here, I am here as Global Mod, because I like it.

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I'm not getting paid cash, but I have fun here. Chris1234, give it a little while. When I first joined, I found it hard to really post anything meaningful, but as I began hanging around, things became a lot better, and my posts began getting longer and longer. Things around here can get really funny, and if you give it time, then it will all be wavy. ::Crosses Fingers:: Trust Me ::UnCrosses Fingers:: J/K

  7. By "hyperlink sucks", I meant that this forum is for articles and definitely not for posting only hyperlinks.

One can, and should provide hyperlinks for further reading, but a post containing only a hyperlink : it really sucks.

Write something if you want others to know about it, but write atleast something and then post the hyperlink. Not post only the hyperlink !!

Hope you got my point and surely you would agree.

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

No, you all can feel free to post any funny hyperlinks here you want.

Bigyan, leave the mods up to making that call, please.

  8. But the doors don't open...Which is really annoying. Also, the Flash Grenade seems to do absolutely nothing.

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

How are you throwing the Flash/Bang in the room if the doors don't open?

But all you have to do to get them to open is to walk up to the doors, and push the action key, which is default mapped to the "E" key on the keyboard. Once you have the first door open, then all you have to do is go in and destroy the two targets in the first room, and then go out the back of the room, down the hole in the floor, into the tunnels, making ure to take out targets in the tunnels, and then out the end of the tunnel, into another room, where there are more targets.

After that, on to the bar door, where you aim at the lock and again press the action key, ("E" standard) untill you unlock the door, and then out throught it and the last door to be assigned to a squad, and begin map play.....

  9. It's my personal opinion, but I feel that such programs that check your email and notify you of new emails are not very helpful. They can be very distracting and disturbing especially if you receive large volumes of email per day. Of course, if you need to respond ASAP to your emails, such email checkers are great.

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Being a MOD here, I do need to respond to E-Mails Quickly, so that is why I need a checker.....

CheckMail (latest version 2.4.3) is a powerful but small email checking program. It uses about 2680K of memory.

    Key Features

        * Unlimited number of POP3 email accounts

        * Can act as a POP3 server by collecting emails of many accounts and storing them locally

        * Can act as an SMTP server by collecting all emails of a local network and sending them on schedule

        * Custom notifications for different emails/accounts/groups/etc.

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

That is exactly what I am looking for, thank you very much for that link....

Not very much of a system hog, and plenty of features, moer than I will ever use actually, And a small memory footprint.

One Small question, how much CPU does it use? (not that it really matters to me :D )

  10. I perosonally don't like it, it just seems that the gren letters on a green background looks too bright, and whit is DWA?Dorks With Attitude (I resemble that one... :D),Defenders What Agree,Dude Who Are_you, Hey, I ran out of nifty Nick Names....Is it a clan name for a online game, is it your site name...All of these questions come up when I look at that graphic, If you can answer as many questions with as simple a graphic as possible, you are good to go.All in all I rate it about 4 out of 10.-William

  11. Yes, Yahoo is richer. But, I think that since Yahoo's search is based off Google, I suspect that the code for the ads will be very similar to the Adsense code.I would be very interested to see the code side by side and see if that is the case.but, a lot more information would be really helpfull to this site, and please don't cut and paste it all.-William

  12. You need MOAD aswell, which I have still yet to do. I throw in the flash grenade, shoot the targets and nothing happens.

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

That is true, but it is really easy to do....

You have to then proceed through the room and through the tunnels to the building at the other end of the tunnels, take out a few more targets, unlock a gate, and then proceed to the outside of the building to finish the level....

    It is really easy.

  13. I don't think Google wants to collect our personal data so that they can sell to spammers or do malicious stuff or something. They just want to serve adverts to us to make money. Given the wonderful services they provide, I think it's only fair.

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

    You are exactly right..

Plus there are legal things that, should they be asked to do, they would have to do.

Prepping DNS (This step will varry depending as to wether you have a dynamic Ip from your ISP, or a Static IP.)

Dynamic IP (IP Address changes each time you connect to the internet):

The easiest way to do this is to download the No-ip Dynamic Update Client.

go here and enter the required information to setup an account on thier DNS server.

you willrecieve an e-mail at the address that you registered, find it and click on the activation link in the body of the e-mail.

You will be taken to a site that will now let you login.

Login and then click on add under the hosts colum on the right side of the page that you come to after loggin in.

Input what you want to call your site in the tope text box.

Select the subdomain that you want in the Second Text Box.

Make sure that DNS Hots (A) radio button is selected.

Check the box next to allow wildcards.

Click on the create host button, and you are finish setting up your host.

Once your account is setup and verified, then Click Here to download the Dynamic update client.

Run the File that you just downloaded, and follow the on screen directions.

When you run the installed program for the first time, it will ask for some information:

Enter the E-mail address that you registered at No-ip in the E-mail Field.

Enter the your account password that you setup at No-IP in the account password field.

The Dynamic Update client will then connect to it's servers and get the list of host that you have setup, and it will constantly keep the client up to date with the server as to the ip of your computer.

Static IP (Your ISP gives you the same IP everytime you connect to the internet)

Go to the website of the registrar of your domain name

Login, and find the modify DNS record link

under the DNS server entry, enter your IP address and click submit.

After 24-72 hours, your webaddress will resolve to your computer

Tell people the address of your website, and you are hosting your own website from home.

  15. OpaQue, you are so great, no wonder this site and service rocks...I was just curious, and you answered my question beautifully, thank you. I was not trying to be a pain in the rump, it was just a thought I had.If it creates a problem to hide it, then don't. That means if it even causes you a moment of trouble to verify it, then unhide it. I will support you in any decision that you make regarding this issue...

  16. Which Platform are you wondering about?

For web-based acces there is nothing better than MyPHPAdmin...

For PC-based access, I still uses MySQLGui, it can be found here

There are a bunch of different PO-based guis listed and downloadable from the MYSql Download page, here. I've not really had any experiance with any other GUI's, but I'm sure some exist...

Some Relevant Results from a Google on "MySQL GUIs":

    MySQL Control Center Downloads

    MySQL-Front

    MySQL Administrator

    MySQLGUI

    Navicat

  17. is phpnuke the best? i like phpnuke because it has lots of cool templates you can use. Also doesnt phpnuke come in other man other languages besides english to so yea. plus it ahs ome cool modules where you can get news from other sites that you like..i think im right here..correct me if im wrong.

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

You are absolutly correct, you can pull news from other sites.

If you would like to see my site that takes advantage of that, then follow the link below, and you can see it on my website...

    My Website

Really, the only thing that I don't like about it is that any site that uses phpNuke looks that same, the content may be different, but they all look the same.

As to what CMS is best, I've only used PHPNuke, so I'm not really sure if it is best or not. It is great for the interim time for my website. It gives it a nice feel, and an easy to use navigation system, so I am pretty happy with it.

I have on my forums a casualty list from operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring freedom, and I also have news from both Operations, so it can be used for just about any content that you can imagine.

I love the module ability of nuke, I am using a couple of different modules on my site , like the Amber Alert Module, and a random quote module.

I am still playing around with the site to try and get the layout the way that I want it, but it looks really great.

You can even load new themes, and change the look of the pages.
