i agree. worlds that aren't static and the same day in and day out are popular because there's always something new happening, something new to do other than killing the same old monsters, checking for the same old rares, xping till you reach the highest levels etc. one of things i've always liked and wished it was implemented in the games i play is to have monsters regularly invading player cities and having players work together to ward off the invasion. what'd keep this idea novel is to have different monsters all the time or a mix, and involve storylines.

Who Is Considering Switching?
dissipate replied to MajesticTreeFrog's topic in Websites and Web Designing
it's tempting to switch with macs being affordable and stable especially since i work with graphics, *but* most of the applications i use excluding my graphics applications are all windows apps. switching is just too inconvenient for now. -
what'd be neat is if we clicked each other's ads but that is illegal according to google lol. oh dear.

lol. my passwords aren't secure too but i don't think i can help it. i mean there are tons of things around me that need passwords and i'm not the kind of person that has a good memory so i use the same passwords for almost every thing and change them only maybe once every 6 months. good idea about using another language though.

Tips For Slim Health And Long Life Dos and Donts of Healthy life.
dissipate replied to OpaQue's topic in General Discussion
hahaha sweet. i'd suggest cardio for more than 30 minutes at a time and less than 60 minutes. less than 60 minutes because there's a huge risk of your body turning to your muscle as fuel if you go beyond 60 minutes. hmm i haven't heard of extraction process before. what i know about dieting is that yes, the body is smart as anything and it wants to keep you alive. if "dieting" means less consumption of food, your body will think you are starving and to keep you alive, your metabolic rate will drop, whatever food you eat will probably go towards fat storage and your body will use whatever muscle you have for fuel. whenever your body thinks there is a shortage of food, body fat will be the last thing burnt off. so even if you lose weight, what you've lost would probably be water weight, muscle and only maybe a very small percentage of fat. calories should never be excessively reduced. food choices are half as important. for example, if you think fruit juice is "good" and you can drink as much as you want, think again. one feels more "full" from eating a fruit because of the fibre that comes along with it. fruit juice comes without the fibre and you could drink a carton without feeling full. guess how many more calories you would have consumed. plus people don't usually consider the amount of calories they take in by drinking. a good example is a recent study reported by WebMD http://www.webmd.com/ a study was done where rats were given alcohol to drink and food to eat. when the rats consumed the alcohol, they consumed less calories from food. they also knew when to stop drinking alcohol... a rough equivalent of two to three drinks for humans. excellent posts musichere and mastercomputer, i agree! -
thanks harriko! everyone has abs.. it's just a matter of whether you're lean enough for them to be visible, meaning yeah, nutrition and exercise play bigger roles than ab work at that point of time. with bodyfat levels around 10%, men should be able to see some definition in their stomach region. if you can't see much with bodyfat around that level, then it's time to do some weighted ab work.
-
They work your abs but not the right way. Firstly, if you can do 400 crunches in 10 minutes, it probably means that there isn't enough resistance involved to give your abs a good-enough workout or there's a problem with form. Anyone can do 400 bicep curls in 10 minutes with a pencil if you get what I'm saying. Secondly, abs are like any other muscle - triceps, quads, calves. They should also be worked like any other muscle, which means a reasonable rep range, adequate resistance and appropriate rest, especially for gains. Could you describe your results and whether you changed your lifestyle in any way while using the machine e.g. nutrition, workout etc? Burns don't signify anything, including growth, except for the build up of lactic acid generally due to the high reps performed.

i had google ads for awhile but no one clicked lol so i took them off.

what people write about this topic is pretty interesting, though i have to say i do not believe we evolved from anything as i'm a Christian.

i'm single and i like being single. i'm usually cool with valentine's day unless people start rubbing being single in. however the idea of valentine's day in my personal opinion is kind of dumb. if i love someone, i show it all year round... every month, every week, every single day; and not just one special day you know what i mean? i don't understand why people go all out on this special day when real love should be shown everyday. -
Myth: Doing lots of situps and crunches will give me a six-pack.Fact: Crunches can only help to strengthen your abdominal muscles. There is a layer of fat covering your abs so if you want to see them, you have to lower your bodyfat levels.Myth: Buying those ab machines on TV media will give me a six-pack.Fact: Same as above, and you can only achieve lower bodyfat-levels through a good, clean diet, lifting heavy and doing enough cardio. The ab machines are useless. Use that money instead on a gym membership and good food.Myth: Doing such-and-such exercises will help tone and sculpt my body.Fact: There is no such thing as toning. There is no such thing as sculpting. The muscle either grows or it doesn't. For a more defined look, your muscle has to be bigger and you have to have lower bodyfat levels.Myth: Doing such-and-such exercises will help make my butt smaller.Fact: There is no such thing as spot reduction. You cannot choose where you lose bodyfat from. It usually firstly comes off from the place you last put it on, and the first place you put it on is usually last to come off. If you want a specific place to have less fat, you have to keep eating clean, lifting heavy and doing cardio.Myth: (Women) I don't want to lift weights as I don't want to look manly and big and bulky.Fact: The pro women bodybuilders you see all take steroids to get to that size. Normal women do not have the right hormones to get big all by themselves. A female personal trainer once said that she lifts heavy like the boys do, but all she does is get smaller and smaller.

i don't really agree with the war in iraq because WMD was a lame excuse and thousands of people have died including innocent people who have nothing to do with the war and were just going about their own lives.Bush can't give orders to invade another country just because he "suspects" they have WMD over there. the terrorists and people already hate the U.S., this is just going to make them hate the U.S., more and more and more.

thanks for doing so much for asia hasbang, we really appreciate it.

i like the movies better than the books strangely...
-
same here, i prefer paper books.. books that i can take around with me with pages to turn. i don't want to have to worry about the battery life of my gadget while i'm reading a book. the only time when i'd want to use an ebook is if i need to search through for specific words or phrases.

it'd be awesome because then i don't have to buy different shoes for different sports because of the differences in support!

God's Role In Natural Disasters Gods warning or Nature at work?
dissipate replied to hashbang's topic in General Discussion
i don't believe it was God's warning. if God wanted to warn us about something, a lot of people would have been clearly warned before the earthquake happened, and God would have made it very clear that it was a warning. and i don't think God was just sitting there doing nothing while the tsunami killed so many people. He would have been and would still be absolutely devasted at the loss of lives and the amount of destruction.but if you ask me why this happened or why God allowed it to happen, i don't know. it seems that lots of things here are unexplainable and will remain so till i die and meet God. one day i will know why, and in the meantime i do my best to trust God.maybe some good things came out of it though. so many countries are working together to help the victims. it was predicted that Thai militants were planning to attack parts of Thailand on Jan 4 but that didn't happen. people are working together and treasuring and appreciating each other even more. -
read the manual that comes along with it a few times and then try to install it. their old manual was horribly confusing but the new one is much better.

i think you know whether you really want to be friends with someone when you have absolutely no ulterior motives, you're purely interested in the person and in getting to know him/her better.
-
it's very difficult to find true friends unfortunately and to decipher who has ulterior motives and who doesn't. some people network with the aim of knowing as many people as possible so that if they're in trouble, they can ask for help.
