For those that like the IPB forums and want to use PHP-Nuke a standard PHP_nuke comes with the phpBB forums, but I have a modified version that you can download and use. This modified version comes with only one language supported (English) but you can add them if you want. When uploaded to your server it occupies about 8.5 Meg and loads quickly. NOTE IPB forums do not come with the program due to licensing requirements. So you have to have your own copy of IPB. The site is IPB Nuke and the download is IPB Nuke download Note also if you go to the Forums on the site that I have modified the bb codes on it...your bbcodes will be the standard boring grey buttons just like on this site.

Well if you like IPB forums and you still want Nuke then I have an IPB Nuke website that uses a modified form of PHP-Nuke 7.4 and it is kind of small and loads quickly (due to the fact that it only has 1 language file). If you use a standard dowload of PHP-Nuke there are 33 languages supported (this is shy it take so long to download) but even my other site that has all the languages is not that slow that depends on what modules and blocks that have been added to a Nuke to see what I mean look at this site IPB Nuke (by NukeXtra) and you can even download the file there. The file does not include the IPB program itself due to licensing requirements, so you would have to have your own IPB forums software. Have alook at the site and see how quick it loads, I just looked at it with a 56k modem.

If you think that IPB is the BB King you might be interested in my modified PHP-Nuke called IPB Nuke which uses the IPB forums ( I have modified the BB Code a little). To see a working PHP-Nuke with IPB forums go to IPB Nuke

I uploaded my IPB-Nuke site (a total of about 8.5 megabytes) but when looking at my disk usage I shows about 26 megabytes I know that it repeated the file in the WWW folder, I have since applied for and was approved for the upgrade to 150 megabyte which I appreciate, but in reallity I really only have 75 megabytes. Is my thinking wrong here or am I correct.

Problem with IE - Help please... Help please...
Houdini replied to kokushta's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Yeah I need to try that because I just reinstalled my OS and on one of my old version I had a tweek that let you right click and then you get BB Code options and can place smilies on any forum even if those options are available with the site. I will go there right after I finish this reply. -
Where did this myth that PHP-Nuke charges with the exception of a few months ago they did offer a version for ten dollars, but if you looked further that same version was available else where absolutely free. I have yet to pay the first penny for any version of PHP-Nuke and I have PHP-Nuke versions from 6.8 to the newest which is the 7.7.0.3. I tried XOOPS and didn't really like it and likeing both the phpBB forums and the Invision forums I have nukes running with both forums. I am dissappointed with the bbcode that are available with IPB but and eriting mods for that forum. I have just uploaded and am in the process of setting up a PHP-Nuke version 7.4 with IPB forums, it is referred to as IPB-Nuke and works quite well, of course just now setting it up the forums don't have much because I have not added mods or themes or anything like that yet but will. The site is at this LINK just for those that are curious.

Problem with IE - Help please... Help please...
Houdini replied to kokushta's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I tried Opera but did not really like it and since most of my users at least on my sites use IE or Mozilla (Netscape or Firefox) I need to be aware of some of the issues for those particular browsers. So mostly that is why I use those browsers, I am answersing this post with IE but am working on one of my sites with Firefox. It is is PHP-Nuke site that uses the IPB as forums and I am setting them up, and am looking for some modifications to the IPB to make some of my phpBB Users feel more at home with the IPB board. -
Login to your Control Panel (CPanel) then go to Fantastico Look For CMS and third on the list will be PHP-Nuke click it and it will install it for you, then you just set up the Super User in your new PHP-Nuke there will be a link that tell you about it.After you have set up your Super User (GOD Admin) I would then add at least one more admin, in case you forget you GOD admin login. Then I would login to the home page you should see a whole bunch of icons on the right hand frame, from there scroll down and find the only news article something like Welcome to PHP-Nuke then either select all and enter a space to erase the whole mess or at the very least go to the bottom of the edit page and select who can view this page and select Admins only because the default is all Users (this is very bad). If you do wipe out the message entirely then when you select the home link there will be just a page with blocks on the right and the left but nothing in the middle, this is because you have the news by default as the item displayed in the home (the center of the page) so you can either select under the administration news and write a little new news story to fill the void or put something else (a module) in the void.Any problems them post them and I'll help you through the process.

There is an IPB-Nuke program that uses IPB 1.3.0 only I have downloaded the program to try to get it to work with IPB 1.2.0f you can see what an IPB integrated with PHP-Nuke looks like I think it uses version 7.2 or 7.3 PHP-Nuke here is the official and only implementation of it I am aware of IPB-Nuke home page I can't get it work with my local machine, I did get a post that informed me that IPB Nuke doesn't work with XAMPP which is what I use I think I will upload it to the Xisto account I have and see what happens!

That helps alot, so does this mean that if you see a post where they replied to another post that they were banned after they had made that post, I have seen two, one inparticular was a fellow that had posted about 8 posts in a row with a whole bunch of useless code all about some kind of inane menu that they considered "cool" and for whatever reason decided to copys and paste the entire code in all these goofy posts...for that fellow I could see the reason for being banned it was a stupid program freely available and not worth reproducing in an area where most users probably have gone way past all that stuff. Thanks for the info...I am just one of those guys that likes to know things every now and then.

All images are contained within the PHP-Nuke theme folder itself, perhaps you would do better to use the PHP-Nuke HOWTO HERE or you could also try the Nuke Idiots Guide HERE . In the PHP-Nuke root folder you will find the following folders: includes, themes, modules, admin and blocks, and if you have any special addons other folders, but these are the main ones. Any theme you have downloaded must be placed in the themes folder, and new modules you download should then go into...the modules folder and the same with any block you have downloaded. To see your new theme, it can be done in one of to ways the first one most preferable which is to go to your account and if not logged in then log in and click the themes selection drop down box, you should now see the new theme that you downloaded amoung all the others. Select it and the page will now refresh with your new theme. You can also go into theAdminstration Control Panel for the PHP-Nuke and select Preferences then select the default theme for your site, if you choose your new theme it will be the theme that all users see when they access your site but are not members and are not yet logged in, if however they are currently logged in or they access your site and have checked the remember me option the site will present the theme that they have selected in their Your Account options, and since your theme is new they will not know about it so you might want to wrtie a little new article letting them know about it and at least give it a try.

I don't know what version PHP-Nuke wedjarl used or what modules or add on he put on his site but right out of the box PHP-Nuke is quite fast, and I find it acceptable (try looking at it with Firefox) Any system that load a bunch of graphics will slow down, if you put a Picture gallery on there then it has to load all that you could try using the cache for nuke The new version loads slower with the WYSIWYG editor if you use the advanced one but loads almost as quickly as the other versions if you just use the basic WYSIWYG editor. The newest version is 7.7.0.3 and is available right now. I once had XOOPS but never really was all that happy with it, and deleted it from my server, and like PHP-Nuke because of the phpBB forums, which I write Ported MODs for so that users can use these mods instead of the one that comes standard with PHP-Nuke. When I first started using Nuke I was upset because you couldn't use these mods and found a web site that had a few of them and then after some study I started writing my own because of the limited availability of Ported MODs for the Nuke, now I search for new MODs to port and have become quite proficient at it, some are impossible or at least not worth the effort (EasyMod is too much of a rewrite so forget Porting it) and there are some that only require a rewrite of the sql to make work.

I might have gotten some bad info on the neutron bomb but it is my understanding that it was intended to be used to basically wipe out the population of a small area and the radioactive effects were reduced to a minimal amount after a week or so and then all buildings etc were left intact, basically what the nuetron bomb is supposed to do is to vaporize any matter that contains water (the human body is 75% water) so it would just vaporize the target, this includes plants and animals and after the radiation levels are low enough the troope then occupy the target and sieze all weapons etc of the former (now disappeared bodies that turned into a steam cloud). It seems that as a tactical weapon it would or could have been used when all the 'insurgents' or terrorists were occupying mosques just set the neutron off and the problem is over, the only problems is that if there were any non terrorists there they would be turned into steam clouds also, but if given fair warning like "OK guys here is the deal anyone not fighting against the US or it's allies leave the area immediately or you will be vaporized, and if you are fighting against them you should surrender immediately and walk backwards with you hands in clear view and up in the air other wise you are considered a combatant and will be shot. The mosques or nothing would have ever been touched and if the terrorists had decided to not surrender then they would have just been turned into a big vapor cloud.

I am no genius, but I do know where to find certain things about PHP-Nuke ever sice I was a NewBee I wanted all I could find out about the CMS. Here Is some themes from Nuke Resources and you can go to this site also, they love making themes at this site for PHP-Nuke Nuke Code Theme Preview Page. Hope that helps you in a search for themes and if you want some MODs that work with your forums my site NukeXtra offers MODs that work with the PHP-Nuke Version of phpBB2. You can also try Ported Mods

I see some members that say group [banned] what does that mean, if they are banned does that mean they can't be on this site anymore and those are just posts they made before being banned? I just want to know.

I was going to say that if you use PHP-Nuke that there is a Nukeblog module that you just download then upload into your nuke site and then activate it and there is also the jorunal with PHP-Nuke and a journal is pretty much the same as a blog it is just called something else, so you could rename the jorunal module to Blog and it allow others to comment on these blogs etc. Since you didn't mention what you are using or are thinking of using it is kind of hard to tell you haw to go about making a blog.

It is simple, just encrypt your email. Or send your messages in a jpg that your friends have a key to unlock discarding the jpg and reading the content. It is hard to decode a picture or image.

How Did I Get Infected In The First Place? Answers here
Houdini replied to Mentalsatan's topic in Security issues & Exploits
I might be seeing things but the first post that I saw looked like it was almost all a quote. Did I miss something or did the user go back and edit his post. -
I had no idea of that I got the one with the 10 credits but I think I had 30 but ended up with 25 mb hosting I have right as of this post 50 posts, and about 32 days(no more single digit credits). So if I wanted to upgrade should I now apply for an upgrade? I desperately need the 150 mb of space for tutorials and the PHP-Nuke HOWTO manual as well as the Nuke Complete Idiots Guide.

Nuke 7.6 and above now 7.7.0.3 is out and hasa a WYSIWYG built inPHP-Nuke is free I have never paid a nickel for it (what in the world is delayware)? There are other places like Nuke Code, or Nuke Cpos or NukeXtra that offer their own versions of PHP-Nuke and there are many more people at the phpnuke.org besides FB you just don't see too much credit about it. What do you mean a clean code it is PHP and MySQL with some JavaScript, and XHTML.

I write Ported MODS for the phpBB forums for the PHP-Nuke CMS.When I went from phpBB2 to the PHP-Nuke I was not happy with the inabilty to find MODS that worked with the PHP-Nuke version of phpBB2. I did find a site that had some but that was not really enough, so I learned how to port these MODS over to the PHP-Nuke system and have ported many of them. The signature control MOD the BB Code Box, the Attachment MOD, a Buddy List, advanced quick reply, Forum Title colors, custom username color, admin-moderator custom colors, phpMyAdmin in your forums, and many more. Send me a PM to see the site and you can download what you want from there, along with fixes and hacks not available elsewhere (registration required).Enhance your Plian Jane PHP-Nuke today.

I made a post a long time back and mentioned that I would like to see a forum for the Nuke but don't know if this forum was added to that request but nevertheless I am happy to see this forum and will be here often especially when my sql server is down and I can't be on my main site.

look at the templates/(yourtemplate)/jumpbox.tpl file and that should have what you are looking for but the screenshot you offered, why don't you just attach the file? Then maybe we can see what you are talking about.
