You are welcome, it was simple that is what I love about PHP it can do some pretty neat stuuf with little effort. All you need is a goo reference on the date funtions, then you can format your time anyway you want, you could also get more sophisticated and have it refresh every second but that is just a little much.Glad it helped you out!

I came across a post that concerned PHP Designer 2005 and decided to give it a try (I like free stuff) I used to use Arachnophilia for html then I used Code Edit then I found HTML Kit a truly great free program (but no debugging) then I tried PHP Designer 2005.This program not only will speed up the debug but it looks for you php.ini and php.exe and will run the file right from your browser or the internal one. I write and edit alot of php files and this program has sped up my output by at least 400%, I can just hit the little debugger and know instantly if the change I made was right or wrong. It not only does PHP but also HTML Perl, CSS, C#, Java, JavaScript, SQL,VB, and XML OH yeah XHTML too. I still use HTML kit for some things like the ftp built in to edit my files on the web then reupload them after making whatever changes I want or need to make. For anyone that need a great free and small editor that will make you more productive then you need to try this program out, you will be glad you did.

It would help if you were more specific about what kind of freeware, one category alone would be overwhelming by itself. Graphics, audio, word processors, IDEs, Code Editors, Icon editors, FTP servers, FTP clients, web servers, database servers, and so on so your question leaves potentially a bunch of different answers depending on what the freeware is actually supposed to do.

That is easy with php and you could mix it into an html file (Xisto supports PHP so here's the big program. To see it work on your server just name the below tiny file something like time.php and put it on your Xisto server maybe in the root and then just typer http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ and you will see the time and if you need more about how to use it or include it in a header and or footer thenit could be displayed in the top and bottom of your pages. Here's the tiny code <?php$time=date("g:i:s;a");echo ($time);?> Hope that helps.

Get PHP-Nuke CMS (try it from the Fantastico in C Panel) then add the NukeBlog module to it and you are done except for setting the blog and site up the way you want it.

Help Needed To Create Login Script With Perl/cgi Need Script
Houdini replied to KnightEagle's topic in Programming
Your code if it were origionally login.cgi it is possible that it was perl but the 500 error from an apache server is a cgi program crashing you might need to set an .htaccess file in the root directory that calls the login.cgi could you show the code in a post like this snippet of perl? first check your shebang or hash bang at the very top of the file like this #!c:\apachefriends\xampp\perl\bin\perl.exeIf that is not set it can't find the perl.exe and won't work the above code is for my own local server Win XP Pro running Apache with Perl 5 PHP, and MySQL database server. Then the rest of the code should look something like this if it is Perl $result=$ENV{'QUERY_STRING'};&set_params;if ($logem{$result} eq "Y") {¬ification("L");}if ($email{$result} eq "Y") {¬ification("M");}print "Content-type: text/html\n\n";print "$msg{$result}\n";sub set_params{#The full path to your error log (not server log!) file. $errorlog="c:/apachefriends/xampp/cgi-bin/birdtrap.dat";#The e-mail address of the person to notify when an error occurs.#Be sure to put the \ backslash before the \@ at sign!!! $notify="your\@yourdomain.com";#The name of your site $sitename="NukeXtra PHP-Nuke to the Max";#The link the reader should follow home. $returnlink="http://nukextra/test/";#This is the URL to the directory holding your images. $imageurl="http://nukextra/eimages";You should be able to use the she bang of #!/usr/bin/perl/perl.exeor#!usr/bin/perl just try that first because Perl is not html and won't work at all, the server error is probably because your shebang or hash bang is -
Having Problems Setting Up A Home Network
Houdini replied to the_furious1's topic in Computer Networks
If they are seeing the other computers on the network he's at least halfway done and now all that is left is to set up sharing see pix below: Notice the arrow pointing to shared items with them being held by the little hand.. Right click whatever you want to share and you should see this menu, and if you dont then you need to enable file and print sharing. At least using Windows machines. For that try the Help and Support and in the little search box type file and print sharing and it should walk you through it. -
I just noticed that you are not yet a hosted member, and I looked over the requirements of your form, which would work weel with PHP or Perl (I prefer PHP) but when you get a hosting account with Xisto there is a cgiecho in the cgi-bin and there is also a cgimail from Matts Archive Scripts, there is a link in the C Panel to let you know how to set up the fields in your form and just for the heck of it I am playing with it, and also some other Perl scripts from Big Nose Bird that handles emails with TLDs of four charachters like .info or .name. You would use the cgiecho to test out your form and then view the results on your browser. Writing your script is not that difficult since it is just an HTML form and if necessary you can use JavaScript to force completion of fields even before submission (an alert tell them the form and what fields have not been filled out), but validation is not the same as verification, so a bogus email would only be verified by requiring a to get a carbon copy of the email and have a receipt requested, so you are getting into deep water there. If you would like to see what I have come up with that at least meets the form requirements then PM me.

Help Needed To Create Login Script With Perl/cgi Need Script
Houdini replied to KnightEagle's topic in Programming
AN http error of 500 to 505 is an internal server error, In the case of 500 it is and Internal Server Error. This code indicates that a part of the server (for example, a CGI program) has crashed or encountered a configuration error.I would check your Perl program or possibly find out about the configuration of the server which is an Apache running on a unix based machine possibly linux (just a guess), there is something wrong with that script.Since you are running a server side script like Perl then that is the most probable cause of your problems, have you considered trying PHP with MySQL also available on Xisto and millions of scripts for them both?Sorry to hear you had a problem with an XAMPP install I have never had a glitch and I have been using it for going on three years now, ever since 2002 anyway. -
Why don't you just put up your new Xisto account and then use an html or .htaccess line of code that redirects your users from you present site http://lwj88c.plock.org.pl/ to lets say http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Your users would never know that they are not at your existing site unless they look at the address bar, but they wouldn't have to remember anything and you could once they are on your page tell them to bookmarj or make your home page with Xisto a new favorite or bookmark or even replace the bookmark or favorite.

Upgrade Problem.. I have an account and it dosent upgrade
Houdini replied to andrwxsCOL's topic in Web Hosting Support
I am by no means an expert, but 10 (you only show 15 and it take 30 to upgrade) posts prior to getting hosting would roughly be equivilent to 10- 30 credits, any how when you got gosted you went from credits to days and if you have less than ten days showing now when you click the Free Web Hosting link in foums it will state in red how many hosting days you have and you will probably need mor, any way just keep posting and you will have enoughsoon, and I am sure an admin will soon respond to your query! -
That is an sql error that can be caused by a number of things, make sure that you have the proper chmod for your files, make sure that they are all there, and you might want to drop your database and reinstall it, if you can't login then it either can't find the authors table (if it its PHP_Nuke or phpBB2) and the only sql query in the common.php is below verbatim: $sql = "SELECT *[tab][/tab]FROM " . CONFIG_TABLE;if( !($result = $db->sql_query($sql)) ){[tab][/tab]message_die(CRITICAL_ERROR, "Could not query config information", "", __LINE__, __FILE__, $sql);}while ( $row = $db->sql_fetchrow($result) ){[tab][/tab]$board_config[$row['config_name']] = $row['config_value']; So the problem is probably a session problem but this might be because of the above stated improper file permissions. The common, php is used by phpBB as well as PHP-Nuke which uses phpBB for the Forums. If you are using phphBB and getting this error then probably you should look at the phpBB home page concerning file permissions. I could check the file permissions in the C Panel or with your FTP client, if you are using PHP-Nuke then go HERE and read about file permissions and while within that area the read on, it is the full manual for PHP-Nuke.

Help Needed To Create Login Script With Perl/cgi Need Script
Houdini replied to KnightEagle's topic in Programming
Download and install this fantastic Apache PHP, MySQL, Perl, Tomcat, Filezilla FTP server Mercury mailserver and all in one simple windows installer program and set up a server ready to go within 10 minutes of download. It is XAMPP and you can get it here XAMPP Home Page you will be glad you got it and save the trouble of configuring all you need to run a local server with PHP and MySQL. -
Audacity is a free open source and professional grade audio record edit program but due to licensing reasons it can not be packaged with an MP3 encoder but if you get LAME which is also free you can then edit and save wavs as MP3s or many other audio formats. LAME is the same engine that is used by WinAmp to encode their MP3's so why not have the same software as WinAmp. I offer both of these Utilities as downloads @ Download Page Link. They are quite small programs for what they do and the price is great FREE!

The Web space and the SQL are seperate look at the screenshot, notice they are listed seperately. If you do the math add 69.13 to 80.87 and it shows up as 150 MEG and since databases are more efficient at storing data they would use less space than normal files, so I never even think about all the posts and so forth on my database, plus you can always prune old data, like a 4 year old post, or a test forum that prunes all but the last 20 posts, or clears out certain forums and users on an ongoing basis.

Help Needed To Create Login Script With Perl/cgi Need Script
Houdini replied to KnightEagle's topic in Programming
Since this post was in the Perl & CGI you should really think about using PHP and a database like MySQL (both are free) and not that hard to learn. You can get PHP download here and you can get the latest MySQL download here. While it is possible to write an HTML code that would work it would be extemely slow and it would really eatup a lot of diskspace. Xisto gives you unliited database space so with all your data for your scripts being there you don't need to worry about running out of disk space, pluse you would have to write more acript for errors that then eatup even more disk space. Try PHP and look at the free scripts and in the C Panel for such stuff provided with an account here at Xisto. -
Second Reply and response AUDACITY https://sourceforge.net/projects/audacity/ along with LAME encoding used by Winamp are the best free and without a doubt the BEST regardless of cost (Download them) Just because something is free doesnot mean that it is garbage... I could give a list of FREE programs that outdo most of the ones that charge you for the privlidge of owning them...but that might look like spam!

I write programs that are included with my installs and give a little clue as to what they are for...I have also found that if you dual boot you should at least have Windows first...haven't looked into why Windows does not like oh=ther OSes but they are and they might have a particular way of allowing other OSes occupy the same machine that they are supposed to normally be in control of.My DVD from Nero is intended for a Windows Machine as is Win DVD also on the same CD install if you so choose. All my software though is PHP and MySQL and relates to PHP-Nuke or phpBB2 Boards, you may or may not use them all but they are included because those that download my software are either unable or too lazy to modify the PHP-Nuke Code to make things work, so I offer Packs that include thing already installed and ready to work for those that might want all such features on their CMS (Content Management Systems).I consider it value added kind of like an option on a car or SUV that come when you merely download my software. If you don't like the added software and have not looked at the docs about using it or going to a forum about such software don't get mad...educate yourself!

It would help if you at least showed us the database structure because fields are in tables and tables are in databases then you would know how to write a query to retrieve the table data (one particular field in this case) and after obtaining that data running a PHP script which would filter out the wanted or unwanted data here is and example of just a small table CREATE TABLE `authors` ( `aid` varchar(25) collate latin1_general_ci NOT NULL default '', `name` varchar(50) collate latin1_general_ci default NULL, `url` varchar(255) collate latin1_general_ci NOT NULL default '', `email` varchar(255) collate latin1_general_ci NOT NULL default '', `pwd` varchar(40) collate latin1_general_ci default NULL, `counter` int(11) NOT NULL default '0', `radminsuper` tinyint(1) NOT NULL default '1', `admlanguage` varchar(30) collate latin1_general_ci NOT NULL default '', PRIMARY KEY (`aid`), KEY `aid` (`aid`)) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1 COLLATE=latin1_general_ci; As you can see above all in single quotes are fields within a table called authors so from the limited information you gave it would be almost impossible to help someone answer your question.

Questions About Formatting Harddisk Having questions and am worried
Houdini replied to cyborgxxi's topic in Hardware Workshop
Make sure you have the product IDs and other codes, back up all your games to DVD or CDs, and or find all the original products with such codes and such. You must have a valid code for most modern software so BEFORE formatting PLEASE locate all IDs and codes and have them at the ready or you will spend hours loking for them...this I know from a very bad experience. Your machine will not have any viruses or such unless some of your software was already infected with malware or spyware or adware. Also try a free online can with Panda or any of the other conline virus and adware or spyware scans before you try a reformat or reinstall... it might just fix your problems without going through all the mess to begin with and run a good firewall like Zone Alarm free or otherwise. -
Commercial Web Hosting Questions just a few inquires
Houdini replied to organicbmx's topic in Websites and Web Designing
First of all all your subdomains would be tied to your domain in this case Xisto - Web Hosting(whatever extension .com .org and so on) So Just like here I have a subdomain called portedmods.{b]Xisto.com[/b]ith Xisto.com being the domain and portedmods being the subdomain I also have a subdomain that takes a different approach like dhost.info and then my folder which in my case is stevedemarcus that is addressed by http://dhost.info/stevedemarcus/steve/index.php. The scheme is set up by the domain owner through the DNS (Domain name server) in this case you are the one to make that determination on how your domain is accesses by your subdomain users... There should be instructions on setting this up by your domain host for you but if you have problems try back here to find out more. -
You should have tried XAMPP...before I found Traid or many other programs that installed Apache MySQL and PHP and it took me two weeks with reference matierial at hand with limited time on my hands I downloaded XAMPP and have never gone back to manually installing Apache with MySQL, PHP, PERL, TOMCAT, FileZilla, Mercury Mail, and even more! Just do a google or any search for XAMPP and try it out a minimum download of 23MEG but worth it!

You got that right, George is playing it right...these are people captured...not killed immediately on a battlefield...I am a Vietnam Veteran and possibly would have killed them before they killed me...circumstances unknown though they were captured as prisoners that were trying their best to kill our men in full uniform, while they were just wearing whatever garb they had...no insignia no rank, no nothing, therefore under the much lauded Geneva Convention they are what is considered enemy combatants (they weren't trying to help us rid of other enemys in the immediate vicinity)!
