Most ad services pay with a cheque, PayPal, or bank transfer. Google AdSense (in Canada and the United States, as well as some other countries) primarily offers cheques and EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer). A small forum could qualify, if there are quality posts and some dedicated users. To check how many visitors you have on a forum, you could simply look at the stats. If you have cPanel, go to "Web Stats" and choose Awstats. This tool has been very helpful to me. I think that you could probably try to develop your site first, and possibly improve the design. Afterwards, it would be a good idea to refine your content. At that point, you could try signing up for an ad service. In fact, by then, you could be 18!

My cPanel account username is "[edit: removed content]", and I signed up for Plan 1 (the lesser of the two plans). When I logged in at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/, the account worked, but there was no way to add or remove any addons or parked domains. The primary domain I'm using is "[edit: removed content]". From experience, I know that it is possible (and applicable) to delegate a subdomain to other nameservers. Although I have Managed DNS and [edit: removed content] is managed elsewhere, it is possible, through the modification of NS records, to delegate a subdomain. However, ns1.trap17.com and ns2.trap17.com are virtually non-existent.

I've been having some great difficulty trying to delegate my domain to Xisto.com. After a little research to see whether I should use the IP addresses of the nameservers, I found out that my ISP's DNS servers have no record of "ns1.trap17.com" or "ns2.trap17.com".Are there IP addresses for them, or are they down? At that address, the tutorial doesn't only explain how to set up Apache, but also PHP, MySql, phpMyAdmin, and Zend Optimizer, for Windows. In short, it explains how to create a W.A.M.P (Windows-Apache-MySql-PHP) server. The only thing not really good about the tutorial is that it doesn't use the most recent software as examples. Actually, if you're using a domain of your own and you've created a subdomain (hence subdomain.domain.com or subdomain.example.com), then the files associated with that subdomain are in a folder of the same name, located in "public_html". Of course, if you're referring to subdomain.domain.com simply as username.trap17.com, then what I just said doesn't apply.

"www" isn't exactly a shortcut. Technically, it's an alias for the "public_html" folder. When you use the File Manager or a good FTP client, it'll show a little arrow in the icon to signify that it's a shortcut.

That site has too many ads. Besides, all it really provides are a FEW templates, and the rest are links to affiliates, partners, and advertisements. It's pretty annoying, since once I visited a site just like it, then clicked a link to a partner site, and when I wanted to download a template from that partner site, it was a link back to the original site.Site 1 -> Site 2 -> Site 1 -> Site 3 -> Site 2, etc.

How much does one "view" and one "click" usually pay for AdSense members? I don't see how someone could earn $2 from just "a few clicks" unless either a "few clicks" means 20 clicks, or you get $.50 per click.

I find the ads on this web site to be pretty annoying. I usually don't click on distracting banners or big animated pictures unless it actually has to do with what I want to get to. This is one reason why I like Google AdSense better than all those ads at the top of the page.I really wonder, if Xisto wants to make money off of ads, shouldn't non-intrusive ads and ads that are actually related be more preferable than distracting banners?Also, I believe that the space provided is enough for most people that use it legitimately. There's usually no need for more, unless that user is providing downloads, etc.
