  1. We landed.If we really wanted to stage something we would have done it before Yuri Gagarin went into space first. Although I wonder if Apollo 13 could have been a result of that fake landing. Of course I would take what wikipedia says as a grain of salt, for all the bad publicity they been having lately. I think that conspiracy theorist have to much time on their hands to think we faked the landing.Now going back to the moon now, would be pointless, we don't have the budget to do so and I would think are allies would think it would be stupid of us to risk something like that. Of course it has been the stepping stone we need since sci-fi and of course anime that shows us in outer space. They admit it will be very expensive, I wouldn't doubt the upkeep would be expensive either.Of course think what kind of dangers we could be facing, solar wind from our sun, the lack of air, meteorites and all the other small debris that is floating out there, that was place by us. It is useful but just as dangerous to do so at the same time.
  2. I would say that it is a start except the following I maybe no PS CS2 expert but anyone can whip out a good design, their are hundreds of tutorial sites out their that go into some detail. So anyone could master that little rule in a blink of an eye. I would either drop it or reword, because they way you have it, in order to become a staff member you would have to have won a few awards. Sounds kind of pompous and also fact those who don't have great PS skills can still do better in other area's of website/forum management. I been around the block a few times that people will begin to think they are better then others just because they won a award.
  3. Interesting that they are going after word, been what since 97 that people tried to attack a computer that way?Of course how many people use word to read email's? I know you can connect through outlook express through word to send it. But other then that most people send text files most of the time. I don't know to many non-businesses that send word documents.Still is interesting though, although they didn't mention word 2007 though . But we should expect a update to pop up in a short time or not, because by then everyone will have vista (yeah right).
  4. Been a long time since this happen, but I believe to correct this was to change your cookie settings to hold in more info on the forums.I know IPB doesn't have a timed log out feature like vbulletin.But like I said it's been a very long time since this has happen, don't know if anyone else remembered it or not. I know it happen to me a few times before. But I believe it corrected itself.
  5. Interesting site don't find to many sites that cut out the middle man (dating) and go straight to marriage.Of course if you have seen one dating site you have seen them all, clean design from the looks of it, a bit plain though.Other then that it's just another dating site nothing to exciting there.
  6. to help out we would need to know what videos you are trying to play, what software your using to play that video and what your computer specs are.Most likely it could be the codecs that you have or the video itself.
  7. Finally figuring out what table you were talking about I adjusted the code as such. <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ xmlns="http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"><title>Untitled Document</title><style type="text/css">html, body{ background-color: #111840; margin:0; padding:0; text-align:center; } .wrapper{ position:relative; top: 20px; width:100%; text-align:left; margin-left:auto; margin-right:auto;} .div1 {background: url("zooey_files/zooey1.jpg"); background-repeat: no-repeat;position:relative; top: 20px; left: 200px; padding: 0px; margin: 0px 0 0px 0; width: 631px; height: 563px; }.div2 {background: url("zooey_files/thebody.jpg"); background-repeat: no-repeat; position:relative; top: 20px; left: 200px; padding: 0px; margin: 0px 0 0px 0; width: 631px; height: 802px; }.content { position:relative; top: -10px; left: 0px; text-align:left; margin-top: 0px; margin-left: 10px; color: #000000; width: 100%; height: 802px; }#navcontainer { position:relative; top: 383px; left: -23px; margin: 0px 0 0 43px; padding: 0; height: 0px;}#navcontainer ul { border: 0; margin: 0; padding: 0; list-style-type: none; text-align: center;}#navcontainer ul li { display: block; float: left; text-align: center; padding: 0; margin: 0;}#navcontainer ul li a { background: #fff; width: 78px; height: 18px; border-top: 1px solid #f5d7b4; border-left: 1px solid #f5d7b4; border-bottom: 1px solid #f5d7b4; border-right: none; padding: 0; margin: 0 0 10px 0; color: #f5d7b4; text-decoration: none; display: block; text-align: center; font: normal 10px/18px "Lucida Grande", "Lucida Sans Unicode", verdana, lucida, sans-serif;}#navcontainer ul li a:hover { color: #930; background: #f5d7b4;}#navcontainer a:active { background: #c60; color: #fff;}#navcontainer li#active a { background: #c60; border: 1px solid #c60; color: #fff;} .table { position:relative; top: -804px; left: 323px; background-color: #111840; text-align:left; margin-top: 0px; margin-left: 10px; color: #FFFFFF; width: 241px; height: 200px; }.table1 { position:relative; top: -794px; left: 323px; background-color: #111840; text-align:left; margin-top: 0px; margin-left: 10px; color: #FFFFFF; width: 241px; height: 200px; }.table2 { position:relative; top: -784px; left: 323px; background-color: #111840; text-align:left; margin-top: 0px; margin-left: 10px; color: #FFFFFF; width: 241px; height: 200px; }.table3 { position:relative; top: -774px; left: 323px; background-color: #111840; text-align:left; margin-top: 0px; margin-left: 10px; color: #FFFFFF; width: 241px; height: 165px; }</style></head><body><div class="wrapper"><div class="div1"> <div id="navcontainer"> <ul id="navlist"> <!-- CSS Tabs --><li id="active"><a id="current" href="Home.html">Home</a></li><li><a href="Products.html">Products</a></li><li><a href="Services.html">Services</a></li><li><a href="Support.html">Support</a></li><li><a href="Order.html">Order</a></li> </ul> </div></div><div class="div2"><div class="content"></div><div class="table">TEST</div><div class="table1">TEST</div><div class="table2">TEST</div><div class="table3">TEST</div></div></div></body></html> I added enough boxes to cover the length of the bottom image. Am I to assume you plan on having your content box expand as well? EDIT #1 I added in a mini nav can change the colors later, added in some test so you know where to put in.
  8. Here you go jasper it it more align with the css, the set up is easy to understand the only thing you need to remove once your all done is the border. The reason I put the border there is that then you know where to begin the text and the rest of the content. <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ xmlns="http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"><title>Untitled Document</title><style type="text/css">html, body{ background-color: #111840; margin:0; padding:0; text-align:center; } .wrapper{ position:relative; top: 20px; width:100%; text-align:left; margin-left:auto; margin-right:auto;} .div1 {background: url("zooey_files/zooey1.jpg"); background-repeat: no-repeat;position:relative; top: 20px; left: 200px; padding: 0px; margin: 0px 0 0px 0; width: 631px; height: 563px; border-bottom:solid 1px; }.div2 {background: url("zooey_files/thebody.jpg"); background-repeat: no-repeat; position:relative; top: 20px; left: 200px; padding: 0px; margin: 0px 0 0px 0; width: 631px; height: 802px; }.content { position:relative; top: -10px; left: 0px; text-align:left; margin-top: 0px; margin-left: 10px; color: #000000; width: 100%; height: 802px; } <!-- TABLE --> table.servicesT{ font-family: Verdana;font-weight: normal;font-size: 11px;color: #404040;width: 320px;background-color: #fafafa;border: 1px #6699CC solid;border-collapse: collapse;border-spacing: 0px;margin-top: 0px;}table.servicesT td.servHd{ border-bottom: 2px solid #6699CC;background-color: #BEC8D1;text-align: center;font-family: Verdana;font-weight: bold;font-size: 11px;color: #404040;}table.servicesT td{ border-bottom: 1px dotted #6699CC;font-family: Verdana, sans-serif, Arial;font-weight: normal;font-size: 11px;color: #404040;background-color: white;text-align: left;padding-left: 3px;}.servBodL { border-left: 1px dotted #CEDCEA; }<!-- END TABLE --></style></head><body><div class="wrapper"><div class="div1"></div><div class="div2"><div class="content"><table summary="Services, or Links box template" class="servicesT" cellspacing="0"><tr><td colspan="2" class="servHd">Services or Links box template</td></tr><tr> <td><a href="#">Onesey</a></td> <td class="servBodL"><a href="#">Twosesy</a></td></tr><tr> <td><a href="#">Scary FUD</a></td> <td class="servBodL"><a href="#">Navigate the Hierarchy of Fear</a></td></tr><tr> <td><a href="#">About Us</a></td> <td class="servBodL"><a href="#">World Class Talent</a></td></tr><tr> <td><a href="#">See it NOW!</a></td> <td class="servBodL">Staff Attrition <a href="#">Statistics</a>/<a href="#">Status</a></td></tr><br /></table></div></div></div></body></html> EDIT-I DID some more updates to it added a small table to show were you would want to start roughly in content but you can erase the the table and go from there. EDIT #2-Ok After realizing some alignment problems it's fix now so any browser set at 1024x768 will see it without scrolling left or right
  9. I think the reason why the runescape freaks find this is site is but dumb luck in a search engine. I know I have asked several runescappers and of course never got an answer because by then they are just spamming.
  10. To me the domain is just a name, what follows that domain determines what it could mean to anyone. Xisto is a community of people getting together and having a good time. The bonus being free webhosting.Yeah it's a subdomain, but what most people don't realize that this a sub domain that packs more then most TLD that offer very little.Should it be changed no, because if it were to be changed it would have some corny name like freesubdomainhosting.com With trap you would have to figure out what the website is all about.
  11. Finally another person to drive me around and what not, first I need to go to the the mall and do some shopping, then the arcade, then to expensive restaurant, of course you will be paying for all of this albus. your birthday cake
  12. well if you pay for the accommodation's including the plane ticker then sure, other then that using the shoutbox or im or chat room is just find and dandy with me.Plus first chance I you all get, most of you will rob me blind.
  13. I believe it is to better monitor the websites in the xisto. In terms of who visits and what not. Because with shared IP it will be a bit tricker to track down those trying to spam using those website as a gateway to send their emails.Also if for some reason you cannot get to the site through the regular means you can use the ip number to get to the site.
  14. Although this is a great idea, it's not really new. I read some where last years that some people were trying to develop something similar to what is mentioned in the article. I believe it was some sort of rice paper (could be the same thing). Although I haven't heard much about since then.However due to the fact that American business men are greedy I doubt their will be much of a profit to be made from this. Except for companies that store Terabytes worth of info in huge databases. although I might have missed this in the article they didn't mention the fact how hard this paper was. If you seen paper get soak you notice how quickly it gets torn apart, so the question would be how sturdy this can be due to the fact its biodegradable?
  15. Beta's been out for a few month's, had the pleasure of testing it out and the set up to it is sweet. I like the new profile set up, it makes it more interactive and in a way cut down on the number that would be need to make them more fun.From looking at invisionize.com most of the major mods have been update while the beta as still out. Although I highly doubt to much of the credit mod will need to be change. Most likely the updates would be made through how the credit mod handles the posts.
  16. From looking at these two sigs I can tell you want got you beat.-Lack of depth in your sigs-lack of color-Text Killed you big timeThe standards have changed in sig designing now and your styles are those form 2 years ago.I recommend that you recheck the popular gfx sites and see what are hte new standards.
  17. Greenbay Packers, born and raised in Wisconsin simple enough.Wisconsin Badgers born and raised in Wisconsin as well.
  18. Interesting template like the fact your using the whole image of the anime cat girl.The one thing I notice right away is on the left side is that part of the content box is sticking out by maybe a 2/2.5 pixels.Next thing I notice is hte size of the image, the banner is huge, if your banner is that big hopefully you crunch it down a lot or you will be suffering big time lag when people upload it. I still think it will look good at roughly half the size you got going on.now with the image, by the looks of it you cut it yourself or you took an existing image and made it larger. If it is the first one then I suggest that you re cut it but instead of using the wand tool zoom in and then use the eraser tool.Now if you did it the other way use a blur tool and blur it at 2-3 to get rid of some of the pixelation. However when your resizing it make sure it's equal to all sides so it won't pixelate like that.I would drop the side bars since you want the tail to be connected and not chopped off like that.Next thing you should change is the content headers from white to maybe a dark purple/pinkish color so it can be seen better and not blind the user.Should be interesting what this looks like fully coded.
  19. The good news about Microsoft Vista just keeps piling up I guess. Although I don't think this hasn't been done since windows 95 and 98. I do believe you can hack a computer through ports.Now correct me on this but from what I am reading in theses posts is that Windows kernel will only allow legit software or will it allow only Microsoft legit software?Because by the sound of it in order for the software to run properly it needs to make some changes to the kernel in order to run and update itself from time to time. I know the Business version of Vista is out I only can imagine what those business are going through right now. Spending millions in buying or updating their computers just to accept vista. Then of course find out any programs they made are now useless because vista is locking them out.But with the security thing with 8 different versions out you know that it will only take one of those versions to crack the system. Knowing Microsoft the coding will be the same and that hack could be universal. Bill gates will be making millions just on the fact that computer companies have to build computers just to be able to run vista with no problems.I was looking around and it was said that one of beta's up to RC1 is over 12 gigs. Man thats a lot and from what I am hearing most of what they are offering for applications are complete junk anyways. So the question is how many of those applications can be uninstall and still have vista run properly?Then the ultimate question would be which OS version of Vista will you get? by the sounds of it I am already looking at Business edition or the Ultimate edition as the one to get.
  20. I have to disagree about the lag for some reason last few weeks on and off firefox straight up freezes on me. Although I haven't seen that from IE 7. Of course I only use I IE when looking at movie trailers and what not.I think the the reason the applications my not work is that your using an outdated .NET Framework and I do do believe that .NET will be working with IE7.Now the other reason could be that your applications were programmed for IE6 in which basically you have to update the coding to your applications and then they should be able to work.
  21. I am with dooga it's always good to update things with a graphic or two but seriously vista is so resource eating it's not even funny. Even though my laptop is compatible to handle vista I don't think it can .although I am somewhat interested about Office 2007 but again what really has change?A small amount of code has changed to make it work on Vista ooooh I want to blow $400 for that :rolleyes:The only other change would have to the eye candy...YawnWhat should have been worked which I highly doubt was the dictionary and the spell checker. I used it enough times to know that the spell checker was the best thing to have but it still had it's bugs.But I guess we will see what happens when the 20 million updates start showing up.
  22. Well they do mention that the fact he had an open head wound lead to the assumption that he took a blow to the head. Then of course concluded that the mummification process did that to his skull.However regardless what the evidence shows who knows what really happen, all they know they he died as a teenager. We could only assume that a leg wound and head wound had something to do with it. For all we know he could have just had a straight up heart attack.remember they do remove the organs, so If they did survive or at least a small part of those organs survive (which I highly doubt) then maybe they could show a bit more how he died.
  23. Funny story on that my XPS the cd-rom quit on me about 2 weeks after I got it. They told me it happens sometimes so I suggest get a hold of tech support and jsut get it replaced. Your warranty should still be could.But usually when a cd-rom makes noise it's abotu to crap out on you.
  24. you are correct the more the black hole eats the bigger it gets. I do believe that the larger of the two black holes would eat the other. I do believe that scientists did discover two black holes next to each other I would have to look that up to find out. Or some quad star formation around a black hole. Did some website searching Found out that depending on how hot the star gets determines it's color so a blue giant is nothing more then a very hot star. But found a better break down of what you posted in your last post Sun-like Stars (Mass under 1.5 times the mass of the Sun) --> Red Giant --> Planetary Nebula -->White Dwarf --> Black Dwarf Huge Stars (Mass between 1.5 to 3 times the mass of the Sun) --> Red SuperGiant --> Supernova --> Neutron Star Giant Stars (Mass over 3 times the mass of the Sun) --> Red SuperGiant --> Supernova --> Black Hole But finding this from another site I found it interesting So in reality it all depends on how big (mass) the star gets by the time it's ready to explode. Of course do they factor in the surrounding area when the star explode? I know that the size of the star determines what happens to it but what about the stuff around. This is a scary thought http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Imagine that black holes could travel just a bit a fast like that.
  25. That's a bummer to hear nigai. Don't blame yourself for this coffee shop's bad business practices (coffee at 3 am ug). Also you don't need to feel like your abandoning them, because if they are treating their hard working employee's badly I would walk and tell them to drop my last paycheck in the mail. Also I would be pissed as to why I am bring switch around without being told a head of time. Instead of finding out 1 day before it happens. Which I doubt is the case. (maybe) That should be easy just ask them those questions in the interview or do some research on them and see what they are like as employers. Or you can ask those that work there and see how they feel about the job and what not. I wouldn't be scared whats the worse that could happen you don't get so you move on. That why you pick 3-4 places that are hiring and submitting your application then if you don't get it you got the other ones to rely on as well. A good suggestion would be ot have a friend along for the moral support when you drop it off and to keep your mind off of it while doing it. Almost like delivering newspapers to 100 different houses. Hopefully this helps you out and make sure to let us know.
