  1. serverph; as you have mentioned about the Yahoo "aliases", Google offer this service also but you cannot pick your aliases as they are simply based off your main gmail email address, many users call this the dot trick and I find it really useful especially when signing up on websites. It works as follows:You own emailaddress@gmail.com, periods in the email will still redirect to the main email address so you can have a list of emails like:emaila.ddress@gmail.comem.ailaddress@gmail.comemailadd.ress@.gmail.comAnd they will all forward mail to emailaddress@gmail.com, sites interpret these addresses as new emails but Gmail interpret these all as one address. :)Also regarding the main post, It's so weird that you have completely exhausted your gmail accounts capacity.I recommend that you get a domain (free ones work, .co.cc etc.) and register your domain with Google Apps Standard (for free), this would give you lots of email addresses that all redirect to one email address with lots of space.See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catch-all
  2. My ISP's performance is terrible; it's just plain useless. We can't download movies or anything remotely copyrighted as my ISP doesn't "like" it.
  3. What is the first thing you think of when you hear the word "shopping"? I think of a bus. (local shopping city is around 25 mins away) What is your favorite shopping store and/or website? I love Gamestop and Amazon. What merchandise do you buy most frequently (excluding groceries and other absolute necessities)? Mostly electronics and clothing How often do you make a purchase on a SINGLE item that costs $100 (USD) or more? 4-5 times a year. How do you like to shop (store, online, email/phone)? In Store is the best, and then online, I never shop via email/phone. When was the last time you seriously shopped for a loved one (if ever), such as for a Christmas gift? Last Christmas, I guess? (Around the 8th December) Do you browse, even if you don't have money to spend, or plain didn't plan to spend it? Yeah, always, good to know what's on offer.
  4. Apple have indirectly said that the iPod touch/iPad is their attempt as a gaming console because of the "large" selection of applications available via their App Store.Only problem is; both pieces of hardware have no capability to handle applications that are remotely good or worthwhile unless the hardware has been jailbroken, and even then, seems to slow my iPod down for some reason.Hopefully they will attempt to make a nice gaming console (within a reasonable price) that will try and compete in this quick changing electronics market, but currently, Microsoft and Sony are currently dominating the market and will continue to do so if they keep producing such quality products and their developers keep producing fantastic games also.
  5. I honestly the Kinect software is extremely useless and will not impact on the console in any way: Microsoft seem to be fooling themselves that everyone will want a Kinect but this is not in fact the case.I've tried it at a local event in my country and found the system itself very unresponsive and couldn't track myself or my friends correctly. The range of games they will be releasing so far look terrible also so I definitely will not be purchasing the hardware.I remember when EyeToy for the Playstation 2 came out, and to me, this hardware doesn't seem much different in tracking the player.Just my two cents.
  6. Trust me, this has happened multiple times to me on social networking sites, such as Facebook. If you ever use Chat Roulette or the like, NEVER reveal your email address to users who think you are "so hawt and sxc" as they usually end up finding your Facebook account and if they dig further, more personal information.
  7. Never knew that; wow. I have to admit, I've tried copying bills for fun too, they never come out right though or look pretty damn bad. Here's something that you probably already know but I find it really interesting: https://www.engadget.com/2006/01/20/fun-with-photoshop-currency-detection/ It's Adobe Photoshop's currency detection feature to prevent fraud And did you know? "In case you were interested, it's not only Photoshop that has currency detection systems built in (with undisclosed algorithms) but also many printers and scanners." This topic is really interesting, thanks OP.
  8. Yes, I have a mobile phone and have done so for many years. (I'm 18)I personally think they are the fabric of our society; "Let me just call him and tell him we'll be late" opposed to, let us write a letter telling him of our lateness.Without cell/mobile phones, we wouldn't have made technological breakthroughs such as we have today. In the past they could've only dreamt of being able to stay in contact with one another 24/7 or be able to contact friends and family across the world with a push of a couple of buttons instead of waiting for your letter being sent via Postal Mail.
  9. What does everyone think of this art print? I, myself, did not create it but it was available for purchase on another site. I think the design is amazing, it just looks, well, great.

    Dab Here

Welcome to KS dab Just took a look at your hosting company, awesome prices, the design looks nice, did you design it yourself?Hope to see you around!
  11. I've noticed this also; I prefer to not use eBay as a selling/buying site because I find them very unreliable and unhelpful with it comes to helping you getting the seller banned and removed from the eBay site, they don't care and I feel like they never want to help me. PayPal are nearly 10x worse, if you have purchased something, they always seem to side with the seller simply because they don't want to lose money. If they believe you have committed fraud they will "lock" your account simply because they just want to earn interest from you not being allowed to use YOUR money.
  12. Hey web_designer!Sorry to hear about this.Have you been using any applications on Facebook recently that are new and you haven't used before? If so, revoke access to the applications here: /login.php?next=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fsettings%2F%3Ftab%3Dprivacy&_fb_noscript=1 and then click "Edit your settings" down on the bottom left then click remove and select the applications you do not trust to remove them.Good move changing your password, if you have not already, may I recommend also turning on login notifications by visiting here: /login.php?next=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fsettings%3Fref%3DmbClick&_fb_noscript=1 the "change" beside account security and select "yes" and submit. This means you will get an email telling you the times when you login in the future to prevent unauthorized access.Good luck!Sean
  13. If you would like help, what email provider are you using for your site? Please provide this information so we will be able to provide you with instructions and help for automating those registrations for your email addresses
  14. I only got 8 emails today, 4 were from Facebook and 4 from friends replying to emails I sent them.Usually I get around 6-7 emails a day. I remember receiving around 20,000 emails in around 2 months because of spam sites etc.
  15. I honestly think MobileMe is way too costly, it would be handy for businesses however, but myself as a personal user am not interested. I use DropBox and it is an amazing service and I can get 2GB of space for free and an extra 250mb for everyone I refer to their site.
  16. Currently, I'm using Yahoo as my main mail provider, it's suitable for the small amount of mail I am sending and it provides excellent spam prevention but sometimes disallows valid emails. :unsure:For business usage, I use Google Apps since it is provided by the company I work for, and as with Gmail the quality of the service is second to none but can sometimes be laggy sending, but not receiving mail.
  17. Honestly, flash websites are unnecessary, they have severe lag and sometimes it is complicated for members to use the interface as they need to have flash player installed.Make sure if you make a flash site, that you have a HTML based site also for members with Dial-Up and members who don't have flash player and cannot download it.Good luck with your site
  18. Could you please download and run the following program, HiJackThis?(http://www.antivirus.com/security-software/index.html) Run the test and post the results here, we'll be able to provide a better removal solution if we knew the exact Trojan/virus causing the problem. Sean

  20. There may be many reasons why you want to block the Spotify platform from your network; the main usage that it can be used for is to block it while you are playing on PSN or XBL (gaming platforms), this is to prevent lag by Spotify and allow you to have a flawless gaming experience. How to block Spotify, block outgoing and incoming ports 4070 on your router.(Spotify's IP address is 78.31.8.19, if required)Other IP addresses to block on the router's firewall are:Address: 78.31.8.14Address: 78.31.8.15Address: 78.31.8.16Address: 78.31.8.17Address: 78.31.8.18Address: 78.31.8.30Address: 78.31.8.146(They all belong to Spotify's servers)
  21. Too many companies made too many social networking platforms at once, Wave was one of the ones that failed. Myself, I am not bothered that it has been discontinued as I never used it as it was basically a badly copied Twitter platform, but my friend thinks that it will be a loss on Google's behalf.
