  1. I try really hard to avoid those commercials. I have been singing for over 10 years now and when I listen to something like that it sounds like someone scratching a chalk board. I can't stand it when children sing, they sound very unprofessional. I hate flat notes and I hate sharp notes... they make me cringe. The fact that they're singing pop songs where half of the original artists can't sing themselves is completely hilarious.I know that they use to cherish young boys voices hundreds of years ago because they could go really high... but these kids were taught to sing by bishops and other people in the churches to be able to sing. Now when I hear these kids singing all I hear is kids cheering the song not singing it. Even just watching American Idol or Canadian Idol I have to critisize others singing ability. I can tell when they are flat or when they are sharp. I have taken singing lessons for the last 4 years and I have been in choral/choir for 10 years. I know a lot about singing, I might not be a pop sensation... but I can hit notes higher then Britney Spears or Ashlee Simpson can even wish to hit and sound good. These kids may be connecting to a younger audience that don't know the difference between good singing and bad singing. I think it's great for younger children who are not ready for bras, lingerie, and a lot of butt. I support it for the kids, not so much for myself. If the kids continue to buy these rather then becoming a fan of the real thing (ie/ Britney Spear) then it's not that bad.
  2. I don't think that is right at all. The dogs and the lockers are alright but the strip search is really not necessary. I would feel absolutely violated if I was being under a strip search and to be found out that I didn't have anything on me. I also think it's wrong because alot of students are under aged and that just really wouldn't be right at all. Even if they are guilty of having it on them they still shouldn't have to resort to strip searching. The dogs should be able to smell it out anyways so they really don't need it. A dogs scent can't be masked by whatever you're hiding... no matter where you have it. Unless you swallow it maybe... but I doubt you're going to get anywhere with a strip search if it's swallowed. So in a nut shell... I believe it's wrong, and sick.
  3. I never really liked pokemon, but I remember pretending to like it. It was a huge fad when I was in grade 6... which was about 7 years ago. I didn't want to feel left out so I bought a hell of a load of Pokemon merchindise just because everyone else did.I like to pretend to know what I am saying now adays when I pretend to be the main character or someone, usually I just end up looking like an idiot.I've played maybe one game of Pokemon and it was that one where you talk into the microphone and Pikachu listens and does your commands... it was a peice of crap. It never worked! I can't remember which game console it was on, but I remember it not working. So have fun with your pokemon games, not a fan myself but that's just me.
  4. I strongly believe that homosexuality is perfectly normal. I have no problem what so ever with people being gay, lesbian or bisexual. I am a proud and active member of GSA: Gay Straight Alliance. I believe that someone should have someone to love whether it be that of the opposite or same sex. I am not gay or lesbian, but I do have a strong belief that it is right and there is nothing wrong with it what so ever. I also believe in others different opinions as well, I am not one to try change what they think. I will indeed say something if I hear any prejudice remarks to those who are gay/lesbian. I don't believe in bashing anyones life style, but I do believe in having your own opinions just not stating it to make those feel bad that happen to be gay/lesbian.
  5. I live in Canada, but I have vacationed in the U.S. I like going shopping there too, in my city the biggest store for clothes is a Old Navy. I absolutely love New York, it's the best place I've been in the U.S so far. I also like vacationing here in Canada, the mountains of British Columbia are gorguous. The camping out here is no different from camping in the U.S but I seem to like it out here because it's close to home unless a tree falls on you or what not.If I could say which is the best place to live... I would say Canada. Canada is my home and native land (har). My culture is Canadian is another reason too. I like to US, but to an extent that I would only go there on vacations. My reason for that is because the U.S has much more of population then Canada has, and I am closterphobic. I am not a huge people person. My city would be compared to as a small town in the U.S. >.>
  6. The first computer I ever owned was an apple. My first computer that could use internet and such was a computer that was made by a guy who used spare parts off of other computers to make my first. It only lasted two years, the fan and the power thing broke.
  7. I believe that I have already heard of this happening, I believe it was in my history class when we learned about cloning and what not. I also watched a movie on it and that many religious activists are going against it because they are afraid that we are going against what God made them out to be. I saw that they had talked about making sure a kid that would most have brown eyes and brown hair could be enhanced to make the kid have blond hair and blue eyes with the help of genetically enhancing the way they are as a fetus... or I embryo... I can't remember but it's what I heard. I'm not sure if I'm accurate at what I said, I only heard it. Also I liked Gundam Seed, but I missed too much of the show and the reruns just started so no use in finishing for a while.
  8. I believe I only one a contest once... I was suppose to write a poem/storie or a song for my cultures annual get together and out of all of the entries, I won it. It was a poem about the war in Canada a century or two ago and stuff. I believe I won two hundred dollars, I was about 9 at the time so that was a lot of money to me. I have won a lot of draws, such as draws for books, CD's, a concert, and a paint job for my car... that's about it. They were just small draws though, maybe 10-30 people would enter so my chances at being lucky are unlikely... just too many draws going on.
  9. Disorder | Rating Paranoid: High Schizoid: Moderate Schizotypal: High Antisocial: High Borderline: Very High Histrionic: High Narcissistic: Very High Avoidant: Very High Dependent: High Obsessive-Compulsive: High I answered all of these truthfully, and my lowest is only moderate. Pathetic... har. I have taken this quiz before, my results were quite different back then... didn't much like this quiz because it was too long and I'm impatient.
  10. I don't think my school has any clique wars, the only people coming in that seem to have that problem are the freshmen. Once the year goes by everyone seems to start hanging around with everyone, you make a good friend one year and a new one the next year it seems like. I took a semester at a school that has a bunch a rich kids in grade 11, they had many of those. I was out of place because I never had troubles with that, and I was suppose to pick a side... I didn't like that so I had to go back to my old school.Even with my school being the biggest in my city and the second biggest in my whole province it's quite amazing that we don't have any of those. I have met people that go to school in bigger cities and say that it's the worst part of going to school.I agree that it is quite immature to still be doing still doing it after middle school, but I am not sure how it is in other places. And if these things keep up until they're older, I doubt they'll be any different when they're adults. Maybe I imagining that things are peachy keen, maybe there are cliques and wars going around that I have never known about. I have just not ever seen any besides with the grade nine kids... but they're not as bad as some other schools.
  11. I took a few swimming classes, I went swimming about two or three weeks ago and I couldn't even hold my breath underwater anymore. I had to stay at the kid end because I was just too lazy to swim. The last time I went swimming prior to this, I believe it was in a grade 9 gym class which was over four years ago. I can't remember much of it, because I think I socialized through the whole thing.
  12. I do as well, I am new so I'm not to sure what it's like at the moment. I've heard great things about Xisto The people in the forums talk highly about it, and there are many people using Xisto for hosting. I don't think the forum posting is that hard of a task, all I really worry about is becoming late in the forum posts. I use to be a forum junky so it shouldn't be a problem for me. Anyways I hope Xisto is the place for you, good luck.
  13. Lol at the cat image, that's adorable. Thanks for that tutorial, I may find a lot of use out of it. I was using a method that took a long time, or else I would just use Paints borders.
  14. I know I am in the hosted members thing, I kind of screwed that up. I'm waiting for a response from an Admin about that. Thanks for the inputs though, I'll just wait for an Admins response.
  15. If you are not sure of it I'm guessing the best thing to do is either wait until they break up or else move on to the next person. I had a situation semi to this, I was dating a guy I really loved whom allowed me to see this girl who my friend had tried to hook me up with. She was a good girl and I kind of felt like I was cheating them both. I didn't feel it right for them having to share. So I ended things as soon as I could so I didn't keep leading them on.You shouldn't have to share someone you like or are with, it's not fair to you or their other partner. If in time you decide that you feel comfortable with it, then by all means go for it. You have to be comfortable with it before you try get into something like this, because if you are not... there is no relationship to build off of that. Good luck with this, I hope things work out to your advantage.
  16. I get extremely angry when someone goes on my computer aswell. It's usually my sister who goes on and she tends to snoop around. She knows I have an online blog and I save my password so I don't have to keep re-doing it and she always reads it. She has her own computer but she insists on going on my computer so she can go on cam for her friends.I always put a screensaver lock on my computer, but what makes me angry is that she restarts the computer just so she can get on. She has ruined many of my work that I do on the computer so she can go on. She doesn't allow me to go on her computer but if I don't allow her to go on my computer she'll tell what I have said in my blog. With my poems and drawings I have made, I have had to hide them on her because I wanted them to be for my eyes only. When she does find them she makes it her sole duty to show and read everyone what I have written or drawn. She is younger then me and yet she has more dirt on me that even tide can't make it come clean.
  17. I have a hard time to get myself motivated because I suffer from depression and anxiety so it's really difficult to do so. When I can I usually force myself to do so... I'll tell myself if I don't do whatever it is I need to be motivated at that if I don't do it I'll miss out, and what kind of things would I miss out on if I couldn't even accomplish the smallest things. I have my lazy days too, I can go about a week being lazy. One thing that gets me motivated to get off my butt is to look around and if there is a mess I have to clean it. I hate being filthy. I think a good way to motivate yourself is to keep things in mind and maybe one day you'll get tired of your thoughts nagging at you and you'll do what you wanted to do in the first place.Disciplining yourself really isn't the answer, it could lead to making yourself feel really bad.
  18. Thank you for the information and replying so quickly. It didn't work, because there may have been a mistake in the type of account I signed up for though. Said I have an insufficient amount of credits. I'll just wait for a response. Again thank you.
  19. I got a email about 8 hours ago saying that my application for free webhosting had been accepted. I checked in the thread I had made in the Application Forum that I had made and there had been no response.I am fairly new to the site so I'm not too sure how this works. I didn't proceed as the email said I can because I am scared I may have been doing something wrong. So basically my question is: Do I have to wait for a response in my application thread, or do I just proceed as the email said to do?
  20. I understand that, I have been reading up on it in the questions and queries section. I have no complaints about it, and I do agree that it is worth the wait. I was rather confused only, I did get my email saying I was accepted. I just didn't see it in thread I had applied in... all I saw was NNR* beside the thread. Me being a newbie to this kind of forum, I don't exactly know what that means.
  21. I was confused, I still am. I had seen everyone had been accepted and mine wasn't... I then checked my emails a good four hours later and saw that I had been accepted. >.>
  22. My car is a 1992 Bonneville, not the best first car... but nicer then a lot of first cars. My dream car when I decide to get rid of this one would be a 1978 Trans Am. I love these cars, I always gravitate towards them. I started liking Trans Am's when I was 16... the first time I ever saw a Dukes of Hazzard episode.
  23. Thank you for your responses to my 'Rae' question. I did finally figure it out, and I felt kind of dumb for not getting it the first 4 times I came across what to do. I appreciate the help though.
  24. 1. Bridget Jones's Diary: I love this movie because I loved the book. I believe I've watched it over 30 times on TBS: Very funny, but I got tired of waiting for it to come around so when I got my chance I bought it. I have a thing for older british actors aswell >.>. The movie is a lot like the book Pride and Prejudice (which also stared Colin Firth in the A&E movie). I loved Pride and Prejudice and Bridget Jones's Diary is a parody of the film/book so that's my reason for this movie.2. Of Mice and Men: It's the same reason with Bridget Jones's Diary, they both come from books. Both are not exactly like it, but it was good anyways. I loved the book and after reading it I rented the movie and it turned out to be my favorite.3. Greese: I am a sucker for catchy music. I have seen this movie just as much as I have seen Bridget Jones's Diary.
  25. I hate having to do that. Of course I don't do it, the one who sold me my computer does it. If it breaks soon I doubt I'll ever be able to get it fixed. I don't have the driver installations or a Windows installation CD because I lent it to my brother and never saw it again. Then having to start all over again and try installing everything isn't so bad I can do it one day at a time, I don't really do much on it anyways.
