  1. Beat the *BLEEP* out of whoever dunnit.
  2. We're not evolving at all because we're using all of this new technology to "adapt and evolve for us".In case people haven't noticed, nature has been evolving since modern technology. We've gone way too far, folks.
  3. WHAT'S WITH ALL OF THE QUESTIONS THAT WE HAVE?!Cloning is completely ridiculous. Like all asexual reproduction, there's no room for evolution. If we never evolve, there may be a sudden change in the world we cannot adapt to because we are all clones, and then the entire population will enter tremendous decline. People think of cloning as a type of "reincarnation" but reincarnation would mean that you would have to come back with the same soul as before. As far as I know, cloning is just genetically identical, not atomically linked in any way. Which would mean that you would have two human beings that look exactly the same. Whoopdy-*BLEEP*ing-doo. I'd love to see the day where they create two humans that are made up of linked atoms and completely the same, every thought one thinks the other thinks as well, both moving hands at the exact same time, and having the exact same processes going on at the exact same time, but not like Siamese twins. Only problem is that when one dies, the other dies. So if you could do this after one is dead it would be a perfect scientific reincarnation. We're spending vast amounts of currency on useless science when we could be using it to solve global issues. We can live one more day without a replica. We won't live another day if we get annihilated by opposing forces in the war.
  4. We assume our system of machinery is perfect, therefore we never go back to revise what could possibly be wrong.Say I made an expo marker that could write on a whiteboard and do other stuff. People will start using my expo marker forever and ever and ever and will never go about making a new type of marker. The expo marker will become the "standard".When ever have we gone back and tried to recreate our machines entirely from scratch (not taking into account the old AT ALL) to get a better result? We just assume that it's the right way to do it and that there's no possible way of making it better.
  5. Just another American dream to make life easier when it would take much less time to get to your destination than it would to make the teleporter itself.
  6. Time traveling is a completely absurd idea, and it's only one more thing scientists (if they accomplish it) will do to destroy the world. Knowing stuff is fine, but knowing too much will lead to the end of the world. Read The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown, seriously, just do it. It explains everything for me. Say we do accomplish time traveling for real, not time manipulation as shadowx said, what would happen? We would become to curious and end up wondering, hmm? What will happen if we go back to the Jurassic period? Then we will create a rip in the fabric of time and destroy time itself. CURIOSITY KILLED THE *BLEEP*ING CAT!
  7. Wolfenstein 3d, hands down. One of the first if not the first, addictive, better than common shithead games like Call of Duty and Halo. Ye olde-time graphics also stimulate the experience. Something about old school turns me on...
  8. Airsoft. Great cardiopulmonary exercise and sometimes even muscular strength. You can do it with any body and any where (well maybe not anywhere but a lot of places) any time. It's cheap, no equipment required ('cept safety glasses obviously), less painful than paintball, you can go at your own pace, you set your own rules, you can do it with people you choose, it's outdoors or indoors and much much more. I am actually going to a scrimmage tomorrow and hoping to kick some *bottom*.
  9. What's up with the box that we put our post in? It's WYSIWYG but it doesn't let me seek or sometimes it glitches up and stays in one spot or the spot changes randomly. Should I just change it to the usual editor until this problem is resolved or what? This is really important because right now I'm having some trouble editing my posts because I can't tell where to edit it from so I can only add to it. Thanks. P.S. - The seeker doesn't show either.
  10. Just a random thought. public class Entity { public Entity(String name, int type, int x, int y) { setName(name).setType(type).setX(x).setY(y); } public String toString() { return "[Entity - " + getName() + "]: Type: " + getType() + " X: " + getX() + " Y: " + getY() + "."; } public int getType() { return type; } public int getX() { return absX; } public int getY() { return absY; } public String getName() { return name; } public Entity setX(int x) { this.absX = x; return this; } public Entity setY(int y) { this.absY = y; return this; } public Entity setType(int type) { this.type = type; return this; } public Entity setName(String name) { this.name = name; return this; } private int type; private int absX; private int absY; private String name;} import java.util.List;import java.util.concurrent.CopyOnWriteArrayList;public class EntityManager { public List<Entity> getEntities() { return myEntities; } private List<Entity> myEntities = new CopyOnWriteArrayList<Entity>();} public class EntityTest { public EntityTest() { getEntityManager().getEntities().add(player); for(Entity e: getEntityManager().getEntities()) { System.out.println(e.toString()); } } public static void main(String[] args) { new EntityTest(); } public EntityManager getEntityManager() { return entityManager; } private EntityManager entityManager = new EntityManager(); private Entity player = new Entity("Player", 0, 0, 0);} Tell me your thoughts! I just thought of this now so give me some credit .
  11. Aww my condolences to that family for the horror they must have been put through. Unfortunately, law enforcement hasn't caught up and hasn't even found the guy who shot me yet so that's not justice. I don't care though because hell, I'm still alive. However, I'm a male so I can't imagine the experience of being raped (well, if I ever did that would be a bit awkward). I'm saying the death penalty should be imminent for any crime doers despite the offense.
  12. My favorite by far is math. Great teacher, interesting subject. It's always fun not to understand something and then suddenly think "Oh wow, that's really easy!"I hate history because it's completely irrelevant to my education and a complete waste of time. Teacher is a *BLEEP*, homework is a shitload, and it's by far the most difficult class ever.English isn't that bad. Teacher is decent, homework is rare and that homework isn't that hard. Half of it is stuff I understand and people read so *BLEEP*ing slow I want to just shoot myself and end it right there. I swear, so many retards in the world.Science is just a *BLEEP*. Homework is not bad but when I don't turn it in I can go from an A to an F instantly, which is complete *BLEEP* since the only work that counts towards my grades is the work I do at home?! *BLEEP* THAT!
  13. This is by far the best antivirus program I have ever used. Norton 360 used to hog a BOATLOAD of memory and it wasn't even cutting it for me. It would make my start up time about 10 times slower and would interfere with a lot of my daily activities. When I came across NOD32 it completely changed everything! And half of the viruses Norton couldn't detect NOD32 detected them just fine. Had that stupid antivirus soft *BLEEP* on my junk every 3 seconds so I just got rid of it with this.
  14. Either notepad or Dreamweaver. Notepad for quick easy edits or starting from scratch and Dreamweaver for visual editing. They're two peas in a pod.
  15. PhotoShop CS3 Extended. It's perfect for my needs, and it's lighter than CS4.Fireworks for editing/creating sprites for games.Autodesk 3DS Max, Autodesk AutoCAD are great 3d design tools, as well as C4D.
  16. May I also recommend JARMaker? http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ And Jar2Exe? http://www.jar2exe.com/ Of course, if you're talking about hiding the window while you're running it just use javaw: @echo offstart javaw Main Otherwise you can do: @echo offtitle Runjava -Xmx256m Mainpause I don't understand the point of jarring it unless you're going to be distributing it.
  17. T X

    Why?

I just don't understand the sense of it. I understand the why portion, it just simply doesn't make much sense to me. I'm more curious as to how people make sense of this if they can't know for sure that it's true?
  18. T X

    Why?

Why are people religious? It is because they have had a like vision with them and god like hanging out?I mean, I'd seriously appreciate someone going in-depth about why religion makes sense and why it makes sense to be religious.I've never really thought about religion until now since I've been atheist my entire life. Can someone explain a little bit like what the bible and stuff say? I heard about it from a friend but I'm not interested until now because I got shot and I survived and I don't understand why. I was supposed to die but I didn't.Thank you.
  19. import java.util.Timer;import java.util.TimerTask;public class TimerTest { public TimerTest() { getTimer().scheduleAtFixedRate( new TimerTask() { @Override public void run() { System.out.println("It has been 5 seconds."); } }, 5000, 5000); } public static void main(String[] args) { new TimerTest(); } public Timer getTimer() { return timer; } private Timer timer = new Timer();}The timer will wait 5 seconds, then display the message, then continuously wait 5 seconds and display the message over and over again. I actually think this is kind of cool since I didn't know about it before. Documentation: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  20. Not a good idea to use visual editors unless you already have a template. And, umm, news flash? Dreamweaver? Ever heard of it?
  21. I never use flash for anything since it's overrated and not that great. However I usually do use a Java applet simply because it's simple and pretty much everyone has the plugin in their browser and if they don't it's their loss.
  22. I use it for programming my own databases in JPL but definitely not for web hosting, very bad idea.
  23. Mine's not hosted yet but it's going to be airsoft.
  24. Anybody who kills someone and is ignorant enough to get caught should be put to death. Why give them a second chance if they killed someone? Did that person get a second chance? I didn't think so. Those who kill someone and don't get caught are intelligent and deserve to live, and most likely have a more than good enough reason to do so. Those killed have gotten a second chance and more than likely blew it, thus offering up a sufficient reason to be killed. We don't put people to death because then suddenly we lose millions of jobs and our population rapidly decreases. I honestly don't care because it's never going to pertain to me, but that's just my view.
