Bad Luck [solved] Domain Registration

I was thinking to register a .asia domain. It was on sell at $8.99 at Xisto - Web Hosting last month. Looks great. But I wasn't sure which name is better-- I had several ideas on my mind. Also, MyCent was not enough to pay for that. So, I waited, thinking the domain and accumulate Mycent. Now MyCent nearly enough, I jumped in Xisto - Web Hosting to register. Guess what? It's not on sale anymore, it's now $18 I saw on other sites the .asia domains are still on sale, only Xisto - Web Hosting finish the promotion. What a bad luck I have!

Yes, I also noticed that all the domain name types (.com, .org, .asia) do not cost the same price, probably local regulation changes, for instance local pricing increase in asia?Did you try opening a ticket asking the reason of this price change? Doing that way you would have quicky the real reason.RegardsYordan

btw did you mean to put bad luck as yout topic title and not back luck. i think this is something to learn from as well if you want to accumlate that much money then you should research the non sale price first so that you don't get stopped by the end of the sale. btw don't take this as an ofence its just me giving you tips on how to make sure you still have enough mycents even if the sale ends. and as you are accumlating mycents you should also check Xisto - Web Hosting every so often to check that the domain is still on sale. another thing is that alot of domains also get charged on their length and how rare they are like 1 character names i believe cost alot more since there is only 24 letters available.

Bad luck, do you confirm? I expected the title to be a widely spread private joke, reversely shortening "Bad luck when I came Back" Sorry. Seriously, I changed the topic to "Bad Luck", waiting for a smarter suggestion.

That sale was ended few months earlier. It's just that site is not updated regularly here on xisto network. Many domains are still shown with sale headline or to catch attention. But they are not at that price at all. Take case of .asia and .in domains which are still shown with that offer price on Xisto - Domains.com. I think main site needs changes on regular interval,unless people here in xisto changes that more and more people are going to fall for it and then open thread like bad luck, but it's not relly

Yeah. I noticed that the .com, .net, and .org domain name price changed. I believed they used to be $9.99/year but now it is $12.99. I personally really don't mind at all though. It is just an extra quarter that I have to earn a month which isn't really that bad.

I received support ticket reply. Nik said that promotion was ended a while ago. Right now it's $12.99 on a new promotion till the end of this month. OMG, I better hurry up, currently mycent is nearly $8, gonna need another $4 I got confused about the joke on "Bad Luck", is it an special English meaning for this?

The payment is not settled yet though. I don't see any connection between the https://xisto.com/ and the Billing system that we signed up for MyCent record. I submit a ticket asking how to do it. Hope the MyCent payment option can be valid there.

If get positive result, we change the title to Good Luck

Please provide more information about the new promotion. The Billing and Support Section doesn't show any information about this promotion price. And https://xisto.com/ doesn't show any information about a lower price either.

The title Back Luck seems to be a contraction of I am back and Bad luck and I have bad luck when I am back.

That seems quite right. Please remember that, with the MyCents System, probably you can only order domains available on the Billing & Support site.For standard people, a ".asia" domain costs $18.99/1year.
So, please, keep us informed if the reduced price worked for you. Then, we will be able to switch the topic title to "Lucky Strike after Bad Luck".

Seems Xisto - Web Hosting has 2 links, one is the https://xisto.com/ which is with our Billing center. The Xisto - Domains.com has its own billing system, but they uses the same supporting system.

I got reply-- this new promotion is not available for MyCent option. Here's the reply:

Yes, you can use your MyCents for registering your domain and for hosting your domain. But if you are placing an order for domain through promotional offer in Xisto - Domains, then you cannot use your MyCents for registering your domain. For promotional offer you will have to pay through PayPal or 2Checkout payment Gateway.
If you are buying any domain from our billing system through the below URL, then you can use your MyCents for registering or hosting your domain

https://de.godaddy.com/ has a promotion. A .com domain for 1 year costs $ 1.17. The promotion code is holiday99. It needs a creditcard or a debetcard to order and to pay the order. Edited December 19, 2010 by zenia (see edit history)
