Recommended Posts

Hi, can I know what file types are allowed because the FAQ is down. I need the .htc .sh for ADR RPG Mod for phpBB.xxxx-jozh-xxxxPS: If all are allowed, just say all file types allowed, don't stress yourself by typing every file type!

Hi, can I know what file types are allowed because the FAQ is down.

Depends from where and what for.At Xisto, all filetypes are allowed. On some other servers, some filetypes are forbidden (like .htaccess or .htdocs).
However, remember that usually sql is reserved for sql files, so a forum environment could refuse names like .sql
Also remember that some conventions give special treatment for .html, .avi, .php or .zip extnsions.

Thanks, now I found a host that has got EVERYTHING I need! Just have to upgrade to the 30pts host package, then i'm installing ModX, ADR RPG Mod and the Simple Points System. Before I forget, these are for phpBB 3.x.

So ASP is a no, no, or it just won't be technically supported in it's intended fashion? And I didn't even know phpBB 3 was out and about, let alone so far, but I did stop using forum software like that a while back and decided to start building my own.I might have to check it out and see how the project is doing.

It's an allowed file type, but it won't eval. You can turn asp tags on, and make asp pages go to php engine. There isn't anything you can't upload (file type wise, child porn isn't allowed in any form), but many things like shell programs and m$ stuff can't be used.

Yeah so basically the structure intended for the file type associated will not be interpreted, but I can be used "technically", of course it wouldn't be much help, but nice to know that it is not restricted.
