BuffaloHelp 24 Report post Posted February 21, 2007 The reason is you're accessing cPanel using https. It's regular http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ where "site" is your domain name. You must click "yes" to security certificate message window.

BuffaloHelp 24 Report post Posted February 22, 2007 Assuming it's the same r.astahost.com, I can see your site and able to log into your cpanel.
Team Destiny 07 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2007 (edited) Assuming it's the same r.astahost.com, I can see your site and able to log into your cpanel. It's doing it again and everytime I try http is says cannot display....This is very annoying and yesterday https worked and I was on my cpanel but now today it's just really gay.Btw my site is h2.astahost.com Edited February 23, 2007 by Team Destiny 07 (see edit history)
BuffaloHelp 24 Report post Posted February 23, 2007 There was a brief outage with Gamma server for adjusting clusters. Your hosting shows the default index page and I can see your cPanel login again. Firefox, if you are using, seems to be having difficulties in connecting with cPanel these days. I tested with IE and connected by hitting refresh button when it seems bit slow. You can always check for Server/Network status by going to the top of the forum menu, Xisto > Server/Network Status
Team Destiny 07 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2007 I'm having a LOT of trouble logging in because everytime I type in http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ it brings me to http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ then if I try to log in it does http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ . It won't let me do this in http because http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ doesn't exist!

Team Destiny 07 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2007 That's the http and it still birings up the boxes in my pic link but I don't have the cert error thingy.
Quatrux 4 Report post Posted February 23, 2007 Personally, I don't have any problems connecting to the CPanel, if you don't want to connect with a ssl connection, just type any of your domain hosted with Xisto account and use the port :2082 and if you want to use ssl, use the port 2083 but with https <- type the s letter for ssl.. it will pop an authorization box where you need to type your username and password, do it correctly and you will be accessing your CPanel! BuffaloHelp 24 Report post Posted February 23, 2007 What it should happen when you go to h2.astahost.com/cpanel is this: A blank white background with Windows login pop-up screen shows up. Enter your username and password and the security alert pop-up window shows up. Click on YES, your cPanel would start to load. If your browser redirects bypassing any of the steps above, I believe the security setting for your browser may be too high or disabled. Your browser will redirect to https if Windows login screen is either failed to open or accepted cancel or null value. Try placing http://forums.xisto.com/ as your trusted sites under the browser's security. If you have any firewall running try settings so that it can accept--since I don't know what or which firewall you might have, I'll leave it as an open-ended question. Markymark2 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2007 As a test disable zone alram completely then clear the cache from your browser then reboot. When youve restarted go directly to the URL h2.astahost.com/cpanelThis should work..also if it does work then you will have to as Buffalo says..add the URL as a trusted site in your firewall.I think its the firewall throwing a fit maybe cos of the security certificate coming from a different site than the one mentioned in the URL..once you accept it once it should be good for all time.Like I said when I was trying to help yesterday (sorry I had to run out..my cat had got onto the roof and I had to go save him)..as soon as you get into the cpanel bookmark it..therefore when you go there again it will bring up the loginbox..I get my browser to save the password of cpanel so i just have have to click OK and I am in.Hope this sorts out the problem once and for all
