I Think I Am Going To Loose My Adsense Account Some fool clicke on it like there was no tomorrow.

Recommended Posts

I don't think there is a strict CTR limit, but I think you are safe if it is below 2 percent. As for being banned for "click fraud", I have also heard that this happens to many people, and not only after they pass 100 dollars, but even before.I have never recieved a warning from Google, and I hope that won't happen. Just don't click your own ads (a sentence repeated so many times) and watch the Google statistics carefully. If you see a sudden jump of clicks, be sure to contact Google and tell them you have nothing to do with it, that it must be someone trying to get you banned. Google has no patience for cheaters, but is good to its loyal users.

I have suggested to the Google people that they can wire it into the system so that when someone clicks on a ad from a particular ad unit, it should be turned off for that IP for a particular amount of time. Even if it is not turned off, the click should not be awarded by any monetary gains. That way, both the advertiser does not loose money, and neither does a Publisher get accused of foul play when a rival does such an act.

I am not sure if Google would act on this, but it seems logical to me. On the other hand, who am I to say? I do not even know the amount of resources such a system would consume and is Google capable of doing it.

I suggest that to them before more than a year already, so don't try to do dude, they will not listen to us, though anyway i prefer google to any other service all over the internet.

Damn, if you're worried about this, I should probably sign off right now ^^

Did you get paid for your Ads yet? Because I've read a bit in the Google Adsense Groups and there loads of users complaining that Google sent them off because of "click fraud" right after they reached the 100 dollar (get paid) mark.

that happened to me before twice with google adsense, but when i complete my site i will go with it again, lol, i tried bidvertiser, they are so bad, they even don't add money to my account, they seems to be scammers :D

i heard from a site admin that he gets paid like up to 1 dollar per click on certain ads, so im sure they pay good...the other question i wonder about is , if your website is just brand new out there will google accept you in the adsense program or not?@

It really depends on how new it is. If it's new like in "It's new - I just rented a host and uploaded only the index.html page", then it will not get accepted. On the other hand, if it is "I just bought a domain, but the site has been developed over the past month and it has more than 100 pages", it will probably be accepted.

There are only a few things that you have to worry about:

your site musn't be "Under construction"

you must have a fair amount of content/pages

the site musn't be against the Google AdSense (warez, pornography)

overall, it should be a good quality web site, not like the ones that are only supposed to bring you AdSense profit

When I applied for AdSense, I was using a small web site with a small amount of content. Somehow I was accepted, but I didn't earn much. So, even if you do get accepted, you need a good site nevertheless if you want good profit. At the moment I am working on a big web site with a lot of content (about 500 pages), and I am getting a domain name soon. Since I want real profit with this one, I will put up Google Ads only when I reach 100 visitors per day. You must have good tactics :D

Hello O Lord of The Internet, ( I Made that up ;))

It has come to our attention that invalid clicks have been generated on

the Google ads on your site(s). In the future, we may adjust your

payment for any days during which invalid clicks occurred in order to

properly credit advertisers for any invalid activity.

As a reminder, any method of generating invalid clicks is strictly

prohibited. Invalid clicks include but are not limited to any clicks

that are generated through the use of robots, automated clicking tools,

manual clicks by a publisher on the publisher's own web pages, or a

publisher encouraging others to click on his ads.

If you are <- snipped -> on your web pages for testing purposes,

please note that clicking on your own ads or encouraging others to do

so for any reason is prohibited, due to the potential for inflation of

advertiser costs. Please be assured that there is no need to test the

ads on your site, as our specialists review all of our ads to ensure

that they meet Google's advertising standards.

If you would like to visit the destination of an ad to view its content

or to add it to your filter list, you can use the AdSense Preview Tool,

available here:

https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/2411951?ctx=as2&hl=en&rd=2&ref_topic=2414281

The Google AdSense preview tool is an addition to the right-click menu

for Windows Internet Explorer 6.x, allowing you to preview the ads that

may show on any web page. Clicks and impressions from the preview tool

are not applied to the advertiser's account. You can click through to

the target site without worrying about invalid clicks being generated

on your account, and without costing the advertiser for your test

clicks.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reply to this email. We

will be happy to help in any way we can.

Sincerely,

The Google Team

Regards

Dhanesh.

This Google AdSense preview tool looks like a good thing to use, but I am suprised it is created for Internet Explorer. We all know that Google supports Firefox in a way, and we would expect from Google that they created a Firefox extension, too. This can be considered forcing AdSense users to use Internet Explorer - maybe Microsoft paid Google for this? Sure, there are Firefox extensions for this, but they are not mentioned on google.com.

One of these days, I got another mail from Google that some traffic was coming from places that gave incentives for <- snipped -> I was surprised as to where this has come from, because I have not even a penny to give or anything else to anyone who would click on my ads on my site.

Then, I thought back, and thought hard putting pressure on my brain (that is pretty bad at remembering things), and I finally realized that I had put up my site at a link exchange site (Link Referral or something like that). I went straight away and removed it from that place. Incidentally, my already measly earnings dropped to nil.

The only reason I think the Google did not out right ban me because I think I had brought to their notice about the earlier fraudulent clicks that got generated at my site. I think, that way, if the Google people know that you really make an effort not to fraud, and then they are considerate. Else, I think they just ask them to take a hike.

Anyway, I now have one concern. Can I not even place my sites at relevant directories? How am I supposed to get people see my site? Now, the only traffic I get is through people searching for something and my site popping up in the results.

But I think, I should also be considerate on the amount of content one has on the site. I have real less content at the moment. As I said in my Google Pages (the 3rd August entry), Harold Davis has something to say about it.

Here's what you need at a minimum to have a site drawing respectable numbers at the end of one year:-100 pages of quality content 'in the can' to start with
- On average, one new page of quality content a day every day of for a year (each page about 300 words)

I guess you could still submit your site to some more popular directories, and skip the suspicious ones. But I don't think directories are that important or useful. Sure, links are always useful, but it's better to have a link on a web site with a similar topic. And remember, Google AdWords is your friend :D

Now this is a good news! I've just installed a component on my new site (the one mentioned here: http://forums.xisto.com/topic/90830-topic/?findpost=1064352721) that generates Google Sitemap. Amongst other functions, there is one that shows you how many links were generated - and that is how many pages there approx. are. Currently I'm at 404 pages, but I think 150 more will be added until the completion. But there is still the problem of visitors..

You got 404 pages of moderate quality (300 words)! And you have not even started your site yet? That is really amazing. You must have worked real hard to get that much of content. Now that I think about it, I think that once you have enough content, I need not worry about directories and such things. Because even with a mere handful of content rich pages, I am getting hits from search engines that are quite relevant. So, I think if you have that 400 pages with quality content, you should be getting pretty decent traffic a couple of days since you lauch your website.

Unfortunately, not all pages have 300 words, but we can say that the content is quite good. In my opinion, the average number of words per page is about 200. I have 4 pages with over 1000 words, and the rest is between 100 and 400 words. I guess that word number can be ignored if there are many pages :D

Ofcourse they can be. My mistake that I did not specify it to be 'average number of words' per page instead of 'number of words' per page. That is a real content heavy site you have and I think it will drive traffic to your site by itself once it gets indexed by search engines. Moreover you use Google Sitemap, and I think that surely will get your pages indexed.Good going. :D

Hmm it's not exactly a good tactic for a site that doesn't require even half of that..... but ok lol.I mean for example, I put up a site purely for a peice of software I have developed..... it must be one huge and confusing piece of software to require a site with minimum 100 pages with atleast 300 words on each.....

You guys are all getting these e-mails saying that there was fraudulent behaviour detected in your account, I don't even think that Google cares in my case… I'd like to know whether those of you who got e-mails were already past the 100€ mark?Another thing: When I first tried out for AdSense I tried with my vocabulary trainer (see link below), but I wasn't accepted. They never told me why (since it complies to the rules as far as I know, but look for yourself), so I figured, the reason was technical insufficiency at the time. I then tried out with my (German) content web-site and got accepted. But I still placed ads on my (by then working well) vocabulary trainer, because it specifically says, that this is allowed in the Google-Help. But mine is a special case I guess. They didn't say a word yet, but I'd rather be faster than they are ^^ What do you guys think, am I violating any rules or not? Thanks for your help,Ruben
