XIII 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2006 (edited) I think there is a problem in Cpanel, i can see in my account cpanel "which is limited to 20MB as it's hosting plan 1", can see it says i use 3.4 MB/Unlimited and that the Disk Space available is Unliimited, thanks Xisto for that promotion "just kidding" , i thought i should post that in order to make admins know so they could fix this as soon as they can and anyway i don't think it's a plan problem, i think it's just a Cpanel bug "i suffered of it before when i had my VPS" Edited March 14, 2006 by XIII (see edit history)

Houdini 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2006 I have seen these type things happen before not just to you but to others as well, but believe me that it is short lived. I believe that when I had gone from one plan to another that right after the change was made that it did give the impression that I had unlimited disk space, but the next day it was correct. Apparently when the script updates users disk usage and available space it may report stuff that is not necessarily true. I would'nt start loading up the disk space because anything over you set limit will be lost or not even uploaded to your disk space.
Jeigh1405241495 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2006 Yea Houdini is right, when I first signed up for hosting here a bunch of us were surprised to note that our disk spaces all seemed to have interesting reports. Mine had 145/150mb used before I had ever uploaded a thing, another I think had some random weird "max" value... but after awhile it all calms down. Just give it some time and keep an eye on it and it should fix itself by the time it is relevant.Just try to keep mental track of what you upload and make sure it stays under 20mb until the bug fixes itself. If it actually let you upload more it could hypothetically cause issues when it realized you're account is supposed to have a 'bit' less then unlimited space
nightfox1405241487 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2006 Haha... never seen this. Of couse, I soar above the rest because I went directly for my 30 credits... well, last year when I found Xisto, I did have the starter package, but I did posting and within a few days upgraded. But that is very interesting though...[N]F
Jeigh1405241495 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2006 Actually I've never had the starter package and still had this error, so I think its more of a random thing then just for the starter package.Actually I just checked, it looks like mine currently is saying unlimited too... weird indeed

If it actually let you upload more it could hypothetically cause issues when it realized you're account is supposed to have a 'bit' less then unlimited space I'm not new to Xisto hosting, i have my plan more than 2 weeks ago, i didn't upgrade it yet, it was saying 3mb/20mb, now it says 3mb/unlimited, it didn't fix yet, still says the same, i don't think it's a bug in my account only, i think a lot of members have the same for now, as i said i suffered from this bug before when i had my own VPS, i'm not into using it as unlimited ofcourse as i know completely, once it fixed all the overloading data will be lost, i think it's a Cpanel bug, but i announced that cause i know some users may have problems because of that bug.Go Go Go Xisto, i like your unlimited space/bandwidth plan
Jeigh1405241495 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2006 Haha yea like I mentioned I notice now that mine says that too. Alot of people probably don't check their free space that often so it's not a commonly commented on issue (150mb is enough for most to not worry about it heh). But yea as long as you don't go over your ACTUAL allotted space I can't imagine any problems would arise
HellFire121 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2006 Hmm.. i think this has gotten beyond the pointno one has fixed it, where are the staff? anyway i am going to submit a help ticket at the Xisto - Support desk. That might clear things up.The problem has been around for a few weeks now.

To me it's over now, since i upgraded to the default plan, now it shows that the space is 150 MB , the starter plan was larger
HellFire121 0 Report post Posted March 24, 2006 hmm it is still the same for me
Quatrux 4 Report post Posted March 24, 2006 For me it shows Unlimited MB too, but I didn't upgrade or changed anything at all, but I don't really care about it, because I know that it is just a minor bug and I won't start uploading files as mad. Maybe with time it will disappear.

pyost 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2006 I have another issue, not realted to space, but to BW. Since I (re)activated my account, my spent BW was 380MB, but the stats show only 15 MB. Also, those 380MB were spent in about an hour. Is this also a bug or something else, and has onyone had this problem before?

Yeah, me too i had this problem twice before, once when i had my own VPS and it happened when i upgraded the control panel and added some new modules, that was really confusing because it occured some problems with my clients as they couldn't control thier space and bandwidth and started to upload over thier allowed spaces and bandwidth but once i restarted it everything came normal and they lost all the overload data anyway i gave them warning before i did that, but some thought they could escape with this space the second time happened here on Xisto a few days ago as i noticed that the used bandwidth was over 90% though i'm still finishing my site and didn't upload more than one page, and all the configuration for BB is less than 15MB but after a day or so everything went normal and it showed the actual used bandwidth.
